## Huntress Managed EDR Reviews
 ### 1. A quality EDR that removes our stress

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam K. | Project Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR is great. We know that the team that are monitoring our systems know what they are doing. It's simple to setup and maintain and works great with out PSA and Ticketing system. The monthly reporting is great to show customers the value. We get regular alerts and it's easy to review and remediate any issues.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Trust has been eroded in Huntress as they didn't detect a breach via ITDR. Not directly related to EDR but it seems it's growth is possibly making it struggle with keeping up the service.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a smaller MSP it's great to have a team monitoring our clients endpoints and alerting to any issues. We use a different 3rd party AV solution but it's great to have another team checking it's work and verifying the endpoints are secure.

 ### 2. All round great company with rapid growth, but the value for money in 2026 is decreasing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Honestly, the main reason we like Huntress is active community engagement in an industry that's dominated by VC companies with terrible support. Huntress leads the MSP space for this reason. Additionally, they only alert you when you need to be - no alert noise when it's not needed!

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Whilst I absolutely recommend Huntress, we use Blackpoint as our main MDR provider now.

Huntress definitely has the biggest name in the community but I have personally found a real gap sometimes between the advertised features and the actual product. Basically if things are in beta, they should not be advertised as prominent features - things like detections on SIEM, and MDE integration were made out to be already implemented but digging deeper it turned out the SOC would not actually take action on these. I beleive it's fixed now but this sort of bait and switch has left a mildly sour taste sometimes. I guess the main thing is that Huntress doesn't do anything that no-one else does for a similar price in 2026.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is great for 24/7 peace of mind and solving alert-fatigue. The deployment through our RMM was the easiest I have ever done.

 ### 3. Strong EDR for Enforcing Password-Protected File Access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corbin J. | Network Security Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like that EDR can catch users who navigate to password-protected files. We’re trying to enforce a stricter password policy to ensure everyone stays as safe as possible. It is incredibly easy to navigate the UI which I really appreciate. It is as easy to install onto devices as well, making the entire deployment process simple to integrate.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I wish that there was more capabilities for users who already have a AV or EDR service installed on their computer, or a simple override feature. For example, in testing, I am trying to remove Datto EDR and HP Pro Wolf Security off my device to allow Huntress to work properly, but I cannot seem to uninstall these easily. I wish Huntress was able to work as seamlessly as Datto EDR can alongside Wolf Security. I attempted to reach out to SOC / customer support and did not receive a response, I emailed to incidents@huntress.com and never got a response, so I wish support was better at reaching back out.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As stated above, we are using Huntress to catch files with passwords for now, before rolling out other aspects since we cannot get the full EDR experience due to the conflicting software installed. We have also gotten a few ransomware alerts and was able to use Huntress to verify false positives, which has been incredibly valuable - as Ransomware attacks are an "all-hands-on-deck" issue.

 ### 4. Detailed Remediation Reports and a Lightweight Agent for Easy RMM Deployment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I really like the remediation reports Huntress provides when there are Incidents. It provides detailed information on remediations taken and clear instructions for us to action for assisted remediations.

I also really like how lightweight the agent is and allowed us to easily integrate it with RMM tools for easy mass deployment to client devices.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Nothing in particular that I dislike about EDR

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us solve the problem of security by having a an edr agent on client devices that we know is up to standard and can deal with relevant threats

 ### 5. Excellent Cybersecurity Insights at a Great Price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress provides information to the community about cyber-attacks and methodologies used by threat actors. The reports are clear and detailed with recommendations and processes to follow.
Integration and setup is easy with lots of resources for deployment and visibility.
The portal is generally easy to use and displays the important information quickly.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Support is extremely limited and not phone based, this is most likely why the price is so much lower compared to other vendors while still maintaining quality.
This low price point also has support putting some of the work of troubleshooting agent issues on the client instead of being handled by Huntress.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress provides a strong layer of defense to protect customers from the numerous and unending attacks from threat actors. We are able to provide our customers with true 24/7 protection compared to just an antivirus application.

 ### 6. Easy Deployment and Overnight Alert Monitoring You Can Trust

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Knowing that there is a team on the other end monitoring for alerts even overnight, ready to respond and to involve me (as a SOC team leader) if needed. Very easy to deploy and configure, easy to manage. They also have a very helpful support team that is always ready to respond.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The logs that you can search when only purchasing Huntress EDR (and not their other products) are not as helpful as I'd hoped, and the UI for that menu is not as useful as I wish it was.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that client EDR detections are addressed even if they come in overnight.
Ensuring that our clients (and our own internal company) is protected from ransomware.

