CMap Demo - Real-time decision making
Reports should be something you make decisions on, not something you spend hours and hours creating. CMap’s data feeds reports and live, personalised dashboards to give you the info you need to make key decisions swiftly.
CMap Demo - Business intelligence
CMap comes with a suite of insightful out-of-the-box reports, but that’s just the start. With the ability to create custom in-app reports and gain direct access to your raw data (in Excel or external BI tools like Power BI), reporting capabilities go stratospheric.
CMap Demo - The power of in-built CRM
With a separate CRM, data is inconsistent. For example, a “deal value” may be nothing more than a number typed into a field. Whereas CMap’s innovative “Fee Estimator” robustly calculates this value, considering roles, rates and deliverables. Separate CRMs are limited to a pipeline-only view, b...
CMap Demo - Innovative resourcing tools
The problem with most resourcing software isn’t the initial set-up of resourcing data: it’s keeping on top of the changes. CMap’s cutting-edge resourcing tools empower you to make super-quick changes and get instant feedback on how they impact the project outcome. With stunning reports that sp...
CMap Demo - HR you can actually use
Many companies only use a fraction of their HR systems. With CMap, we give you the tools & functionality you actually need... and none of the bloat. Thanks to the power of CMap’s “Pages” functionality, setting up a highly configured HR system is a breeze. Performance reviews? Sure thing. I...

"Simplicity at its Best, A Few Reporting Hiccups"
What do you like best about CMap?

I like the simplicity of use in CMap. The user interface is quite good, allowing me to navigate around the system efficiently. It makes long and unwieldy processes manageable and engages users well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Reporting is an area where it could be improved. It doesn't allow particularly for cross-functional reporting. For example, you cannot pull resourcing data into a report which has got revenue information on. They just don't talk to each other. I've also noted with the API that when you're using it with Power BI, you have to compute some of the resourcing and margin outcomes, it doesn't do it for you. So I think that is a bit of a weakness. "Streamlining Efficiency and Enhancing Delivery with CMap"
What do you like best about CMap?

CMap gives clear financial visibility, linking projects, budgets and revenue in one place. Its resource planning and forecasting tools help teams manage capacity, spot risks early and make commercially informed decisions with greater confidence and transparency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

The expenses app is clunky and not very user-friendly. I also wonder if it would be good to have an app instead of logging in via a browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Intuitive System with Customisable Features and Strong CRM Tools"
What do you like best about CMap?

The system is easy to use and intuitive. The range of features mean you can customise it your organisational needs. I particularly appreciate the CRM features, including the ability to distinguish between leads and live opportunities. And also the ability to check my leave requests against the wider team, to prevent clashes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

My main gripe would be that when you edit an opportunity you aren't prompted to hit save, so if you come out without doing so, your updates are lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps All Projects Organized in One Place"
What do you like best about CMap?

It allows me to Manage more projects at once as everything is in one place, and I have a structure to my day, the activities list brings every project together.

An unexpected benefit is the ability to link e-mails to projects as activities and look through them if something repeats itself regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Sometimes things just "don't work" for instance the tagging of e-mails is currently not working, there does not seem to be any urgency when things are not working as they should. The impact of this is that structured processes cannot be followed, which creates an environment where things could be missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"CMap: User-Friendly All-in-One Platform with Exceptional Support"
What do you like best about CMap?

CMap is very user-friendly and intuitive to use. It’s been a great addition to our company and has integrated easily into our daily work. We used to have separate finance and CRM platforms, but it’s much easier to have everything in one place now. Customer support has been exceptional whenever we’ve needed it—which isn’t often, because the setup and training we received were so thorough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

If I had to choose something, it would be the marketing system. It’s very basic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined People Operations with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about CMap?

I like that CMap makes everything accessible in one place and easy to navigate. The end user experience is greatly enhanced by how easy it is to use and find information. I also appreciate the layout and the ability to customize dashboards and build reports, which is very helpful. The initial setup was very easy, and the team was very helpful with the training calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

There isn't much freedom, if something has never been used before on CMap it seems impossible to get it to do something new. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Project Management with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about CMap?

I like using CMap for project management, as it consolidates everything we need from fee proposals to invoicing and trend analysis. The time saved on project admin is huge, which lets the leadership team quickly see how the organisation is performing. I really appreciate the dashboard functionality, which empowers the team to see project performance and allows department heads to oversee team progress. The AI functionality is helping to speed up processes too, letting us focus more on delivering quality to our clients. Setting up CMap was very easy, and the guidance and training provided were excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

It would be great if the pipeline could have a Kanban dashboard listing each project and where it sits in the pipeline with the ability to drag projects from one stage to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Superb Platform That Transformed Our Operations, Customisation Takes Effort but Is Worth it."
What do you like best about CMap?

Once set up it's very easy to use, they've thought of pretty much everything (for a consulting business), and they're generally responsive to feedback.

It's transformed our project operations: regularly getting close to our utilisation figures, keeping close tabs on resourcing so people are working optimally without overload - and it's made everyone's lives measurably better.

We've (the team has) made a lot of changes to our business, and the improvements are not all down to CMap, but in parallel CMap has been a very important feature because it has helped smooth everything and connect up a series of separate processes, which has yielded tangible efficiencies.

So, if you do choose to implement CMap it really is worth taking a holistic view of your whole operation and adapting that alongside. Don't just bolt it on and expect magic (though it will still be better than what you have got now!). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Take care which onboarding package you choose: explore with them exactly what the different options offer. Ours felt a bit rushed (though the team were excellent - thank you Onai and Julia) and it transpires the bumpy ride was partly because of misunderstanding what we had bought. So I guess they could work a bit harder with their sales comms.

The Fee Estimator template needed a lot of tailoring to fit to our way of doing things and how we cost our work. It's also not really optimised for the tailoring we needed to do, and we've had to use workarounds that makes it a touch less elegant in use. It is nevertheless a fantastic piece of engineering now we have done it, and it makes building our jobs and then resourcing them really granular and accurate. Worth investing the time in building a great fee estimator as we hear other users haven't done this, and perhaps it's one reason they may not get the same benefits we have (this is a guess!).

There are also a billion and one reports, plus opportunities to customise them, which is all great in theory, but in practice they're hard to use without quite a lot of support. It's hard to know where to start. They have generously offered to do this (thanks again, Julia), but I do wonder if there's more that could be done to hand hold users through literally hundreds of report templates.

Realise these negatives seem longer than the positives: but these are nit-picking details really.

Buy with confidence: it's a superb and ever-evolving platform, and a must have/gamechanger for any SME consulting business. Just make sure you take your time to understand what you are buying and how best to tailor it to your needs: talk to the Sales team about this, then gear your onboarding, invest time in your team's input and upskilling, and build your version to reflect your way of doing things. "Game-Changing Predictive Backlog and Resourcing Analytics"
What do you like best about CMap?

Cmap’s predictive backlog and resourcing analytics have been game-changers for us. We can now anticipate pinch points, balance workloads more effectively, and avoid last-minute scramble situations. The visibility into future demand has elevated our planning from reactive to proactive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Mobile experience — It works, but a more polished mobile app with more functionality would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Project Tracking, Smart Resourcing, and Clear Profitability Insights"
What do you like best about CMap?

It is an easy way to track project hours, plan project resource and estimate fees, as well as monitor project profitability Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Reviewing projects, aside staff, to ensure that both are adequately resourced is a little difficult. I have also struggled with the Xero connection, but I still need to work on this element. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
