One thing I’d test is how the platform handles handoffs between design and marketing. Some tools are great for marketers editing existing templates, but less great when designers need tighter control over the system those templates live in.

We learned pretty quickly that “shared library” doesn’t automatically mean “good collaboration.” The real question is whether people can find the right template, know which version is current, and make changes without breaking something important.

If your workflow includes approvals, I’d look very closely at whether the platform handles that natively or whether your team still ends up doing reviews in Slack, email, or docs.

Brevo worked fairly well for collaborative workflow with our small team because the editor was easy enough that our marketers could make updates without too much back-and-forth. That helped keep things moving, even if it was not the most advanced setup for approvals or version control.
