"This product is awseome to handle student info"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

For the past year, our school has relied on Sawyer to run our after school basketball program, and the results have been extremely positive. In my role as program coordinator, I’ve noticed that Sawyer has made a real difference in streamlining our processes, from handling registrations to keeping in touch with parents. We pretty much use this platform everyday for our programs here and its been pretty awesome. The platfom has been pretty easy to integrate after getting familiar. What do you dislike about Sawyer?

Although the platform is generally user-friendly, certain features can be challenging to grasp, particularly for staff members who are less comfortable with technology. Getting started with the initial programs or adjusting registration settings may involve some trial and error. Additionally, Sawyer does not always integrate smoothly with our existing school systems, such as student information or attendance databases. As a result, we occasionally need to duplicate our work or manually move data between platforms. Customer support has also been great to help with these small quirks. "Better for certain organizations/businesses"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

What I like the most about Sayer is the interface and how easy it is to use and how good it looks. It is something we use every work day and has become an important part of our organization serving as our student information system and our customer relationship management. Sawyer has several features that help build and organize programs or classes, as well as pull reports about those classes and the corresponding financials. It is very easy to set up additional users and vary their permissions as needed. I personally really like the integration with stripe, and the connection to our bank and the payouts that it receives are pretty straightforward and easy to set up. This is also true in the inverse if we need to provide a refund. In the same light, it is also easy to transfer students or create orders on their behalf in the event that it was too difficult on the client side or if there was another problem. The few times I've had to reach out to customer support they have gotten back to me quickly and I also enjoy the few webinars or training opportunities they provide. It's also nice to have opportunities to review potential improvements and it really makes you feel like you have some direction in something that you invest in. What do you dislike about Sawyer?

I think the current iteration of Sawyer is very dependent on the structure of your organization. For example, as a non profit, I've developed the perspective that Sawyer as a tool created to maximize revenue and not a tool to manage programs and people. This may not be inherently bad, but for my organization it is largely counter. A lot of the things I dislike about Sawyer are unfortunately a part of the things that I do like about it. Some things give you just enough to make you think it will be helpful and then as you continue along, you realize it actually isn't. For example, as a non profit, it's really nice to be able to schedule out a bunch of classes and get all the dates set, only to realize that there are limitations around creating free programs. On that same note, offering different payment options, having marketplace fees, and booking fees is really difficult for many of our families to cope with and it's hard for us to absorb any of these costs or find different payment options on our own. As a non profit, we also need as much information as possible from our registration and while there are a variety of reporting options, I think it's something that can be improved vastly. I often have to edit the data after I pull it to make it relevant to what I wanted in the first place. Things look great on both the client and user side, but it is a bit limited as far as differentiating things go. There is a nice feature to change schedule colors, but there are not enough colors and there are not enough user roles to help differentiate between who really should see what schedule and information on the user side. It's nice that you can communicate to a lot of clients at once, but it can be a bit challenging to achieve that at scale, so while it's certainly possible it is easier to talk to send a message to one class than it is a whole schedule. Lastly, transferring and making new orders are relatively easy, but this can also result in false information such as cancelations when really we just want to fix someone's mistake of registering for the wrong class. This can sometimes make it confusing for both clients and users. , Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Software that Continues to Improve"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

Sawyer is for the most part very user friendly. There are a lot of functions that we find extremely helpful; messaging an entire class/waitlist all at once, reporting that is easy to access, as well as the calendar layout to get a broad, "big picture" look at how enrollment is going.

I appreciate Sawyer's commitment to continuous improvement as well; the product has changed a lot even since I first began using it a couple of years ago, and the team seems very open to feedback. Response times for any issues we've had have been fast, and I appreciate the customer service team's willingness to meet via Zoom meetings for anything requiring more extensive discussion. What do you dislike about Sawyer?

There are a few functions on Sawyer that newer employees I've trained have found confusing; for example, the distinction between "listings" and "schedules" and the way that it is separated can be counterintuitive. There is a lot of repetitive work associated with creating a class and adding that class to a particular semester, particularly because we as an organization are often tweaking small things like age ranges/price/timing etc. This process could be streamlined more so there is not so much clicking back and forth between sections/screens. As I mentioned, it seems the team at Sawyer is always looking to improve, so these are minor annoyances more than actual problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative and easy, but lacking some wanted features."
What do you like best about Sawyer?

Automation of enrollment and ease of use for parents. Reminders for parents and looks nice on our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sawyer?

The widget can slow down our website. It is missing some features that I would really like such as the ability to schedule send messages, a live person to call if I have questions. today I called and went to leave a message and it said their mailbox was full. Cost is high considering we they get a flat rate on our orders over a certain amount. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Registration and Top-Notch Support"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

I find Sawyer exceptionally useful for my needs, particularly in the way it integrates registration, signing of waivers, and payment into a single cohesive platform, which streamlines my process of registering kids for the summer camp and workshops I run. I appreciate the amazing and very human customer service that Sawyer provides—they are always available and accessible, and their ability to look at my specific account is incredibly helpful. I love how they send screenshots with circles around the areas they are talking about, which makes understanding and resolving any issues much easier for me. Additionally, the initial setup of Sawyer was easy thanks to the support from their excellent onboarding team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sawyer?

I wish there were better report functions that allow me to select just the fields I want to see. For example, being able to download just the kid's name and allergies or the kid's name and friend requests for a specific 'Camp/Event' would be beneficial. Currently, it's an all-or-nothing download, which is not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Registration site for my early childhood dance studio!"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

I really like how user-friendly the site is! It's a very easy layout to see the roaster of my classes/camps and easy to message all of them. The customer support is very fast and effective, always answering my questions. I use it on desktop and on my phone. The mobile site is user-friendly as well. I do really love the marketplace, where families can look up classes and camps in their area. We have found many families that way! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sawyer?

I'm not the biggest fan of the party feature on the site. I think it needs more customizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mostly good, could use some improvements"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

Sawyer has most of the features we need at my workplace. I appreciate the monthly schedule because I'm a very visual person and like to see everything laid out all in one place. Things are very customizable to an extent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sawyer?

There are some features that we wish Sawyer had that it doesn't, that would make it more user-friendly for both us and our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Scheduling and Invoicing Solution for Education"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

I appreciate Sawyer's ability to streamline my business operations, linking invoicing with scheduling and making it more professional and automated. The automation saves me significant time, and its integration captures critical client information seamlessly. The system's invoicing function is crucial, handling recurring billing efficiently without requiring manual follow-ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sawyer?

I found the initial setup and configuration process with Sawyer a bit tricky. Specifically, figuring out the differences between schedules and activities was challenging initially. Additionally, getting the live link from Sawyer and integrating it with my Wix website was often confusing for me. I frequently forget how to perform certain tasks like adding different menu items or creating specific elements on my website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sawyer?

consistent functionality, diverse capabilities, easy to read and navigate, easy to communicate with customers, usable on any device Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sawyer?

reports are hard to make useful, questions are often met with "we've been hearing that and will look into it," adult customers are hard to differentiate from kids Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sawyer has helped us grow our organization"
What do you like best about Sawyer?

Sawyer has become an important database for our organization as it grows. I appreciate that I can find a client's information, purchase history, and more in one place. Additionally, Sawyer integrates well with our website, and parents find it easier to use that other platforms. Finally, Sawyer's support center is very responsive, which is appreciated! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sawyer?

I would like to see the reporting side of Sawyer more fine tuned. I sometimes have trouble pulling the information that I need quickly, or have to compile it from multiple reports. Additionally, I would like an easier way to issue discounts and program credits, than the coupons system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
