"Great platform for software localization and translation"
What do you like best about Crowdin?

Crowdin is a fantastic platform for crowd-sourced software translation and localization. It lets us easily integrate our progects, upload new strings to translate and then use them in the next build. I love that Crowdin has built-in machine translation, which helps translators in localization. And the free pricing plan is quite generous. The recently refreshed user interface is very pleasant and easy to use. It now also allows for integration of AI-based tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crowdin?

There's one thing I don't like about Crowdin, and it's pricing of private projects. If you need more than 1 private project, you have to upgrade to the Pro (2 projects) or Team (unlimited projects) plan ($50 and $150). I, for example, don't need more hosted words/or more integrations, so paying $150 per month seems not worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Core Functionality with Some Integration Hurdles"
What do you like best about Crowdin?

I use Crowdin for localization with my product teams to ensure our content can be scaled to all regions and locales we support. Crowdin solves the localization problem for us, and we've used it for years. The biggest benefit is the familiarity and that it's baked into our platform. We enjoy how Crowdin can help us properly localize into all of the world languages we support. I appreciate the AI translations which we are leveraging more and more. The app toolkit and the ability to add customizations like screenshots provide some flexibility, which is also good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crowdin?

In general, Crowdin feels quite technical as a tool. The user interface and overall user experience could probably be simplified a bit. Sometimes I get sent a link from a translator, and I have to click many times in order just to view what they're trying to show me. So I have to say my role, my permissions, what language I wanna translate, and all of this is just for viewing privilege. This is quite irritating. I also think there are some strong limitations in terms of Figma integration and functionality. We really need Figma to play nicely with Crowdin for developers and translators to have the full context. Right now, that is missing. All strings are in complete isolation. Unless I manually upload a photo or screenshot of a flow, there's absolutely no context. This creates extra work for me when I need to manually upload these images or add explanations.
