**What do you like best about Expo Pass?**

I love ExpoPass!! I’ve used a few different platforms over the years (and sat through many, many demos), and I haven’t seen anything that compares. You can instantly print attendee badges (or have attendees print them themselves, though we’re very white glove with our process), make changes on the spot, and manage everything right from the iPad or your computer—and those updates are instant. I’ve had so many attendees comment on how impressed they are with the check-in process, and I’ve recommended ExpoPass to countless other event leads who come to our events. ExpoPass is a great product, backed by great people!

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

There’s honestly nothing I don’t love about ExpoPass! The only thing I’ve noticed recently (and it’s probably user error on my end. I just need to ask about it) is that the check-in screen seems a bit smaller than it used to be, which makes it a little harder to review the badge before printing. That said, it’s still nothing I’d really complain about.

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ExpoPass is reliable and they now do most, if not all, of their business in-house. We've had issues in the past with other companies with customs and equipment getting stuck, but since ExpoPass is in the US and does all of their own printing, this is never an issue!

Using Expo Pass was easy to learn. Having a one-on-one meeting before using the iPads was so helpful. Seeing the cases as it was daunting, but after meeting with our contact, it turned out to be a breeze. No issues with the App when I had to use it on my phone. It was smooth and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

One con I can mention is the need to make a quick fix or add a new entry to the online database. If there were an online portal that could easily sync the two, it would be a huge time- and stress-saver.

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Expo Pass to assist with our conferences over the span of 5 years. Each time we use it, it gets easier to understand, smoother to import our roster and create our Badges, and more integration.

Expo Pass is a great option for those with a smaller event. We are able to pick and choose which solutions we want to utilize to fit our needs and budget. Expo Pass is very user friendly and has improved our check-in process in the best ways.

I would love to see a more robust app that we can tailor specifically to our event. Including gamification and other options unique to our conference. A fully integrated app would improve the user experience overall.

Check-in times are reduced greatly. We avoid the bottlenecks we used to experience. Attendees can spot errors before the badge is printed, reducing the times a badge is reprinted.

**What do you like best about Expo Pass?**

ExpoPass has been just the right addition to level up our conferences. Participants are always impressed at how easy it is to check in, review their info, and print their badge on site. It is also extremely helpful on the back end for set up. ExpoPass team members help you with everything from setting up the badge design, importing attendee lists, and shipping the equipment (with return labels) directly to your conference location. I would definitely recommend using ExpoPass.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

ExpoPass is a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny!

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ExpoPass allows us to print badges on site for events. This prevents us from printing excess before the event, and also allows to to reprint if anyone looses or damages their badge. It also allows to see who has (not) checked in yet and what percentages of check ins we are at.

Expo Pass completely transformed our registration process. What we liked most was how easy and efficient everything became. Onboarding was smooth, with same-day support and clear, guided steps. The live chat and resources made the setup stress-free. The equipment worked flawlessly, and attendees loved the quick, simple check-in compared to previous years. Live reporting was another standout feature, giving us real-time insights to forecast staffing needs accurately. Overall, Expo Pass delivered reliability, excellent support, and a modern experience that elevated both our operations and attendee satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

Overall, our experience was excellent, but one small improvement would be adding extra iPad power cords to the on-site equipment shipment. During one event, a staff member accidentally tripped and broke the connector on a cord, leaving us short. While the equipment worked flawlessly otherwise, having a backup cord included would provide peace of mind and prevent any disruption. This is a minor suggestion compared to the overall reliability and ease of use Expo Pass offers, but it would make an already great service even better.

Improved Process & Efficiency: The previous badge printing and check-in process was outdated, time consuming and cumbursome.  Expo Pass completely transformed our process, making it efficient, allowing us to better allocate staff resources.
Attendee Experience: Participants raved about how easy and quick the badge check-in process was compared to previous years.
Live Reporting: This feature allowed us to forecast staffing needs accurately, adding a level of operational insight we didn’t have before.

What we like most about Expo Pass was how self-sufficient the badge printing process is. Once everything is set up—the iPads, printers, and routers—it just runs. Attendees can walk up, check in, print their badge, and keep moving without needing staff intervention. It’s an incredibly efficient flow that not only improves the attendee experience but also frees up our team to focus on higher-value tasks instead of managing lines or troubleshooting check-in.

