## Cisco Meraki Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Network Management with Cisco Meraki

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel L. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Meraki?**

I really like how Cisco Meraki is a single platform where we can manage all of our network and equipment. It's easy to manage wireless configurations and allows us to introduce new VLANs and manage SSIDs easily. The system includes portals for accepting terms and conditions, which simplifies management. I appreciate being able to see all of the LLDP information from the switches, knowing what's plugged in where, and what's currently being utilized from client health and other perspectives. The initial setup was really easy, it's pretty much plug and play. You just enter serial numbers, click through a couple of options for SSIDs, and you're good to go.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki?**

The way the SSO works with your 365 on the Meraki portal is quite a pain to move to. Having to remove yourself from every single individual company that you've been invited to before you can enable SSO, and then having to enable SSO on all of those other companies, that needs to be reviewed, really.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cisco Meraki to manage our network and equipment from one platform, simplifying wireless configurations. It's easy to add new VLANs, manage SSIDs, and see all LLDP info. This centralized system makes network management really smooth.

  ### 2. Easy, Single-Pane Management for Site-to-Site VPNs to Azure and WAN Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ariel T. | Director of IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Meraki?**

Extremely easy to manage! So nice to see everything all in one single pane of glass.
We primarily use these for setting up Site to Site VPNs to Azure and the process is significantly easier than setting up any other firewall we've used in the past!

**What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki?**

The pricing on the licensing is the biggest pain point for sure, but it's an enterprise-grade firewall, so it's to be expected.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Given that we use these to set up secure Site to Site VPNs to Azure, it helps us set up secure VPN printing and scanning for our customers.

  ### 3. Simple, Scalable & Centralized Network Management

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Cisco Meraki?**

As a consultant, what stands out most about Cisco Meraki is its exceptional ease of use and streamlined implementation. The intuitive dashboard makes network management incredibly efficient—even across distributed sites. Deployment is fast and nearly plug-and-play, saving valuable time during client rollouts.

The platform offers a rich set of features without overwhelming complexity. From real-time monitoring to automated alerts and robust security policies, Meraki balances depth with simplicity. Ease of integration with third-party tools and APIs adds flexibility for diverse environments.

Support has also been solid—responsive and knowledgeable, especially when handling complex scenarios. I use Meraki frequently across multiple client projects, and it consistently delivers reliable, scalable results. It’s a true consultant’s ally in modern network architecture.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki?**

While Cisco Meraki offers outstanding ease of use and fast deployment, the platform has some limitations that can be frustrating in a consulting environment. The overly simplified interface, while great for small teams, can restrict advanced configurations and granular control expected in complex enterprise environments. Integration with non-Meraki systems is also limited and sometimes requires workarounds or third-party tools. Customer support, though responsive, occasionally lacks deep technical depth for edge cases. The frequency of feature updates is modest, and power users may find the feature set not as rich or customizable as traditional Cisco solutions.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cisco Meraki has been a game-changer for my SMB, Enterprise clients and projects. Its cloud-native architecture integrates well with other platforms like Azure and Umbrella, making it ideal for hybrid environments. Overall, Meraki helps me deliver secure, scalable network solutions faster and more efficiently.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of visibility of backend features that can be enabled or disabled by Meraki to change the behavior of the appliance or entire network Lack of console connection for troubleshooting Meraki appliances can be more expensive compared to other solutions, especially for small businesses. Cloud-only management requires ongoing licensing fees that can add up or make your device a brick even if the hardware is still capable. Internet connection is mandatory for normal operation. Some features in Meraki MX might be limited or simplified (e.g. Firewall, Cisco AnyConnect) Limited customization options It is much a vendor lock-in situation and is usually natural to use Meraki MX in existing environments transitioning from Cisco Enterprise or green field deployments Some models might not be properly sized if the load is close to its limits Certain features might require additional expensive license