 ### 7. Easy Setup and Reliable Post-Compromise Detection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The product is very easy to setup. Deploying it alongside other EDRs post compromise Huntress always found files left behind relevant to the attack.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Nothing. I'm very happy with the product.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It covers our insurance requirement for EDR and makes me sleep better at night.

 ### 8. Good product. Reliable, Multi layered approach to keeping the bad guys out

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

addition of ESPM and ISPM and anti-clickfix stuff.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Same applies, need a FEDRAMP version for most of our customer base.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SaaS component, one of the layers in our multi layered security approach.

 ### 9. Easy, Fast, Helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It's simple, easy to use, and does a great job of catching actual issues. The issues I do find with it are often already in the works of being implemented as new/fixed features. Their customer support live chat is responsive and seems to have people who actually understand and care about what I'm asking.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There are a few minor features which are missing to make it do what I'd like, such as not being able to have an individual company receive notifications of incidents.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This prevents needing manual intervention when an issue arises on a computer and allows for quick and easy implementation of solutions.

 ### 10. Just works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Great product, easy to integrate. quick to upate. While we haven't suffered a serious breach where Huntress have had to step in, we have partners in the community who have had great results.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I would have previously said allow us to have more access to the data for SIEM purposes though recently they have added that.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a great stand-in for a bespoke and expensive full SOC service and great as another layer of protection. Peace of mind we have an extra set of skilled eyes looking out for us.

 ### 11. Simple, Reliable EDR That Catches What I Might Miss

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edson M. | Service Delivery manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Its standout strength is simple, effective threat detection backed by a real human-led response that MSPs can trust

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Limited customisation and fewer advanced controls compared to some larger, more complex EDR platforms.
Limited integration with Autotask.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

expect it to catch threats I might miss, respond quickly, and give me peace of mind without adding extra work or complexity.

 ### 12. Exceptional Support and Reliable Protection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard K. | Cyber Security Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress support team have outstanding assistance! Every interaction was prompt, professional, and incredibly helpful. The Managed EDR solution has been a game-changer for our security posture—easy to deploy, intuitive to manage, and highly effective at detecting and responding to threats

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The built-in reports are useful, but they could benefit from more detailed analytics and export options for deeper investigation or compliance needs. Lack of Custom Report Building,Export Options, Compliance Reporting (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress excels at identifying footholds and persistent malware that traditional antivirus solutions often miss.
Rapid Incident Response -The Huntress SOC team provides actionable remediation guidance and even assists with containment, which significantly reduces response time during incidents.

 ### 13. Easy. Effective. Enjoyable

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We are a company on the smaller side in terms of staff, Using Huntress managed EDR gives us the flexibility of not stopping our work flow while still ensuring our customers security.

We get alerts quickly with an easily implemented PSA Intergration.

Customer support is fast through the live agent and I've yet to run into an unpleasant experience with a support agent.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The only thing I can say I "Dislike" about Huntress is that in the tool-allow-list I can only input static IP's instead of DNS. The RMM we use changes their static IP's a lot so its not really manageable to keep these updated.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives our team time to not have to crawl through logs of various devices, we get the filtered information and solutions made by the SOC team. Giving us more time for other things

 ### 14. Simple, Effective, and Backed by Great Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergey M. | Systems Administrator & Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The deployment process is extremely easy. Huntress support provides fantastic remediation insights - it's not just alerts, it’s guidance.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Lack of deeper configuration options for advanced security tuning.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It fills the security gap for SMB environments where dedicated security staff isn’t always available. Huntress acts like an extension of our team, providing expert analysis and confidence that threats won’t go unnoticed.

 ### 15. Clean interface and intuitive tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad J. | Service Desk Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Being able to go straight to the escalations tab to authorize a location or isolate a device makes reacting to alerts very efficient. I have only had to raise one support call but the response was very prompt.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The option to authorize a location across the whole company is a bit tricky to find.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to offer more security services to our customers and offer them more peace of mind regaring their log ins.