Honestly, there’s really nothing we don’t like about Expo Pass. It’s been a reliable, efficient solution for us, especially on the badge printing side, and it consistently delivers a smooth experience for both attendees and staff.

Expo Pass eliminates the need for us to pre-print paper name badges, which saves a significant amount of time, money, shipping logistics, and manual effort. It also removes the stress of having to create badges onsite for late or on-site registrants. On top of that, it greatly reduces the amount of staff needed at check-in since the system is so self-sufficient.

It benefits our attendees just as much—rather than waiting in line to be checked in by staff, they can walk up, enter their name, and instantly print their badge. It’s a much faster, smoother experience for everyone involved.

**What do you like best about Expo Pass?**

I've loved using Expo Pass over the previous 3+ years to help us track attendance at our large-scale annual reunion events, print on-demand name badges, and then to scan in registrants at paid and free events via QR code. Their team is easy to work with and ships out all of the equipment we need to manage 12+ events that are happening concurrently and in different locations. We're able to customize our badge design to follow brand standards and our attendees LOVE how easy it is to check in for paid events once they have a printed nametag.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

The element I'm most looking forward to in future years is our team's ability to integrate Expo Pass check-ins to our Salesforce CRM. We only just transitioned to Salesforce 10 months ago, so we're still in our "minimum viable product" state. Further integrations are still 1–2 years away for us. But I can't wait for the day that checking in an attendee on event (with Expo Pass) means their CRM record is also automatically updated!

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a solution for printing on-demand name badges for 2,000+ attendees to our annual reunion events. Expo Pass meets that basic but critical need for us. But they also offer so many other benefits - like session tracking, attendee mobile app, and easy-to-set-up kiosks for all of our various events.

We were able to easily add and remove attendees, and the platform was very user‑friendly. Check‑in and on‑site registration were quick and seamless, and customer service was consistently timely. Our badges required very specific information for each attendee, so instead of self‑check‑in, our staff verified IDs and checked guests in manually to ensure accuracy before printing. This approach worked extremely well and kept the process efficient.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

Customer service was always available when we needed support, but at times I felt there could have been more hands‑on guidance. For example, hopping on a quick call to walk us through the process step‑by‑step would have been more helpful than written instructions, which still felt a bit confusing.

It was very easy to get down. The steps are straight forward, and users are imported quickly into the system. I had a few questions with my imports and Support was able to help guide me to the correct steps. Their team was also on-top of our event. Week prior they reviewed our work and added a few suggestions to improve out user identification. Once completed the exports were very easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

When adding a new role/field to the system a new import would have to be completed again to assign to users, cannot add to existing users, was a hassle only if you have sub-event for your main conference. However, the importing and role assigning was easy to manage, so not too much of any issue for our team. And help was provided when needed.

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expo Support team looked into user inquiries for roles when we first imported them. They supported our team in suggestion ways to best identify users.

The ease of setup and takedown for our check in table at our conference.  Plus how easy and pleasant it is to work with all the Expo Pass staff.  They make the process SO EASY from start to finish!

Expo Pass allows our staff to spend their time doing other things at our conferences rather than standing behind the check in desk, passing out name tags.  All of our staff used to be consumed at the registration desk.  Now, we only have 1 person behind the check in desk, making sure that everything runs smoothly.

AND when we used to print name tags, we would have to manually make late attendee name tags.  With Expo Pass, we just upload them to the attendee list and BOOM there they are!  What used to take so much time and stress, now takes SECONDS and NO stress at all!  It's the best!

Everyone at ExpoPass has been incredibly helpful throughout the initial setup, the check-in process, and badge printing during the event. Returning their equipment afterward was also extremely easy. I really appreciate being able to arrive, get everything organized without any stress, and then simply ship everything back instead of having to store it myself.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

Honestly, just a couple of back end tracking options like date of birth and the ability to have admins as attendees are my only very minor gripes. Overall I love this product and team.

Before Expo Pass, we tracked everything internally on sheets, including producing our own QR codes for badges. Having to do everything manually was a giant strain on time and resources and Expo Pass being able to handle all of that is giant weight off the team.

