So many problems! It's solving the biggest issue: communication. Announcements are right at the top, if you set up your class that way. You can schedule your classes to publish which alleviates the time you have t do that. You can have a collaborative calendar and a to do list so it reminds you of assignments coming up which aleviates the excuse of "I didn't know when it was due." I don´t like that I don´t have worksheets in all my classes like in secondary, it´s only available in DP section. Also, I´m still waiting that in DP Library they add Spanish A language and literature with practice questions and samples of paper 1 and paper 2 mock papers. One of the frustrations I have had supporting Edsby as a school division employee is the length of time between reporting a bug and a resolution being pushed into our production environment. I have been able to run all registrations for our wellbeing and inclusion focused events through Kallidus which has helped me to process RSVPs and dietary requirements. There is a better record of attendance and delegates can review the events they have attended. Running these events through Kallidus has also given them a Learning & Development status which is helping with uptake as people see them as more formal opportunities to grow and improve. It can take some time to become knowledgeable enough with all of the different tools Brightspace offers in order to make informed decisions about what might work best in certain places and for certain tasks. The range of possible roles and permissions across the platform can be overwhelming - it's best to focus on core established roles and make modifications and tweaks according to you own requirements later. One challenge I’ve experienced with Google Classroom is that “shared” documents are not always sent to students through email notifications. This can create confusion because the system’s communication features are not always consistent. As a result, some students miss assignments or do not realize materials have been posted, which affects their ability to stay on track. While the platform integrates well with Google Docs, clearer guidance about notifications would help reduce these issues. Before using Google Classroom, we struggled with students losing directions or missing due dates, and a lot of time spent re-explaining or re-sharing materials. There isn't enough parity between the Employee Learning Cloud and the Customer Learning Cloud. Some features like the reporting could be greatly improved. The bulk editing of native WorkRamp content also needs some work. The pre-built reports don't provide enough detail and don't allow customization with the data we care about, and it's unclear how the data is generated. The new report builder, although better, is still in beta, and features like sharing reports and dashboards still need work. For bulk editing of course content, the only feature available is a find and replace tool. There isn't an easy way to update all of the design elements within a course nor to standardize questions across courses. I think that, as with many things, it can be very frustrating for teachers to see some of the tiered components cost extra. While it's completely understandable that the company needs to make money to continue to improve, as educators, it's generally outside the teacher's control for what funds are spent and where based on school/district budgets, which then can either lead them to personally paying fees for subscriptions, or in some cases, being restricted from using them where they are not allowed to pay for items personally (as in my previous district).
