"Mindbody Makes Class Scheduling and Client Management Easy"
What do you like best about Mindbody?

I like Mindbody for use in fitness and dance studios. I feel that this platform is great for organizing classes, signing clients in, creating workshops and keeping contact logs. What do you dislike about Mindbody?

What I dislike is how the updates at times disrupts how an established flow that studio established and that it takes a little while to figure out where an old feature now lives. There are times when Mindbody is not intuitive, however thus far I've really appreciated the customer support and that I can get on the phone with them pretty easily and they can walk me through how to solve the problem. What do you like best about Mindbody?

Mindbody keeps all of our scheduling, client management, sales, and reporting in one organized system. It is very easy for our staff to use, even during busy periods, and the interface makes daily operations smooth and efficient. Their customer support is excellent and any time we needed assistance they guided us through screen sharing and resolved issues quickly. We use the software every day and rely on most of the features available in the Business app, except for the marketing tools. Overall, it has streamlined how we run our studio. What do you dislike about Mindbody?

Some features in Mindbody seem outdated and often require too many steps to accomplish basic tasks. Certain settings are not very intuitive, which can make onboarding new staff slower than it should be. I also find it limiting that Mindbody only allows a single liability waiver per client at their first visit; it would be much more helpful if multiple waivers could be assigned for different services, especially for studios offering a variety of options. Additionally, the forms and waivers could be improved to be more dynamic and user-friendly, rather than depending mainly on uploaded documents. What do you like best about Mindbody?

I like Mindbody's automations because I don't have to think about what to send each client to keep them engaged with my business. The campaigns help me target the right client with the right offer. I also appreciate the exposure to ClassPass, which has given me more reach. Recently, I started using the AI messenger, and I find it useful. What do you dislike about Mindbody?

I don't like that Mindbody isn't clear about Contracts and Autopay/Contracts being two different things. I had issues with my memberships not working properly, and support wasn't very helpful with resolving it. It's frustrating that autopay/contracts are not explained well for different contexts, like using memberships for specific services instead of just gym memberships. What do you like best about Mindbody?

What do you dislike about Mindbody?

Mindbody's integration of different platforms doesn't work well, requiring me to update information separately in different places. The branded web, app, and consumer mode create different customer journeys, which isn't ideal. There are also bugs in the system that don't get resolved quickly, and it's designed more for a class-based enterprise, which doesn't fit well with my business model that includes multilevel revenue and various packages. The tech stack hasn't helped in providing a clear and easy-to-use customer journey, leading many customers to default to using the phone instead of the booking process, which is disappointing. Also, the setup was almost impossible and very challenging, and the CRM built into Mindbody isn't good enough, being too beta and not providing the right branding. What do you like best about Mindbody?

I like that Mindbody keeps many of our functions all in one spot. I appreciate the brand recognition and its scalability to our business needs, as it can be used in both smaller locations and more robust ones. What do you dislike about Mindbody?

Because we don't always use Mindbody in the same way that a boutique studio would use it, there can be items that are not always reportable in the way that we would like to see them. Would also be great if locker management was more robust to be able to let you know what lockers are available to be rented not just which ones are rented out currently. IE if you have 50 lockers, it would be great if the software could tell you that locker number 5 is available to be rented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenient Scheduling, Needs Better Reporting"
What do you like best about Mindbody?

I guess sometimes Mindbody looks very simple. I mean, just booking an appointment is very simple. Looking at some reports is very simple. And checking out sessions is simple too. So, yeah, the simplicity of the app is really nice. Since these tasks are easy to do in Mindbody, it allows me to save so much time on doing things. On a very busy day, it allows me to be efficient. What do you dislike about Mindbody?

There are some reports that we cannot produce, like specific reports about total clients with assessments. It's also a little bit hard to reschedule appointments. "Great All-in-One Retail System, But Recent Updates Slow Everything Down"
What do you like best about Mindbody?

What do you dislike about Mindbody?

After the last major update, mindbody is VERY slow after you click on a few screens. It's not compatible with all browsers anymore especially Safari. It works best on Chrome. It doesn't work with firefox. The account details screen, which we need to access constantly is especially slow. After about 3-4 page changes the computer fan kicks into high and MBO kicks into s l o w. The browser must be restarted to continue or the browser just locks up. Tech support has suggested Chrome in private mode. This has helped but not eliminated the problem. If you need to sell retail products you are lucky to add one to the buy screen before the products tab quits loading...OVERALL, MBO is very clunky and click happy. It takes way to long to check clients out. We get frustrated. They get frustrated. The last time I spoke with tech support they said I needed to buy new computers. Things worked just fine before the update. I cannot afford to replace all 3 computers at the front desk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While Mindbody is easy to use for clients, there is a learning curve for the owners to use it to its fullest potential. The level of support is great though, either in the written support page or swift call to support if needed. I appreciate the cool new feature in Mindbody that notifies teachers via email when they are scheduled as substitutes. This functionality seems like a step in the right direction toward improving communication within our studio. Additionally, I would be keen on utilizing features that allow for the requirement of payment information for some booking options, which could be beneficial for maintaining better business practices. What do you dislike about Mindbody?

I initially found the onboarding experience very overwhelming, partly due to a misunderstanding of the onboarding specialist's role, which could have been communicated better. Although I overcame this issue eventually, the software remains quite complex for those without much tech experience in marketing or various software tools. Additionally, Mindbody does not integrate well with Shopify, a widely used platform for hosting websites, and this lack of integration presents a challenge and an area for improvement.