We used Expo Pass for our 3686 conference, and I was especially impressed with how smooth it made our batch printing and check-in process. What is often a stressful, time-consuming task became quick, efficient, and reliable. The system handled large volumes with ease, and our attendees experienced a seamless, professional check-in from the very start. Expo Pass truly elevated the first impression of our event.

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I disliked about using Expo Pass. The system worked exactly as promised, and every feature—from check-in to batch printing—ran so smoothly that it removed the usual stress points. It’s rare to say this about event tech, but in this case, I truly have no complaints.

The setup directions and process are easy. The interface for the attendees is easy and professional looking. It is easy for attendees to change their information if needed. The badges look great and very professional.

The cost that comes with the badge printing service that is not paid to Expo Pass. Unfortunately, the venue can charge an exorbitant fees for a dedicated hardline and power drops for the equipment, and you might not take that into account when signing up for this service.

I was impressed by how straightforward the setup process was, and after that, everything ran smoothly for our attendees. The entire experience felt seamless from start to finish. I also enjoyed that you get to meet one of their Event Operations Team and they help you go through the entire set up process the day before to make sure everything is working great.

I honestly didn't have any real negatives to mention. While it is on the expensive side, I believe the value I received makes it a worthwhile investment.

From registration to badge printing, everything runs smoothly and looks professional. The platform is easy to set up, and features like session scheduling, sponsor material uploads, and attendee messaging save our team hours of work.

The lead retrieval and badge printing setup can be a bit time-consuming and occasionally confusing. It takes extra effort to ensure everything is configured correctly, though the ExpoPass support team is always responsive and helpful when needed. Additionally, it would be more convenient if registered attendees could also be assigned as event users with permissions to scan session attendees or make adjustments during registration.

This made our badging process ridiculously easy for us and our attendees. This really does work as simply as they claim it does. Everything arrived at our meeting venue and the equipment was labeled and color coded for easy setup. The actual badge printing process was very quick and additions/edits were easy to make as needed.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

The credit card readers had to be reconnected a few times over the course of our conference. An option to plug them into the iPads directly instead using bluetooth would have been great.

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to preprint and sort all of our attendee badges. We'd have to manually print/reprint badges as needed for on-site registrations or to make edits. Expo Pass made all of these issues go completely go away. Attendees were able to quickly and easily get their own badges and make any edits on-demand. What is usually a hectic first morning at our conference turned into the easiest.

**What do you like best about Expo Pass?**

ExpoPass was able to create an event that was remarkable for our clients. Yes, we had some issues with Android and getting vendors loaded, but in the end the experience and data was extremely valuable to both ourself as an organization and our clients. 

My one piece of advice is: Take their recommendation on how many printers and iPads they suggest! We didn't and definitely regret it as we had a great turnout. 

Attendees and brands loved the simplicity and how next level it felt (beyond just a wristband). I'd definitely recommed ExpoPass for your next event, especially if you are looking for it to feel like you're offering a premier experience!

We had difficulty with our sessions and logging in on Android devices. We also ran into some issues during the sales process of the sales rep knowing the services that are included/not included in the price

The only thing I would flag is that duplicates cannot be processed on the Guest List, so make sure that you vet the list before you upload and ensure that the person submitting it knows to remove all duplicates.

It's a great solution for on-demand printing - easy to set up and use. It's a bit less costly than some of the others out there, which makes it the best solution if you're looking for this type of system.

Their chat support is quick to respond, and the AI assistant is surprisingly intelligent compared to other sites. On one occasion, I had trouble with a specific topic, and an ExpoPass customer service agent followed up by email with detailed, helpful information. I really appreciated that level of support.

If you need efficient badging and powerful analytics, ExpoPass is a fantastic choice. The Account Relationship Manager is very responsive and provides excellent customer service.  I really enjoy working with Allison. She listened to our concerns and offered immediate resolutions.

I work for an association management firm and we have been looking to update our registration and badge process. We had outgrown the days of hand printing, stuffing badges, list pulling, and all of the time-consuming tedious items that go along with badges the old-school way. 

We decided to try Expo Pass for the first time during our working meeting of 160 attendees to see if it was a good fit for our Summer meeting where we expect 700+ attendees. We were all surprised at how smoothly everything went. Our attendees loved it and the fear that we were going to lose our personal touch by upgrading our process was not an issue at all.

