If you are a UI designer and don't know any coding language and want to make beautiful HTML pages from your Photoshop or any other design, then you have come to the right place. I recommend Adobe Muse. I am a UI/UX designer and make designs inside Photoshop but I don't know anything in HTML or CSS and sometimes clients ask you to make static pages or to build small simple website and then Adobe muse comes really handy.
It's very easy to learn and have all the basic tools you will need to make your website. Also, I really loved the recent responsive features that are added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whole animation options and UI is confusing and not simple enough to use.
Also, please try to add some more design tools. I would say merge Adobe XD and Muse to make the perfect product for the UI/UX Designers and Developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Muse was very easy to use, especially if you are familiar with other Adobe programs like photoshop or indesign. There were also tons of widgets you could get to help you make very professional looking websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mostly what I didn't like about it is that Adobe stopped supporting and updating it. I was forced to switch to a new platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Built for visual people, feels familiar if you use Indesign/Photoshop. Much less web-building knowledge is needed versus using something like Dreamweaver. I did not need to use code at all while using Muse, which enabled me to not be limited by my coding abilities. I really liked how it was simple to switch between desktop/mobile/tablet modes, and carry assets in between each of them. Creating a map of my site was simple and visual, using a wireframe. It was simple enough to get Muse connected to my site's FTP server despite Muse not being super popular at the time. I actually enjoyed making websites and exploring with ideas, versus fearing the hassle of how I would get my designs to work correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Discontinued as of 2018. Huge disappointment because Adobe has not announced a true successor. I will have to use another product family entirely to do the same job, which likely won't be as well integrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked that it was part of the Adobe suite --- so you could play with it and it's integrations. I was familiar with the other Adobe services, but not Muse, so it was interesting ad appealing to learn a new system to add to my qualifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a reason why it is not longer in use --- and that's because it was so difficulty to work on as a platform. When so many other services are open and for free, Muse made it cumbrersome to create and use for web design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how this program really works well with other Adobe software. Coming from Photoshop, Adobe Muse feels right at home and my workflow feels quick and intuitive while designing in Ps and bringing those elements right into Muse. The drag and drop method is an extremely versatile and quite simple which can get you up and running in no time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Designing in Muse is quite simple and I would have to say I really wish there were some better template items. Most of the template items like toolbars, menus, text layout feel very bland and basic. I found Muse hard to complete with PageCloud which is my primary web designer program, that program also allows for drag and drop, and makes it much more easier to publish my website than Muse. Adobe Muse was simple to use, without knowing HTML code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compared to Dreamweaver, it had fewer features, but is easier to use thanks to the interface that guides the user step by step to the online publication of the site. Also, it was discontinued after the CC 2018 release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Adobe Muse for more than 100 static customer websites. Muse is brilliant and easy to build with for any designer using Adobe CC software such as In Design and Photo Shop. Layout can be adjusted to almost any web site you can imagining. Widgets from several Muse entrepreneurs made user experience even more polished. Muse could have been great, but unfortunately it has been abandoned by Adobe, which of course makes it obsolete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That it's obsolete and therefor needs to be converted to another web builder platform before Muse no longer conforms to modern updated browsers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use and good looks, new responsive tools are an exciting for designers. These features bring new possibilities and approaches to designing websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of customization options, No scroll effects, Many widgets are not yet responsive and won’t scale Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adobe Muse is the most easy to for any designer to manipulate even without any code writing experience. The tool provides the user with many features foe easy creating of professional web pages and even HTML creation. Excellent product for web pages editing and they also provide straight forward tutorials for their new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing i can say, i found this tool very effective and the easiest tool to start manipulating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the widgets because they are useful. I am also happy it was in the Creative Cloud, so I can use it almost anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, the program will free up; however it could be due to my processing speed. I am also somewhat concerned that Adobe will be removing customer service of Muse soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is certainly a very convenient software, because it allows everyone to be able to create web pages, or entire websites, without being a developer, and therefore without writing html, css, javascript or php code. Obviously this will involve limitations, but it remains an excellent alternative to create captivating pages or web presentations with an attractive design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software has several limitations: first of all it is difficult to create websites with a management system, for example for inserting new news or new contents. The responsive layout mode has been integrated but is not easy to use and is a bit cumbersome. Inside it has interesting widgets but they are still few compared to the features that are seen today on the websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Developed in the Adobe AIR environment, Muse allows you to work with website tools in a design-oriented manner. Adobe Muse, which started web site design with an easy and fast editable site map, provides many different design alternatives. Muse has not forgotten the interactive tools that have become a must for today. Google Maps, social media buttons, feeds, slideshows can be easily integrated into websites. I think Muse limits the workability and quality of your website. So Muse is not for creating compatible web pages. Also, I think all people can use programs like a muse in the workflow, but it has to use thrifty. On another hand, Adobe Muse is one of my favorites programs. Honestly, there is nothing I like about it. Back when it was released, the program kind of made sense because CMSs like Wix and Squarespace weren't as intuitive and user friendly. But now it's outdated and too difficult to bother with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are too many errors when developing a site. They have overly complicated menus to set up your site and when the site is complete there are spacing than layout errors. With al the effort you have to put into learning the program, you might as well learn Wordpress, or pay for a CMS with a page builder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think this program was Amazing! really like the simple interface, it is pretty much like designing in Photoshop/Illustrator but for the web. really simple and clean. like you could do multiple stuff and transitions to a website...it is good if you don't know anything about html/css programing. the good part about it is that you can import files from Illustrator and Photoshop if you double click it you can go straight to the program to do a quick edit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Doesn't support your own html/css editing. Pretty much what you design in the program if what you get in the program and it is really hard to export everything and ad it to a server since it uses like a special coding on the program to do some of the transitions. So the features might look great in the program but have a bad behavior once you upload them in a server. Overall program has a lot of potential but too bad that much of the users don't really used so Adobe decided to discontinue it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Muse is a perfect tool for web design, without having to use code for programming it, it is ideal for graphic designers since you can design a website from the design. It has the advantage of having free templates to use as a model at the time of designing.
It allows to have all the web work organized and to distribute the elements as one wishes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the drawbacks of this tool is that you can not develop databases, the other problem is that it is the program that assembles the code and this can be an inconvenience because the generated code can be damaged and This can be a problem for a developer when it comes to wanting to fix the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Introducing symbols that can be reused throughout the design, and the ability to easily maintain synchronized styles across all pages and artboards make your appetite rouse. The fact that your designs can be seen live on your phone allows you to make perfect works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Weak adhesion properties extend your business. You cannot use parallax shift at the same time as the responsive design. All text must be paragraph style, unlike illustrator. For example, if you are using mouse opacity, it creates another image of the original in transparent mode. Moving objects slows when you zoom in, and they don't stick together as they should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked the ease of use. It was user friendly for our website. I could do access and edit all of our website versions from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user support and updates ended so we had to discontinue using it for our website editing and move to a new platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you're looking for a simple web design solution then Adobe Muse is definitely an option. The drag and drop editor, built in plugins and simple connectivity makes creating website fun. You can get a website up and running in no time and it actually will look good. There are already a number of Muse templates out there, which all show off the potential of this program. If you want to get creating again, instead of get headaches as to why something has moved, then Muse is a great application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If I had to mention anything negative about Adobe Muse it would have to be that sometimes it is 'too' simple. It becomes a lot more work if you want to stray away from the templates and built in plug ins. Though it can achieve complex wesbites with some work, I don't think this is it's primary strength and would stick to simple web design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
