What do you like best?

The tools are good. I really like how fast I can connect to a client when they call. It has so much potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Terrible. Your RMM tool is really important and you want a company that is trying to help your business grow by having great additions for the platform and services that you can then offer your clients and perspective clients. Connectwise has wanted to extract as many dollars out of my pocket and have no intention of having a business relationship what so ever. In my 24 years in the industry I have never had a company treat me this way but they did and continue to. I have heard from 30+ other companies ceo's saying similar things that there is not partnership just a money grab. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Run the other way. They are losing clients like you and me every month. I thought it would be a great partnership but I was completely wrong. They were purchased by another company that I believe is trying to take it public and money talks and no action or care. You want a company that helps you with the platform and they get you setup and have a nice day. Everything after that is at a cost. There are other companies that have unlimited support and there is a reason they have an easier platform that is built in the last 5 to 7 years and built to do what we have asked for from the beginning so if you still make the move to Connectwise Automate you can only blame yourself. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Because I can't count on Connectwise to be a valuable partner with my company I am having to change once again to a new product and go through the learning pain of a new platform. What do you like best?

Screen connect is very fast and easy to use to remote controls remote machines Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes there are issues with duplicate agents for Thin Clients or VDI's. In addition to that there are bugs that needs to fixes for Mac iOS so you will be able to use all the features the same way as for windows devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One of the benefits are the scripts and patching, these two features are very convenient for large organizations where most of the systems are base of automatization. What do you like best?

I like the scripts that come with automate and the ability to add scripts to help with ongoing maintenance of devices. This can and has saved time doing routine maintenace.

The alerts are also handy and create a good history of what is going on with a device. Is an alert a one-off issue or is it repeatable and requires some proactive action to keep my clients systems running optiminally. These 'alerts' form tickets which I use as a reporting tool to show my clients what has been worked on over the past 30-days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Two things that I dislike

1. back in 2017 Connectwise changed their reporting tool. They have got rid of reporting that was designed off of Crystal Reports or similar. Was easy to understand and create your own reports. Now the reporting tool is some other engine that has verfy little documentation on how to create new reports.

In addition, their scheduled reports do not fire off correctly. Since day 1, I have received reports titled for one client, but the details of the report is for a different client. It's 2020 now, and as of nearly two months ago, I kept getting on support's case about this matter and that it's never been fixed and that it's a security risk. Since support finally worked through two calls to 'fix' the issue and left the ticket open should the result come back the same (which it did) it's now been moved "up the chain" - have not heard anything back from support or development yet.

The second issue is suport. I mentioned in an earlier reivew that there is no longer an 800 number to call for support, you have to either open a ticket via a portal and do email correspondance or you need to open a chat session and at times can take well over an hour.

If I'm doing a roll-out to a new client, i stand by my opionon that if I run into a problem, I want to call someone for support so I can complete my roll-out and move on, not waste time at a client site or have to put the roll-out on hold for one or two days. By which time, it's next to impossible to replicate the issue becuase when support does reach out to me, I'm not able to get on my customer's site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Connectwise does have a lot of training available.

If you cherish talking to a live person for support, this really won't be your cup of tea.

If you like to design your own reports, maybe you'll have better luck then myself to get reports designed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Finding failed drives and getting alerts for them before the drive actually fails. Finding bottlenecks in memory as well and boosting computer memory to make the system respond better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The most helpful thing about connect wise automate is that you can see all the computers specs without actually doing a remote session into the clients computer. In addition, it's helpful to be able to sort computers by company or by group. In addition, I like that we can use connect wise on computers that don't have the agent installed, by using our link to start a remote session which becomes visible in our side in the support sessions viewer. What do you dislike?

One downside of connect wise is that I have found that a few clients are unable to use the agent. We haven't figured out why. In addition, in the past five months, connect wise has gone down twice, which caused us to have a lot of down time and were unable to help customers while connect wise automate wasn't working so we couldn't do remote sessions. We solve many problems with connect wise automate, as an IT Managed service provider, having a reliable screen sharing software and the ability to push scripts without doing a re mote session is amazing. What do you like best?