We instantly went from outdated processes from the early 2000s to modernization and sophistication! We are excited to grow with Expo Pass and utilize their mobile app and registration features in the future!

My organization used Expo Pass in 2024 for a 250-person conference we hosted. It was amazing. I couldn't have been more thrilled that we had moved past stuffing badges manually and having a check list to confirm attendees at check in. Expo Pass was easy to setup and very simple (and intuitive) to use. Our event was the first week of December 2024 and we are already looking at securing it again for the 2025 event a year from now. The support staff was wonderful and this time we will be adding the registration option as well. We can't wait to really dive in and use more of the services this coming year.

I think the only think that was a little funky was the feedback report we got from our sessions. It was a bit tricky to review it all based on how the data comes back (a excel sheet with each attendee answering a single answer, per session). We already provided feedback though and the team was going to look into how to make that better.

ExpoPass provided event day check-in, badge printing, exhibitor lead scanning, session check-ins, and a whole event app for our annual Tech Summit. We had a dedicated person who helped and supported us in the months leading up to the event who was very quick to respond not only to my team, but also any questions that came in from our exhibitors and guests. We look forward to continuing to use ExpoPass for our future events.

The Android functionalities in the app have gotten better over the past year, but still laking some of the features that Apple users have.
Would like to see some sort of gamification available in the app.

Seemless check-in process for our guests arriving to our event. Simply enter their name on the provided iPad and their badge prints on the spot. No longer do we have to preprint badges and have a bunch of waste for those who don't show up. Plus we don't have to search for a guest's name tag among 500 other name tags of registered guests. ExpoPass also gives our exhibitors a way to collect contact information from our guests (as we do not provide a list of contact info after the event to our exhibitors).

Our check in process was old, clunky and slow. With the iPads, our attendees were able to check in quickly, make updates to their information, and have badges that were actually useful. The double sided badge allowed us to put the schedule at a glance on the back. We were also able to take attendance that was much more meaningful than a headcount. Our vendors were able to collect leads and follow up with attendees. I felt good knowing that notifications would reach our attendees in the unlikely event of an emergency.

We spent time sourcing for vendors and found Expo Pass pricing very competitive and appreciated the clear communication with their sales team.

Expo Pass is the most user-friendly and intuitive event management platform we have used. It is robust yet approachable. From event setup to user creation and attendee app, it is extraordinarily easy to get setup and launch live quickly. When we have had feedback or needed assistance their customer support has always been quickly to respond and very helpful, including adding features  that we requested.

When using Expo Pass for the first time to manage a large trade show a few years ago I had complaints about the onsite checkin workflow. Following my feedback the platform was updated and I no longer have those complaints.

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For several years we used Eventbrite+Boomset, but when Boomset was purchased by another company and sunsetted we had to go searching for a new solution. We found Expo Pass and used them for one show a few years back. I had complaints for Expo Pass about the onsite check-in workflow in their system and then went searching for a new event management platform. We began using a different platform which turned out to be a nightmare. At that time Expo Pass reached out directly to me thanking us for our feedback and shared that they have added the features we were looking for. We are now back with Expo Pass and very happy, and relieved.

The aesthetics of the registration page were great!  Badge printing was attractive and pretty quick.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

Not for Conference with 1000 or more attendees, CEU tracks, group registration needs, or multiple sessions offered simultaneously.  I've delineated the issues below:

1.  Registration Page set-up has minimal customization at the time of our conference (Sept 2024).  There is no way to indicate where you want your questions to show up on the ExpoPass registration form, nor what order you want the options from a drop down box to appear (ie. alphabetical order, number order, etc).

2.  Session selections have no internal logic.  Registrants can select multiple conflicting sessions.  This plays havoc on the ability to know actual registration numbers verse mistakes.  There is no way to make any session selections time slots mandatory.  For multi day events several of our registrants missed the subsequent days because they did not select each day through the small drop down box at the top of the page.

3. There no way to print Attendee session selections.  Session numbers cannot be printed on badges, mail merges, or even exported as an excel database.  You have 2 options to retrieve this data, either export the "Session Pre-registration URL" which you can click for every user to see their selections, or you can download the Session Attendance report which is a roster for who is signed up for individual sessions.  Neither report is useful if you want to look at what a group of individuals selected (or failed to select because they overlooked something, see number 2). 