 ### 16. Comprehensive threat detection and prevention system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jade A. | MSP Systems Technician, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The good thing is that Huntress Managed EDR simplifies the process of both identifying hidden threats as well as remediation. It’s very user friendly and it just worked with our RMM tools already so it integrates easily into our work flow. What makes threat alerts so useful is that they come with expert recommendations, so we can fix vulnerabilities fast. The automation removes a lot of pressure off of our team, so we can continue to uphold high levels of security without any extra work.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There’s a relatively limited number of reporting options in Huntress Managed EDR to offer which I do not like at all. Nevertheless, we cannot go as deep as we would like in the customization of reports, so often, there is a need for using other tools. Furthermore, the software can be more specific in its notifications as they seem to flood the system at one time. These weaknesses result in inefficiency during the period of high tasks workload.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR is an incredibly good at finding stealthy threats, drastically reducing our manual investigation time. For much of this threat detection automation, it offers clear, actionable insight to help resolve things quickly. It helps us to cut loss and risk our clients being down time. It’s also a good tool for building trust from the client since we’re able to show the client how we proactively protect their systems.

 ### 17. Protects our systems efficiently and effectively

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha F. | Network Safety Officer, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What I love most about Huntress Managed EDR is how it reduces the likelihoods of security gaps. It puts reports of threats into action, preventing issues from escalating so it’s free for other things to take up the time. The insights are always useful, and the system almost always catches things that would have otherwise skipped by. This complementing our current tools very well and giving us more levels of defense and the ability to continue to operate without interruption or downtime.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR is pretty solid overall, with one downside being the how it deals with a select number of possibilities. Generally speaking, it’s a bit more of a common vulnerabilities type of thing and sometimes doesn’t get to more nuanced risks. Its response has thus relied on manual adjustments to fine tune its response. On top of that, it provides lots of valuable insight, but it may also generate alerts, not all of which are properly applicable to our environment, leaving us to spend time on false positives.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because of the automation of so many of our security processes Huntress Managed EDR has left my team free to do more strategic work. And it just makes sure that we don't miss anything important on the daily grind of threat detection and response. It allows us to stay secure without having to handle so many alerts. Through its proactive approach, it has allowed us to resolve potential security issues, quickly and minimise the impact on operations.

 ### 18. Huntress Ecosystem is easy to maneuver and keeps our clients safe.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James C. | IT Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Though I am new to the Huntress ecosystem, I have finding it's management interface intuitive to use and, specifically, quickly finding problems in our client's endpoints.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

At first it took a little getting use to where to find things - had to constantly go back to the Dashboard to find my way to a particular screen that I wanted.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is ensuring that no malicious code gets out on our clients networks and is contained to only one endpoint (if any). For us, this helps us manage the many client environments and ensure they are kept protected at all time further strengthening their trust in us.

 ### 19. Proactive threat detection for our network

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharma S. | Incident Response Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I love how Huntress EDR gets you the tricky threats when other security teams miss them. It is not replacing our current security infrastructure but it works in conjunction with firewalls and the likes, antivirus programs, to name a few. With all this detailed reporting, we get better insights into incidents, and are able to respond faster and more effectively. It has helped us add this layer security for mitigating risks and securing our environment.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR has the occasional false positives and I don’t like that they tend to occur when running a software update or making changes. The speed in support team resolving these issues is great but it regresses our workflow with some unnecessary disruption. It also would benefit from more granular alert setting customization options, which we would like to be able to set notifications to a specific threat level more effectively.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR works on the issue of delayed threat detection by providing real time monitoring and immediate response. To us, this means seamless integration with our existing security infrastructure which allows us to take a very proactive stance on security. It has drastically decreased our IT team's workload to automate many of the reply processes, so we can focus on more critical items and help our defense posture.

 ### 20. MSP Using Huntress

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress is easy to use, with just a few clicks to connect a tenent, or roll out the agent we can roll it out very easy.

If you ever need help, their customer support is very good with lots of documentation and the live chat is answered within minutes. We log into it every day to view our dashboard which shows all the clients in one view.

We also have it intregrated into our other platforms, so everything is in sync.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The MDR platform needs a bit more work, but more gets added to it each week and it finds issues with client accounts when they get comprimised.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us a SOC that is 24/7, we cannot hire something to do this due to the size of our business. The products price point sits at a point where my clients are happy with it.

