## LiteManager Reviews
  ### 1. Much more powerful and versatile than its competition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo M. | Administrador TI, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about LiteManager?**

LiteManager is a software that at first glance might be off-putting, but the truth is it has dozens of very interesting options, especially if you are a system administrator.

For example, one of the features I like the most and use frequently lately is the RDP, which allows you to open a remote desktop through the software and use these options, all without needing to open ports or anything like that.

Then you have other options like the device manager or the task manager, which are really useful, the terminal, the ability to launch a command to be executed remotely, or even edit the Windows registry.

Regarding help desk support, you have chat, the possibility to create a custom installer, the possibility of not even needing to install it on the client...

With these possibilities and this price, I don't know why it is not more widely used by administrators.

**What do you dislike about LiteManager?**

The truth is that I love the software no matter how I look at it, and there's only one detail I don't like much, which is its appearance. But imagine how the software must be for the only thing to criticize after years of use to be that, its appearance.

It's true that occasionally it gives some problems, but don't other programs of the same kind also have issues? In general, everything is excellent, except for its appearance.

**What problems is LiteManager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly, it helps me with unattended assistance for my clients. By working as a remote systems administrator, which would be impossible for me to reach physically (sometimes they are even on another continent), I can easily make the connections and thus provide support to them.

**What do you dislike about LiteManager?**

While LiteManager has many strengths, some users find that it can have limitations in terms of advanced features compared to more robust remote desktop solutions. For example, its reporting and monitoring tools might not be as comprehensive as those in competitors. Additionally, some users have reported occasional connectivity issues or lag

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abraham S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2021

**What do you like best about LiteManager?**

The best part is that lite manager let you configure a MSI file, that you can then add to a GPO to intall in your domain with the right settings. It has multiple ways to access the remote computer from remote control gui to remote commands.
The other best part is the noip server, which allow you to gather all your remote system in one place where you can then connect with the viewer, this is good for mobil user and when working from home now days is a most.
Finaly the best part is that it all run in your system, so no need to use vendor infrastructure and with a inexpesive permament lincense it is the best solution.

**What do you dislike about LiteManager?**

Some of the configuration can be overwelming at first, and you need to go thru different try and error in order to get it to work. There could be a better documentation, that helps on automate the installation and the address listing of all your computer with the software installed using the NonId listing, as it become converson try diffirent options until it works.

**Recommendations to others considering LiteManager:**

I will recomend giving a try with LiteManager it has tons of features, it perform preaty good, just need work on the learning curve, it has support documentation very decent, however it will not give you all you need, some you have to try different options until it works.

**What problems is LiteManager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The may problem is been able to remotely help user with issues that present to them on a day to day bases. Been able to have the software installed by policy and the viewier with the noip server just picking all those system, it create the a streamline expericence. This is the great benefits once you get it to work.

**Reviewed by:** Matjaž M. | Information Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2020

**What do you like best about LiteManager?**

+ android app: you can control desktop from mobile
+ wokrks in Linux (Wine)
+ you dont need to know target IP adress (!)
+ file transfer: Bi-directional copy/move
+ demonstration: screen sharing with recording!
+ security: 2048-bit RSA signature key and 256-bit AES session key!

**What do you dislike about LiteManager?**

- sometimes no sound on ubuntu
- stop working if you try to rename filename of exe file
- interface and remote management are sometimes a bit slow
- complexity for unskilled user to configure application

**What problems is LiteManager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ideal for quick and easy connections to remote users who are too far from IT and computers. Requires no installation, no registration and no admin rights. ### 10. Litemanager one of the best remote desktop tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | Software developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2019

**What do you like best about LiteManager?**

High speed screen updates, simple enough in use once you know how it works. Very fast screen updates and using noip you can login on your remote desktop WITHOUT using an ip number. Instead it can use a noip connection. Noip can be used best if the ip numbers change or if the firewall blocks too much. With a static ip it is very simple to connect directly with the remote desktop using the lm viewer.

**What do you dislike about LiteManager?**

The setup can be confusing if you use the noip option. With a too tight firewall the noip option will be the only way to get on your machine.
The solution is to install the LM Viewer, the NOIP server and LiteManager Server.
There are two versions of the LiteManager server, this can be confusing. Both will work tho and they are almost the same.

**Recommendations to others considering LiteManager:**

Fast and reliable remote desktop alternative that can bypass firewalls

Once setup it runs like a charm. Fast screen updates, setup is easy enough, bulletin board support!!. It gets updated, and is cheap for companies and free for individual users in comparison to many others. It does also have an android app that works! Connecting to another computer via an id instead of dns/ip address is also possible. It also has a portable version. Support listens and answers in the forum if you have a problem.
Extra password options are available.

If your machine is firewalled it can be confusing for non tech people. Lightly confusing due to two almost similar ROMServer applications, but in the end both work fine.

Remote desktop access that circumvents the firewalls and has very high speed.

Fast screen updates, at the speed of a normal (windows) rdp connection.
It also works as android client to connect to your remote server!.

**What problems is LiteManager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to compare remote desktop tools that can bypass firewalls and still are fast and cheap or free.

  ### 19. Feature Rich Teamviewer Replacement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory P. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2016

**What do you like best about LiteManager?**

The freemium model is very flexible, allowing 30 free licenses and is affordable beyond that. It's certainly worth checking out. Litemanager is very feature rich, providing not only remote desktop access but also task manager, command line, registry and more. It has silent install and uninstall for easy distribution to client machines.

**What do you dislike about LiteManager?**

LM requires a little more setup for unattended, ID based access than teamviewer or logmein. In previous versions remote control was a little slow in my experience, but with the latest version it's reasonable, if you turn off the background picture. Also connecting to a machine seems the slowest part and there was very little indication that something is happening. In the past there was none, but now it has a text status indicator. The software configuration panels aren't pretty, but they are functional.

**Recommendations to others considering LiteManager:**

It's free to try out on many computers and it is worth doing so. The connect by ID feature that allows unattended access without knowing IP addresses are what sets it apart from tools like VNC or RDP.

**What problems is LiteManager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unattended, ID based remote control of client computers.
