"Effortless Market Expansion with Localize"
What do you like best about Localize?

I really like how easy Localize is to use and how well it integrates with our websites and tools. It doesn't feel overly technical, so our dev team can use it without much hassle. It's also very fast, and we trust the translations it provides fairly well. I appreciate that it reduces the development time since we don't have to use other translation services, and it opens up access to a larger market for our products and services. The initial setup was extremely easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

If it's possible to be dumbed down even further so that a non-dev person could use it, that may be possible. But in my experience, as a non-techie guy, it's probably easier just to give it to our dev team. So there's anything that could be done to make it even more simple for a nontechnical person to implement, that would be really cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Translation, Effortless Workflow"
What do you like best about Localize?

I like how Localize simplifies the entire localization workflow. Things are picked up automatically and everything is centralized in one place, making it easy to keep translations in sync across our products and website. The clean and intuitive user interface allows our team to be productive quickly. I also appreciate the balance between automation and control, as we can use machine translations to move fast but still review and fine tune important content before it goes live. This saves us a lot of time in general. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

Overall, Localize works well for us, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The interface could be a bit faster with large projects. There could be more flexibility in the workflow and collaboration tools. Better reporting and insights about translation quality would also be helpful, as well as improving turnaround time. For workflow and collaboration, more customizable steps and approvals, and clear ways to assign and track ownership across team members and translators would be beneficial. In terms of reporting, simple dashboards showing translation volume, turnaround times, and bottlenecks would help us manage our localization process better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use and an impressively reactive team"
What do you like best about Localize?

Adopting Localize was incredibly easy and it integrated seamlessly with our website. I've been particularly impressed by the flexibility of the tooling available. For instance, our workflow differs quite a bit from Localize's intended use cases, and yet the platform has adapted to our needs and allowed us to scale our localization efforts time and time again. On top of this, the Localize team has always been incredibly responsive and is quick to address any questions or concerns we bring up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

The minor drawback of using Localize is that it picks up a lot of spam phrases in the process of scraping content. However, the platform does provide mitigation tools that have allowed us to counter this issue and maintain control over our phrase count. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Localization with Easy Setup"
What do you like best about Localize?

I like how easy Localize is to set up and maintain. The initial setup was quite easy, and adding JavaScript snippets to the site was straightforward, allowing Localize to start detecting content almost immediately. I also appreciate the centralized dashboard, which makes it easy to manage languages and review translations. These features save a lot of time and reduce friction in the localization process, especially since updates can be handled without touching the codebase repeatedly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

One area that could be improved is the user interface, which can feel slightly overwhelming at first when managing a larger number of languages or content entries. Some additional customization options for workflows and permissions would make it even better for larger or more complex teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionized Our Translation Workflow"
What do you like best about Localize?

I like Localize primarily because of its automatic content detection and visual editor. The automatic content detection is fantastic as it means my team and I almost never have to bother our developers about new translation strings. It finds everything on the page and flags it for translation. The visual editor is brilliant—it allows us to jump into the actual live site and adjust translations in place, making quality assurance much faster because we can immediately see if a word fits or breaks the layout. Additionally, the initial setup was surprisingly easy, and the tool works well with our existing setup. It's pretty much as 'code-free' as advertised, which made it painless to get started quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

Honestly, my main gripe is the machine translation quality out of the box. While the AI detects content perfectly, the automatic translations often require significant editing to match our specific brand voice and tone. We still rely heavily on human editors to refine everything. Also, the dashboard can be a bit overwhelming sometimes; finding specific strings that are only in dynamic pop-ups can be tricky, even with the filtering options. It works, but navigating the content management side could be a bit cleaner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Localize is by far one of the best CAT tools I've used."
What do you like best about Localize?

Localize has honestly made my work so much easier. The platform is very simple to use, and I really like how it handles translations, tags, and placeholders without any confusion. The quality of translations is solid, and whenever I reached out for support, their team was fast and genuinely helpful. Its one of those tools I keep comig back to almost every day because it just saves me time and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

I enjoy using Localize its simple and works well on my pc. But on mobile, its a bit frustrating. Every time I try to edit text in desktop mode, the screen zooms all the way in and I can't move the cursor properly. Thats why I mostly stick to using it on my computer. If they could make it more mobile friendly, it would almost much cover everything I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Streamlines Localization"
What do you like best about Localize?