 ### 21. Efficient endpoint security with seamless monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gloria I. | Senior network administrator, Medical Devices, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The easiest part of Huntress Managed EDR is implementing and integrating it into our security solutions with short lead time. It also integrates well with other monitoring software that we use in order to check and control the related alerts. Of course, the everyday proactive briefings are also rather valuable as they allow to keep up with the relevant threats. It has become also convenient for us to work with because it provides endpoint protection that is secure, easy to manage in case of any threats.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I have found Huntress Managed EDR to be useful so far, although there is still a lot of potential for fine tuning advanced threat settings for clients. Once in a while, the strategy of how specific threats are dealt with is dictated by the platform and doesn’t allow for much choice on our part. This kind of approach does not allow for individual customization especially when addressing threats that may need unique measures hence slows the rate at which some issues are handled.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through Huntress Managed EDR, we are able to counter cybersecurity threats effectively before they progress, majorly through dealing with concealed weaknesses. That by automating these detections, and reporting back on regular intervals, has helped to ease the burden of threat management. Despite the fact that it is a proactive action, it has offloaded the work of our security team and enhanced the system’s security and made the environment secure for the business to expand.

 ### 22. Threat management isn't a problem anymore even for busy IT teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie A. | Incident Response Manager, Plastics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There is one thing I like about Huntress Managed EDR and it’s that it is designed to detect threats that evade antivirus solutions. This offers detailed endpoint monitoring without stressing the assets’ performance in any way. The level of integrability with other security systems is just incredible, and the fact that you can automate the response to threats helps save a great deal of time on many other related tasks.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What I have realized is that the Huntress Managed EDR interface can sometimes give earnings when table is full. Managing through piles of papers to determine which of the incidents deserves attention first can be time consuming. Another concern which is not a big drawback though is that its threat intelligence sometimes is rather not the freshest. For it, We have been forced to investigate it only for newer and smarter threats and this has led to slow responses to certain cases.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR addresses the problem of identifying and recognizing advanced threats, especially fileless malware and persistent attacks that evade ordinary security systems. For us, it has dramatically enhanced our ability to respond to incidents and offload work from our IT staff. It’s good to know that all our endpoint have been monitored and that gives us the advantage in detecting threats early enough hence limiting the effects on our business and operations.

 ### 23. This software's continuous monitoring improves our system security

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdellah M. | Senior Systems Administrator, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I believe that threat hunting is the most attractive feature of Huntress Managed EDR to me. Besides this, it constantly scans over our networks, which we ourselves could have not noticed threats in. This is due to the software’s flexibility in being updated at times hence ensuring we are always protected against these security risks. I also like the detailed reports which it produces that provides a better picture of the problems occurring and how to solve them.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The main drawback of Huntress Managed EDR that has been identified is the relatively long response times from the customer support team. The support team is rather knowledgeable and helpful, however, it remains rather slow at times and it can get quite annoying during security incidents. It has sometimes slowed our ability to quickly address issues as is often desirable for security related issues. This is something that can surely be changed to help make a better experience.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that Huntress Managed EDR helps us address specifically is the possibility of malware or persistent threats going unnoticed. With its constant surveillance and hunting for threats, it has helped reduce the number of occurrences that we handle greatly. This has been especially helpful in preserving the image with the clients who expect their information to be safeguarded. The advantage is obvious as we are not spending much time on fire fighting and instead focusing on more value-added work.

 ### 24. This software's roactive security monitoring improved risk management in our company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee C. | Security Operations Center Analyst, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

One of the great things about Huntress Managed EDR is the total visibility it brings to our network security. The service provides us with in depth threat intelligence and practical information which allows us to anticipate attacks. Easy integration with all our other security products, such as our incident response and management systems, is seamless, and further strengthens our security stance. That agile support team also helps simplify our security management.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR often times have so much information on its dashboard, it can be hard to filter through to find what you need to address critical security issues. This makes us slower to react to danger. There's also the cost of the software, which may not be an issue for larger companies, but would be for smaller ones, potentially making this infeasible. These have at times also been impediments to our effectively managing and prioritizing security risks.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR eliminates the issues of identifying and reacting to sophretened threats with unified monitoring and analysis. This has been a huge asset in both finding vulnerabilities and reacting quickly to incidents. The granular visibility and proactive warnings provided by these insights allows us to remain one step ahead of threats, improving our security posture as a result. This has created a more secure atmosphere and lessens the chance of a compromise.