I like the full view you can get into endpoint machines. the reporting is comprehensive and generally useful. the 2FA is a much needed upgrade, so nice job CW> Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

the desktop version is very slow and can bog down my machine quickly. The web version has about 1/4 the functionality of the desktop app. Reports are clunky and hard to refine for usefulness. A lot of unneeded white space really racks up the page count. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The ability for scripts, management, patching, and grouping in this software is INSANE. The ability to simply click on a device an have total control over it remotely with no downtime for the user is critical for our MSP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The mass administration instruments are great, worked in time recording functions admirably. You can move modules around to modify your very own view which is useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

They seem to maintain a strategic distance from telephone discussions and direct correspondences at all expense. While I understand that they need to deal with a ton of calls, other programming organizations are a lot hotter and friendlier with regards to getting specialized help with a genuine human cooperation. This is a one stop look for MSPs. On the off chance that you are searching for a ticketing framework, that coordinates with the majority of your required divisions, for example, Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable, Shipping, Marketing, Sales, Administration, and that's just the beginning, this has highlights for every one of them. What I like about ConnectWise Automate is the centralized way in which we can monitor the status of our network equipment, verify failures, security alerts, bad configurations among others, and this tool also tells us when a new device is detected. our network Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I do not like how heavy the application is at the moment of opening it and that sometimes you have to close it and open it again in order to update it.

What do you like best?

As a MSP, we need a tool that allow us to monitor and manage many endpoints simultaneously at a very efficient level because our customers needs to be focus in their core bussiness, and not in the maintenance of theirs desktops and laptops.

ConnectWise Automate (Formerly Labtech) give us that and more, gived us the solution for thats repetitive tasks that take forever.

The integration with CW Control (Fornerly ScreenConnect) and CW Manage is very nice and smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Its not a plug and play solution, you need to learn how to use it, and you need to learn a lot, the university give you some help, but still you need a connectwise consultant to implement it.

This tool is not a one person administration, you will need a least two persons to deploy and mainten it.

What do you like best?

What I like about ConnectWise Automate in the first place is the amount of things that can be done with this tool, from monitoring equipment in a network, to monitoring the network itself to validate which computers are connected to it, its interface is friendly for users, you only need to deploy the agent on the computers you want to monitor, configure the monitors you want to track and ready, when the tool detects any abnormality with the configured monitors you will generate an alert so you can attack it at the moment, It is also impressive the integration it has with other tools such as connectwise automate and connectwise manage Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

What do you like best?

For the moment the monitors are very useful, the programmed commands that allow to perform daily tasks more easily. The audition is very useful and the available reports are also great. The integration with ConnectWise is very good and thanks to this the administration of the computers is done efficiently and optimally. It is a great RMM software. The customization of each element in Labtech is a great benefit, of course after having experimented a lot with the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The learning curve can be tilted for a single IT professional. The Labtech Support service is not the best possible and locating documentation of the software can be complicated. Considerable time is required for the perfect management of the tool, this should be considered in case of implementing it in clients external to your company. It is important to take the training offered by Labtech for this product and try to maintain an effective communication with your staff for a correct configuration of the RMM. With CW Automate you are managing all the computers in the corporate network, with these tools we can generate the necessary scripts for routine tasks in an optimal way. What do you like best?

I like how it's integrated into CW Automate. It's very easy to set up and create different policies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I dont like the small selection of apps that you can patch with it. It's limited to Adobe, Firefox, Chrome, Java, and a couple others. It's not very expensive, but Ninite has a much better selection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It depends on what you need to patch. If you need just the basics, this is a great tool. If you need more than Adobe, Java, chrome ,etc, then other tools may suite your needs better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Connectwise does some things differently when it comes to patching. Once you understand the approval work flow it is pretty easy to start using the patching platform connectwise offers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I dislike how the patching section of connectwise seems to be very resource intensive and can be sluggish at times. There is also a learning curve which makes using the project challenging at first Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

This product is very robust. It does what we need and much more. The control and maintenance levels we have with our client machines is great. What do you like best?

CW Automates agents make knowing your customers extremely easy. We have them installed on over 10000 PCs and havent had many issues. Their dashboard gives you a ton of quick info but the best part is when you actually click on a PC. What do you like best?

Always has up to date info on PCs. Also has mac and linux support. Integration with connectwise control is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Interface is overwhelming. Newer interface has tiles that are imo a failed attempt at a windows 10 style interface. Seems like a piecemeal app that has several developers wanting to do their own thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The connectwise third party patching has increased our productivity tremendously. We no longer have to worry about our client falling behind on typical third party software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes there have been some hiccups with the software. They have been fairly limited but we have had issues where computers will get stuck in a loop trying to install software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The remote tools are the best. I can do anything from remote sessions to editing the registry remotely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Depending on your level of access you have to go through a bunch of menus to get where you want to go. It will not keep you from editing the Registry, you just have to go though a bunch of sub menus to do it. While people with higher access only need to right click Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure to give permission to Agents that will allow them ease of use to get to what they need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
