I use Remote PC to connect to my desktop from my laptop. It works whether I am in a different country or just a different room in my house. I have used similar programs for years - Remote PC is fast and keeps the connection until you log out.

It allows you to access a computer remotely.  Similar to VPN.  So you can access a work or home computer as an example from a laptop at the beach or an iPhone anywhere in the world. Enjoy.

There are a few different ways to utilize the software.  I will give you the way that I do.  I have a number of "server" type systems at home, a handful of computers at work that I service, and a number of family members who need assistance quite often.  In most cases, I have unattended access set up so I can access the systems without someone accepting on the other end.  For most of my family members, I just have the quick run version so it's not always running.  They just give me the code to connect.  I've used a handful of other paid and free programs, but for the cost and what's included, it wins hands down for me.

It allows a person to log on to any number of remote computers which have been set up to allow such logins.  The price of the services varies based on the number of computers you wish to access.