**Official Response from Chelsea Junget:**

> Hello, thanks so much for your review and feedback specific to the dashboard. Our product design team is looking into how we can better utilize the dashboard view to surface the critical information you need so you can identify and make these important decisions faster.

 ### 25. This software provides effective threat detection and response to them

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lilith O. | Senior cybersecurity analyst, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

One of the advantages of Huntress Managed EDR is that it integrates features with our SIEM system, strengthening the security infrastructure. Due to its easy to use interface, it is not difficult to operate. It lies in the reliable and timely threat identification alerts that assist in handling actual threats with due promptness. From my experience, this software is very effective in dealing with fake positives thus easing my work. Customer support is always polite, friendly and ready to assist customers, which is always an added advantage.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There is, however, a major drawback of Huntress Managed EDR, which is how it sometimes flags things that are not threats. Such false alarms are rather annoying as when we receive an alert we have to check it, and this takes our time. Also, the first couple of steps were cumbersome, taking a lot of time and effort to tell the programme the right settings to use. These issues have created inconceivable confounds and hitches in our security business.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Huntress Managed EDR has been of great value in improving cybersecurity through a great threat detection and response system. It addresses the problem of unknown cyber threats since it provides alerts that are accurate and timely for allowing timely actions to be taken. It is utilized frequently because its multifunctional design helps streamline our security processes. I have noticed that this has brought a positive change since it has limited the need to constantly monitor threats while making our security stronger.

 ### 26. Huntress as a Security Stack tool for MSPs which simply "Lurks in the Darkness" to guard you.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fred H. | Founder and Chief Technical Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We've been using Huntress for a number of years now, if it weren't for their reporting, I would be wondering what am I paying for. If your clients aren't compromised, don't expect to hear from them. In the past year, they, apparently, wanted to convey to their client-base that they are on guard, so they ran a LOW LEVEL scan of all clients. The result: Many of our clients are using the wrong tool to protect their passwords, so we sent out letters to them advising them of better options. Now, we have more users getting onto password managers instead of using their Word, Excel or notepad to store confidential details.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Although Huntress gives us statistical feedback on its findings, it remains silent until called upon. You may wonder if it even does something till it's needed. This is a pro and a con - providing doubt, but with their reports, confirming activity. BTW, their reports are amongst the best of all my vendors.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is a product that fits in between many tools that we use without conflict (as long as you don't enable the isolation capability).

 ### 27. Always great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The support has always been really helpful. They have listened to feedback and have taken it onboard to implement suggestinos from the community.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The alerts we recieve can sometimes feel like there is only one option to resolve however in some cases we just need this to temporarily allow or dismiss an alert. Thankfully the support team have confirmed that there are new feautres coming out to rectify this so this shouldnt be a concern for much longer.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes our life easier by not h aving to worry about users being compromised as we trust Huntress will be monitoring and will pro-actively resovle any issues that may come up.

 ### 28. A Tale of 2 MDR

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I love the ease of use and how easy it was to integrate with our PSA and RMM platforms. For such a feature rich platform it is very cost ffective.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

One downside is that it doesn't integrate with our End Point Protection choice

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is helping us protect our clients data by having round the clock monitoring.

 ### 29. Great company to work with

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven S. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Firstly I love that they are a nice company to work with, regardless of the technology, they are a great bunch of people to work with. On the technology side they provide exactly what they say on the box. No over marketing fuss, just real value delivered through a combination of technology and people. They also do all the heavy lifting making things easy for my internal team to handle security incidents.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Areas of improvement would be around greater improvement in the integration with Defender P1 and P2 licenses.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide the 24/7 monitoring and expertise, they evaluate the incidents and only alert us when there is something actionable.

 ### 30. Huntress is a great fit for MSPs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like the ease of having all of your exlusions and options to run scans as well as other important info about each managed device right in one place. It is also easy to manage in terms of installing and uninstalling agents. I also like that it integrates with our ticketing systme and allows us to receive alerts via tickets.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The only downside that affects our MSP is that clients that have to deal with CMMC compliance are not able to use this product bease they do not store of their data/ops in the USA. Not a huge deal, but it is something that we run into with sopme clients.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to run remote scans and have remote visibility into the state of Windows Defender accross all managed devices that have the agent installed.

