I was not able to change the tasks of a test after I already sent some invitations for the test, not even for future candidates, I had to create another test from scratch. Codility is an excellent tool that I mainly use to help speed up the recruitment process, as we recruit for a lot of various software engineer positions across various languages and countries.

Sometimes we find that candidates have overestimated their experience or skills and this can become quickly apparent at the start of a potentially two-hour technical interview with multiple engineers.

By including take-home tests or short code live whiteboard interviews in the recruitment process we are able to get a better understanding of the candidates capacity without impacting the engineers' workflow, this enables us to filter people who do not have the relevant skill level for the role effectively.

The only downside I have had so far in my experience with using codility is some slight confusion from our team members on how to log in one day as the process changed.

Codility is easy to use, requires little training, and helps screen out unqualified candidates more easily than proctoring my own programming tests. The pre-made tasks are great, and I love the option to create custom tasks. I can read my candidates' solutions and know if an interview is warranted before investing time into it. I dislike the way how imports are broken in most of the cases where we need to rely on external libraries. Could be nice to include background code (Candidates cannot see the code) in order to make compile this imports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
