"Fast Implementation and Easy Migration Automation"
What do you like best about Iru?

It truly shows. I spend less time in the portal than I did with our previous MDM solution. It took me about a week to understand the basic workflows, and then less than two weeks to have something fully implemented and ready for migration. Their migration automation was very easy to use, and it created a good end-user experience on our side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I wouldn’t say I dislike it, but I was hoping new features—such as the simplified PSSO—would be available, and that we could use Dynamic SCEP instead of Static or even the ability to select either or. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kandji/Iru: The Easiest Way to Manage Your Growing Apple Fleet"
What do you like best about Iru?

The ease of use and intuitive interface of Iru are exceptional. The platform allowed us to achieve full device management for our Mac and iOS fleet incredibly fast, making the Ease of Implementation a major upside. We especially appreciate the one-click actions, pre-built Blueprints, and how straightforward it is to deploy apps and enforce compliance. Their Customer Support has also been responsive and extremely knowledgeable whenever we've needed assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

While there's very little to dislike, we are looking forward to the continued expansion of features, particularly for advanced Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) capabilities and deeper integration with other core security platforms we use. This is a minor point, as the platform is already excellent for our core MDM needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use with Quick Support, but Batch Requirements and Features Lag vs Jamf"
What do you like best about Iru?

I like the ease of use, quick support and growth into windows devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

it seems Iru is not targeted towards small companies by requiring batche sof 25 devices, some companies do not need that many at one time. Being able to manage our usage and billing in portal would be helpful as well.

Functionality wise it does have some lacking features compared to Jamf. And i wish there was more granular control on some library items like if/then statements. A good example is being able to more clearly enforce a OS -2 policy. I'd like to be able to let people be on the last two major OS releases but then also manage them both more drill down for folks that are on each. Right now it seems like i can only drill down into one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A must try for Mac Admins dipping their toes into Mac MDM"
What do you like best about Iru?

-Blueprint feature, which provides a graphical path of how managed profiles and software are deployed to machine. Can narrow it down to per device to see the path it takes on the blueprint

-Clear categories in left side menu, ease of finding particular functions related to them (such as apps, vulnerability scans etc)

-Good search filter and custom views for devices, such as OS version, serial, model etc

-A strong support team who can provide answers and assist with any questions with integrations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

-Before you could easily access the Knowledge Base Articles from the platform, now you need to search it on Google to get there. The AI has no suggestions and only offers you the option to chat with support (which I think is overkill for finding where it is) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong Security Features, but User Experience Needs Improvement"
What do you like best about Iru?

The features are sufficient to provide the necessary security controls without custom scripts. For admins it's plug and play, set and forget Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Sometimes the UX for end users is lacking (it doesn't show errors if a user tries to enter the wrong password) or tries to overwhelm them with notifications; as a result, users start to ignore them. After that, macOS updates are enforced, and it isn't clear to users why their device was rebooted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Iru Makes Remote Hardware Management Straightforward and Easy"
What do you like best about Iru?

As someone who’s still getting used to managing hardware remotely, I find that Iru makes remote management straightforward and easy to handle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

One of the very few challenges I have with the platform is that it is not always clear what needs to be done in Iru v. Apple Business Manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Integration and User-Friendly Experience"
What do you like best about Iru?

What stands out to me is how easy it is to use, along with its seamless integration with the tools we already rely on. Since all our devices run on MacOS and our company is organized through Google Workspace, the integration works flawlessly for our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

After using it for a year, the only difficulty we've encountered is having to add a new item—and remembering to do so—whenever a major OS release occurs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Streamlined, Scalable: Why Kandji is a Top MDM for macOS and iOS"
What do you like best about Iru?

Kandji’s standout feature is its Auto-Remediation system. It continuously monitors devices for compliance and automatically fixes issues when something drifts out of spec. This reduces the manual work typically required in other MDMs and helps maintain security and compliance with minimal oversight. With Kandji + Apple Business Manager, you can set up and ship devices directly to employees—no IT hand-holding required. It’s especially great for remote and hybrid teams.

The admin dashboard is clean, easy to navigate, and makes device management less of a headache. You don’t need to be a command-line wizard to manage policies, apps, or updates. Kandji offers a huge library of pre-configured controls and policies (like FileVault, Gatekeeper, etc.) that can be applied with just a few clicks. It saves a lot of time during setup. Because Kandji is 100% Apple-focused, every feature is optimized for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS. No compromises or clunky cross-platform workarounds like you might find in other MDMs. You can easily set up custom security baselines or use Kandji's built-in compliance templates (like CIS Benchmarks). It’s great for regulated industries or security-conscious teams. Kandji’s support team is knowledgeable and fast to respond—and they understand Apple environments, which isn’t always the case with generalist MDM providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Kandji is positioned as a premium solution, and its pricing reflects that. While the features are robust, smaller teams or startups might find the cost a barrier especially when compared to other MDM tools with lower entry points. Kandji is fantastic for Apple environments, but it's not an option for organizations with mixed device fleets (Windows, Android, etc.). If you need cross-platform support, you'll have to manage multiple tools. Some users have noted the lack of a generous free trial or limited self-service onboarding as a downside. It would be helpful to have a hands-on experience before committing, especially for smaller teams evaluating multiple tools. Although Kandji is growing rapidly and expanding its features, power users who want deep-level scripting or advanced customization might find it less flexible than something like Jamf Pro, which has a more mature scripting and automation ecosystem. "Purpose-Built Apple Device Management with Time-Saving Patch Management"
What do you like best about Iru?

Iru is purpose built for managing Apple devices, and as such is much easier to use and configure compared to something like Intune. Additionally, having built in patch management saves a ton of time and assists in maintaining compliance across our fleet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I wish with a custom app that I could upload a folder containing a pkg file and run it in that folder, as some apps I have require additional files beside the pkg. It can be worked around, but I wish it was natively supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