 ### 31. good product but so dependant on windows defender health

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin E. | Senior System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

portal access is working great, easy to find machines with issues

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

no tamper proof of windows services is avilalbe, so people can stop service and huntress is useless

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

help with alerting and infections of customer machines

 ### 32. Active insights and proactive remediations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Having the SOC allows for less intervention from the support desk who are more valuable managing customer queries opposed to security alerts

easy deployment via installer or script

support team are very good and quick to answer/resolve queries

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Interface can be jumpy when switching between organisations

the MACos deployment is tricky due to different security extensions requiring individual permissions on the endpoint

I would expect some applicaiton vulnerability reporting to be added in the future however right now it is not available

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less intervention required from the tech support desk reagrding security alerts and remediation tasks required as it is automated or actioned on request

 ### 33. Amazing Product & Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Managed EDR has saved our MSP time and money. We struggled to find a managed solution at the same level as Huntress.

The team, specifically Sean Stitt and Dylan Reyes have been super helpful in our queries and the product is improving.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We haven't found any. Possibly that the agent works best with Defender for Endpoint. It'd be great to implement better with other products.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding a cost effective solution with a good understanding of our region was hard. Barracuda was fine, but was not able to adjust to our timezones in all areas.

Huntress solved that for us. The team were able to get timezones all correct without requesting.

 ### 34. Great EDR, but no Linux support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan C. | IT Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like that it protects our clients and is very good at catching malware and Cyber Security threats. It's easy to install and deploy to our client's machines. I have not dealt with customer support personally, but I have heard good things. We use this daily to monitor our clients and it's deployed on all new machines. It integrates very nicely with our RMM Ninja.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

No Linux client or support and seemingly no plans to support Linux in the future. I can't protect my business laptop because of this.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protecting our secutiry and relieving the anxiety that comes from today's hacking and ransonware epidemic.

 ### 35. Keeps my data safe!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I appreciate the strong detection capabilities of Huntress Managed EDR, as well as its ease of use and intuitive interface. The platform provides comprehensive protection against advanced threats and allows for quick and effective response to potential security incidents.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I have not encountered any notable drawbacks with Huntress Managed EDR. However, some users may find the pricing to be on the higher side compared to other EDR solutions.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR helps to identify and mitigate advanced threats and malware that traditional antivirus software may miss. This proactive approach to cybersecurity helps in detecting and containing potential threats before they can cause significant damage. As a result, it enhances the overall security posture of the system and provides peace of mind knowing that potential threats are being actively monitored and addressed.

 ### 36. User Friendly and Reliable

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gina M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It is very helpful how user friendly the interface is and it makes it easy to introduce new users. Huntress is also very reliable and trustworthy. Any incidents are always met with a detailed and intelligent response. Implementation was also very seamless and easy.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

As easy to use as it is, it would be nice to have more training available within the Huntress realm. There are a number of YouTube webinars etc. it would be nice to see those housed on the Huntress site and made more readily available to partners.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wouldn't necessarily say it has solved problems but it has become an important tool in assisting us in managing detection and response. It beneficially as it is reliable and trustworthy taking a lot of worry off of technicians.

 ### 37. Huntress just works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

End user reporting. Your reports that we give to our clients they eat up. They look great. Have meaning full "Simplified" content and data that they can understand.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Wish it worked with more then just MS Defender for AV. We use SentinelOne 😉

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well since we really use SentineOne, it's the pretty reports it makes for our clients. And for the really cheap client what won't pony up for S1. Huntress' support and management of MS Defendar make it worth while.

 ### 38. Like having your very own SOC, worth every penny.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rowan O. | Cloud and Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Issues are reviewed by the Huntress SOC and remediations are advised by Huntress which removes most of the hard work. The UI is very easy to use and notification emails are detailed so you don't have to log in to get all of the info you need.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I'm yet to see any downsides. The whole system has been great.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lots of our users like to save password files. Huntress notifies us as soon as one is spotted which allows us to educate the user and protect their passwords.

 ### 39. Huntress EDR

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard R. | Technical Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The notifications and actions provided for our support team and the clients that we support, has all been eceptional. The features inside the portal are easy to get to, and easy to coach and understand. We are in the portal daily, and when threats are identified we are able to take action immediately with the response from Huntress.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Man, it would be really sweet if we could get a dark mode for the portal.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping to keep our endpoints/clients secured.