4.  The only way to register groups through the system is through a Promocode system.  We have several schools and Churches who register groups for our conference, and creating promocodes and invoicing those groups for their group amount through the promocode they purchased was our only option.   This became cumbersome as promocodes at the time of our conference (Sept 2024) could only adjusted by the user to be either unlimited or one time use.  We needed to create an additional database of promocodes and work with ExpoPass' Dev Team to ensure the appropriate limits were set, the promise was that these limits would take effect 1 to 2 business days after the request but in reality it was up to a week or beyond since the Dev Team would only review those requests weekly.  Additionally the promocodes are tied to Registration Level and not to individual registrant.  This makes sense in a "Tiered Ticket" scenario but for CEU tracks that have the same value as General Admission tracks this is a complete mess, as groups like schools and Churches who need promocodes to register their groups will have multiple different track needs.  There should be an option to tie a promocode to the registration at the end rather than only to tracks.  

5.  The Exhibitor tab is completely unusable.  When an exhibitor is inputted into the Exhibitor tab the ARE NOT included with the credentials that are printed. They need to be added to the Attendees tab in addition to being in the Exhibitor tab.  In the Exhibitor tab only one person can be link with an exhibitor company.  We have several publishing companies who come to exhibit at our conference and every one of them will send more than one person to assist at their exhibitor booth.  This is "rectified" in the exhibitor portion of the app, but even there exhibitors can add their own personnel, but none of that info gets to the User and thus none of their personnel gets credentials for the event. 

6.  Attendees cannot also be Users.  A User in ExpoPass is anyone who has access to the data to add attendees, manipulate sessions, or scan attendees at session doors for CEU tracking. For example, me as the client could not be registered as an attendee at my conference if I wanted to also control the data at my conference.  The way around this is to create a separate email and generate 2 different sign-in profiles, one as a user and one as an attendee.s

ExpoPass replaced a previous HTML website form we created to capture registration data, and track CEUs. This was a cumbersome system that required several SQL scripts to combine the data received.  ExpoPass' promise was to replace that system and provide better tracking for our needs.

**What do you like best about Expo Pass?**

The best thing about Expo Pass, is the quick turn around for onsite registrations, quick printing (especially if you have multiple attendees), and badge scanning for CE tracking.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

The least helpful thing about Expo Pass, is that staff (event users) have to be inputted two times (user and attendees) and it has to be seperate emails.

Time saving with registration and the CE tracking process.

**What do you like best about Expo Pass?**

What I liked most about Expo Pass was its seamless and user-friendly interface, which made managing our 3686 Conference a breeze. The ability to handle attendee registration, check-ins, and real-time data all in one place was incredibly efficient. The app's flexibility allowed us to customize our event setup to suit our unique needs, from tracking sessions to engaging with attendees through push notifications. It saved us a lot of time and simplified the process.

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

The only downside we encountered was the occasional lag in updating real-time data during high-traffic periods. However, this was rare and didn't significantly impact the overall flow of our event.

**What do you like best about Expo Pass?**

The team is so incredibly helpful + responsive. Even if our account rep was out of office and our question wasn't urgent, someone on the team jumped into respond quickly. 

The ease of use of the system itself was amazing. I know there are so many features that we didn't utilize, but the simplicity and ease of setting up our badges, printing them, and making changes on the spot hit the mark for us!

**What do you dislike about Expo Pass?**

We didn't come across anything we DIDN'T like about Expo Pass. Again, we only used one of their many features, but there was nothing that we disliked.

**What problems is Expo Pass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expo Pass solved the ability to identify attendees EASILY and made the check in process easy for THEM! At the end of the day, the onsite journey for our attendees begins from the moment that they check in, and we want to make sure we start that on the right foot. Expo Pass played an integral part in that.

Check-in for our events was very manual and required a lot of team support. Now, we have an easier experience for guests and require less manual work from our internal team to manage. We also get more accurate data post-event about who checked in.

You have to know an accurate number of attendees to ensure you have enough printing materials.

Attendee badge edits at registration onsite. They make it easy to edit any of the fields and make the needed changes.
