We had to move to a virtual conference for the first time. Actually, it started out as hybrid and as we got closer realized that it would need to be completely virtual due to the pandemic. What we realized is that having a virtual aspect is incredible to reach those unable to travel due to financial restrictions, time constraints or other factor; it also allows for attendees to experience all of the conference as they are able to go back and watch recorded sessions that were occuring at the same time as the one they attended live. Bizzabo allows you to build your own website on their platform which is helpful, however they only provide a handful of templates to choose from. This is the same for the emails you can send out through their platform. It would be really nice to have the ability to customize the website and email templates more without having to write a customer html. I also didn't like that you have to pay more for certain integrations. For example, we use Hubspot and in order to have had Bizzabo and Hubspot integrated we needed to pay more money. When Startup Grind grew larger than 150 In Real Life (IRL) chapters around the world, we needed a system that could take us securely into the future. Now with 600+ chapters around the world hosting 2000+ events a year, we are still ablet o grow even more confidently.

The permissions allow that chapter leaders (chapter directors) have full access to the information they need, but not have access to sensitive user information, nor have access to other communities, or chapters. At an admin level, we are able to see the overview picture with the powerful analytics as well as easily onboard and offboard our chapter leaders.

As an event organizer 2020 threw everyone a curve ball. The simple approach was to just cancel the 2020 events and say 'see you in 2021'. We couldn't do that while helping and serving our community. Enterprise cloud technology is fast innovation and enterprise customers are demanding solutions - they can't wait 12 months. We needs a flexible tool and Hopin is that platform. We evaluated 17 platforms and most just didn't solve the need to bring our community together. We have been growing our events in 2020 on Hopin and transforming a local program to become global. Hoping makes it very easy to participate as an attendee, the layout is clean and minimalist with no silly graphics or attempt to "look" live a convention center. Participation on mobile, on a tablet or a desktop device is simple. Every time I showcase the Hopin platform to one of our sponsors they "get it" instantly and appreciate a quality solution. This is not necessarily a drawback but is something worth considering -- Because Swoogo is always adding features and improving their old ones, my team does occasionally have to relearn how to do something or change our process from one event to the next. Our favorite time-saving move is to clone an old event and update for the next one, but the constant release/update of features does mean we have to check to be sure everything is working as expected. Swoogo was already a great partner when doing in-person events in years past, and they were in a good place pre-COVID. Their response to the sudden and overwhelming need for virtual events was swift and has been continually improved all year. At times, there can be limited customization of various options (like reporting) and therefore one must learn how to do things the PheedLoop way to make it work for your own context. One was defaulting the Virtual Event page to a Personal Schedule view vs. the global schedule. We had to instruct people on how to filter that for themselves. PheedLoop is an excellent platform and I would not hesitate to use it again. When looking at other virtual event services prior to our event a few mentioned that even they use PheedLoop (they would just bill us to do all the set-up) so that made us confident that we were in the right place! We were hesitating with deciding between in-person and virtual and probably left that decision too long so we had a short time to get set-up. In-person events have been integral to our organization but with Covid-19 restrictions we have needed to pivot as the desire to still meet to learn and build community is still there. PheedLoop provides a great service and method for maintaining this. While ZOOM does offer a lot of benefits it is limited in simulating an in-person event and we have appreciated PheedLoop's platform for increasing networking and collaboration while also helping to deliver content in a compelling way. - the ability to download analytics directly (instead of via email)

- being able to send chat messages (eg share a link) with people you are in a call with, at a table.

- Have an option in your pricing plan that is not event based. In this way we could create a more permanent solution to showcasing businesses. With less functionality would be ok. e.g. have a exhibition of businesses that we have up all year, and can direct people to as needed, without the need for video calls etc.

To enable networking and introductions to the small businesses that we champion, particularly with the Covid19 situation making physical events impossible. Also we have been able to collaborate with partners outside of our geographic area, and can now consider running events with a national or international focus. At the time of our conference, the integration with Eventbrite was not working due to a problem with its API being changed. As a result, we were unable to automatically import all of our registered attendees and instead we had to make use of the bulk CSV import feature in the Attendify admin center. This was not easy to use and we had to split up our large number of registrations into multiple batches to get them all imported successfully. It was a little bit of extra unplanned effort but we were able to get it done with the help of Attendify's great support team via the website's chat feature. I highly recommend Swell Fundraising to anyone who may be interested in using the platform. Their customer service is fantastic, the platform is very easy to use, and it's reasonably priced. Even when we had a minor technical issue with the platform, the team at Swell was quick to resolve it. We will likely continue to use them well into the future for other events, especially hybrid events, as we are able to incorporate them into whatever efforts we are doing. We have been able to easily transition to virtual events with Swell Fundraising and also involve many people outside our immediate community in our fundraising efforts. Giving through the platform is very easy and straight forward. We've been able to increase the number of people involved in our campaigns very easily with minimal effort thanks to the platform.