 ### 40. The dreaded "passwords.exe" are a thing of the past!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We have so many customers that were non-compliant with policy and genuinely risking it all by having passwords and bank account information stored on unprotected Excel documents. With Huntress automatically recognizing these vulnerabilities, we were able to communicate the importance of security to our clients and get them using a much more reliable password management solution. Add in the fact that it installs extremely easily through scripts, and you've got yourself a winning product!

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Genuinely, from my ussage, I ahve not encoutnered anything that I dislike. Nothing is perfect - I am sure something will come to mind eventually as I explore the product more. For right now though, I have no issues.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's benefiting us by getting us ahead of the curve on user issues. We are notified quickly about any issues whether it be malware or risky documents to be storing on the internal drive. We can take action before users even know they have a need.

 ### 41. Enhanced Security with Streamlined Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR has provided our organization with a high level of security, effectively identifying and mitigating threats without significant input from our IT team. Its autonomous response to threats aligns well with our goal for efficient managed IT services.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

While Huntress Managed EDR is a strong contender in the security domain, I find that the reporting features could be more robust, providing deeper insights for IT admins to analyze. Additionally, the learning curve for new users could be steep, suggesting a need for more comprehensive training resources.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) primarily solves the problem of advanced threat detection and response at the endpoint level.

**Official Response from Tayler Blanc:**

> Hi Steven! Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Huntress Managed EDR! We're glad to hear that it has enhanced your organization's security and streamlined IT management. We appreciate your feedback on the reporting features and user training resources. **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Easy agent install with a clean dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Lacking a little information regarding trial periods.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ingestion of data from endpoints without needing to spin up other infrastructure.

 ### 43. Great product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike B. | Project Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The service works very well and is extremely informative. It even provdes remediation steps. Even the integration piecse is very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Do far, nothing! It's been a solid product for us.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have already been alerted to several suspicous email settings. For instance, it detected rules forwarding message to the RSS feed and deleting messages from sent items.

 ### 44. Fairly comprehensive, but somewhat frustrating

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert T. | Client Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It's comprehensive and stays out of the user's way

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It's a bit resource-intensive and sometimes interacts poorly with Windows Defender, requiring the creation of exceptions. Web portal is also somewhat frustrating to navigate when in a rush

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its low profile nature helps us provide comprehensive protection without spooking the users and leading to false-positive tickets

 ### 45. Changing, reinventing, blazing new trails

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel D. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress filled a very specific get when we first adopted it. It was redundancy for AV after breaches had already happened. In the last few years, Huntress has expanded and works more closely with Defender, most recently branching into MS 365.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We ended up going with a different product as there were some conflicts between our AV and Huntress that caused Huntress not to react quickly to an exploit. But for clients not using a robust, comprehensive XDR/SOC solution that covers all ground, I would still recommend supplementing basic AV with Huntress.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supplmenting a basic AV product for clients that have not transitioned to a full XDR/SOC solution

 ### 46. Very good product and great support.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymond C. | Network Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Easy to manage. No pushy sales. Great customer service.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I wish pricing could be better and more functionality.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this in connection with EDR and SOC. We feel our security on our internal network is substantially stronger.

 ### 47. Fantastic protection with a lightweight agent.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Very lightweight agent / footprint on workstations. Communication from Huntress when threats are identified. Customer support during the week when identified.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Afterhours and weekend support for threats.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress helps us cover a EDR offering with our MSP business with a lightweight, easy to use tool that offers great support. We have had infections in the past where support reaches out to our techs to help make sure it is front and center.

 ### 48. It just works! Low touch and simple.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Very low touch. I am not fighting false alarms all day. Great support as well.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Billing is kind of silly, I get the bill on the same day that it says it is due.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insurance requirements, 24x7 SOC that is affordable.

 ### 49. Nice Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It's fairly hands off and easy. Not hard to install and manage.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Updates are cumbersome at times and can slow a computer's performance.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping provide insight on malicious activity.

 ### 50. Very Helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Very easy to use - Very Easy to Manage Devices.
Implementation is very simple, and is something that I have been using a lot recently.
Customer Support has been incredibly helpful as well

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Its UI can be a bit too much, Seems to be a little cluttered but other than that it is still fairly simple to get around.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently using it as an AV, it has been very easy to just push it out to devices I manage as well as remove them from devices if that device is being decommissioned.