I use Localize to manage translations for my web applications and WordPress sites, which streamlines the entire localization workflow. I appreciate how it automates the detection of new content, saving significant development time and preventing technical errors, allowing me to focus on building features rather than managing spreadsheets of translations. The seamless integration process, where adding just a simple code snippet can get me started, is incredibly efficient. I love the automatic content detection feature, which instantly picks up new text strings for translation. The visual editor is another standout aspect, making it intuitive to see how translations will look in the actual UI, and it is invaluable for maintaining quality assurance by allowing me to quickly identify design breaks caused by longer translated strings. Localize seamlessly integrates with my existing WordPress and React-based workflow, supporting standard web technologies with ease, and the setup was simple, taking less than 15 minutes with a small JavaScript snippet. Overall, it's a powerful tool that has significantly improved my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

I find the pricing structure of Localize to be somewhat steep, which can be challenging for smaller projects or startups that are just beginning to scale. Additionally, the automatic content detection feature, while useful, sometimes picks up dynamic content strings or variable placeholders that shouldn't be translated. This requires manual configuration to exclude them, which can be an inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Localize Marketing of Localize

We really appreciate you sharing this! It's great to hear how Localize has helped simplify your localization work and how well the visual editor and content detection fit into your workflow. Your notes about pricing and filtering out dynamic strings are really helpful. Thank you for calling those out. We're glad Localize has been a valuable tool for you!

"Effortless Localization, Smooth Translation"
What do you like best about Localize?

I have been using Localize for about a month for teaching purposes, and it has significantly saved me time with its easy-to-navigate, straightforward user interface. I love how it clearly differentiates between code and text that needs translation, making website localization a practical and efficient experience. The workflow tools are wonderful, enabling a focus on individual translations. Using Localize for Spanish translation results in text that reads smoothly and idiomatically, capturing a friendly and accessible tone with correct punctuation suggestions. It also naturally acknowledges historical gender roles in Spanish translations. Additionally, I enjoy the color scheme and design of the platform, which facilitate seamless navigation. The functionality is easy to adapt to, and setup was very straightforward for me. Overall, everything about Localize has been convenient, and I'd highly recommend it to others. "Effortlessly Bridges Language Gaps, But Pricey for NGOs"
What do you like best about Localize?

I find Localize to be a fantastic tool that's incredibly useful for translation into different languages, which has significantly benefited my organization. The simplicity of Localize, making it one of the easiest tools to use, is something I highly appreciate. The editor, especially for converting machine languages to manual languages, is extremely helpful and provides a seamless user experience. The inline editor is simple to use and very effective as it allows me to see the context of translations directly. Localize has been instrumental in dynamically rendering web pages and app content in various languages, which is critically important for reaching diverse audiences, especially in remote regions where native languages vary greatly. The dynamic translation feature of the product is unparalleled in the market. Furthermore, my experience over the past four years with Localize has been positive enough for me to repeatedly opt for it, finding it to be the best solution available for my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

The cost of Localize is particularly high, especially for not-for-profit organizations like mine. In a country like India, where the number of languages we need is extensive, the price point becomes prohibitively steep. I am only able to access translation services for six languages due to budget constraints, but I require at least three or four more languages to meet our needs. Expanding to 10 languages would drastically increase costs, making it untenable for us. It would be beneficial if Localize could offer a pricing model adapted for NGOs or countries with diverse linguistic requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Localize Marketing of Localize

We can't thank you enough for sharing such detailed feedback with us, Sylvia, and for trusting Localize for the past 4 years! We're thrilled to hear how Localize has supported your mission. We also truly appreciate your thoughtful note about pricing for NGOs. It's an important perspective, and helps us to explore how we can continue to improve. Thank you for being part of the Localize community and for sharing your experience so openly!

"Effortless Multilingual Support for Our Product"
What do you like best about Localize?

Localize has enabled us to quickly and efficiently translate our product for families whose first or native language is not English. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localize?

If I have any complaints about Localize, they are quite minor. Occasionally, I find the site a bit confusing to navigate, especially since I don't visit it very often. However, whenever I need to make adjustments, it's easy for me to recall where I need to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Localize Marketing of Localize

Thank you so much for sharing this! We're so glad that Localize has helped you support families whose first language isn't English. That's exactly the kind of impact we hope to make.
