It is simple to use and straightforward for all team members involved, which helps us a lot. The automatic identification of new strings in the code is a big plus, because it reduces manual work and lowers the chance of missing translations. Crowdin also integrates well with our development workflow, especially by connecting the translation process directly with our code and source files. This makes collaboration between developers, product owners, and translators much smoother. From a performance perspective, the platform is reliable and efficient. It handles updates quickly, and the overall process feels stable even when managing multiple strings and translation updates. Without this automation, we would have to manually prepare and send files to external translators, track changes, and import translations back into the project. That would be much more time-consuming and error-prone. I work directly in the editor to translate and review interface strings, check existing translations, communicate with other team members and follow the progress of the localization. I really like having so much in one place. Progress is easy to follow, communication with teammates happens right inside the project, and I find the right-hand panel especially useful for comparing translations in other languages. I’m also a big fan of the reporting tools. Being able to track the time spent on a project and turn it into a concrete cost based on an hourly rate is genuinely useful. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** There are two things I’d really love to see. For very large projects, I’d like an option to display many more strings — ideally a whole file — in one continuous list. Going through page after page gets repetitive when you’re working with thousands of strings, and being able to select or copy a large block at once would be very useful. The feature I miss most is a true review mode for translations. I’d like to make a second pass through every string and simply mark it as “reviewed”, whether I changed it or not, with its own progress indicator. Approval is useful, but it isn’t quite the same thing. If I review 50 strings and only 35 need changes, I still want a clear way to know that all 50 have actually been checked. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Crowdin makes a very large localization project much easier to manage. With thousands of strings to work through, having everything organized in one place makes a real difference. I can easily see how the project is progressing, work with other team members, and keep translation, communication, reporting and AI tools together. You can easily delete an old translation to keep the new one, making it easy to maintain consistency. I also love the ability to search for a specific term across all components. It’s a huge help in ensuring translation consistency and making targeted corrections. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** Everything is beautifully designed. Actually, I didn't like the platform at first. I'd worked on platforms like Phrase, Matecat, etc., and I was kind of used to how they were set up. But I loved Crowdin once I started to understand how useful it was. It's a wonderful app. I highly recommend it. **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem Crowdin solves is consistency. This app lets you go back years to standardize your work. In fact, the languages we use are called living languages because they change and evolve significantly. Its user-friendly interface, mobile support, and tons of additional modules/apps that increase the productivity and capabilities of the system are remarkable. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** The current aim of the AI implementation leads to a lack of attention to bugs and issues. I don't think it's a coincidence that the platform started receiving freezes and drops in productivity with entering the AI-era. Also, seems that many new features are added without proper testing on live clients, and the purpose of changes is not always clear or has a win. Currently CrowdIn needs to focus on extending core (not through AI or additional apps) functionality, strengthening it, and then move to other features. The biggest highlight is their support team — easily the best I’ve experienced. They are fast, responsive, and genuinely proactive. In one of our recent interactions, they even implemented a custom QA check based on our needs, which speaks volumes about their flexibility and commitment. From an operational standpoint, the platform is extremely stable — I’ve experienced virtually no downtime, which is critical for continuous localization workflows and weekly release cycles. It's helpful to see the localizations in many other languages even though I don't speak them. It's helpful for managing multiple localizations of a project. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** Getting started with Crowdin seemed much more difficult than it needed to be. There wasn't any help in the invitation email for navigating the nine or so different login options. Then once logged in and making changes to the strings or adding new ones it wasn't obvious how to save them. With relevant contextual information of the In-context editor, I need not translated blind. Managers attach screenshots to their strings, and it gives me an excellent starting ground to translate, keeping in mind if it's a header, a button, or a hidden tag. New AI assistant and support for Gemini or OpenAI, I get the required boost to translate faster while maintaining high quality. Moreover, desktop-friendly integration or a web interface has also made it easier to handle large-scale projects with ease. **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** It can be improved by providing a dedicated mobile app for translators for quick proofreading or responding on the go. The interface remains overwhelming for new users, which may be simplified a bit. I believe this is a very useful feature since it can clear up potential semantic misunderstandings, huge props for that! **What do you dislike about Crowdin?** I have recently tried finding out when I joined the platform and particular projects. I couldn't find such information, and the oldest result I got for my contributions in the project didn't mention me explicitly joining at the time (which I believe should be visible in user activity). I think it would be useful if users could quickly see when they joined certain projects, perhaps it could be a little note located under the project name (and available only to the user and not anyone else) **What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an individual who isn't officially involved with a company, I believe Crowdin is a great way to let ordinary people such as myself contribute to big translation projects and provide a service that is satisfying for both parties. ### 15.
