The drag-and-drop editor is intuitive, and the template selection gave me a strong starting point. For a small business owner, it’s helpful that everything from hosting to SSL to mobile responsiveness is included in one package. I also liked the ability to use CMS collections for service area pages, since it promised scalability without needing to duplicate dozens of static pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Wix? Unfortunately, Wix has serious problems with dynamic CMS pages and SEO indexing. For over a month, my business’s dynamic service pages have failed to index in Google, making me essentially invisible in search. Support confirmed this was a platform bug but could not provide a resolution timeline. I was first told it would be fixed by a certain date, which was missed, and later told there is no ETA at all. There is no compensation for lost business, no real escalation path, and contradictory information (e.g., being promised a supervisor call only to be told later that supervisors don’t take calls). For a platform marketed to small businesses, the lack of reliability, transparency, and accountability has been extremely damaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Wix solving and how is that benefiting you? Wix is designed to solve the problem of making website creation accessible for people without technical backgrounds. For a small business like mine, it removes the need to learn coding or manage servers. It bundles hosting, design tools, and SEO settings into one platform, which in theory should save time and let me focus on running my business. The editor makes it simple to build pages, adjust layouts, and launch new content quickly, and the CMS collections feature is supposed to make it easier to scale content across multiple service areas without duplicating work. The intended benefit is clear: a professional-looking website, fully hosted and maintained, without needing to hire a developer. Unfortunately, because of ongoing technical issues with Wix’s CMS dynamic pages not indexing in Google, the solution isn’t delivering on its core promise for me. While Wix solved the design and ease-of-use problem, the SEO/indexing problem has undone those benefits by making my site harder for customers to actually find.
