"Intuitive Iru Endpoint UI with Powerful Blueprint Mapping and Fantastic Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Compared to other MDMs, I love the Iru Endpoint UX and UI. One feature I'm particularly fond of is the Blueprint mapping with conditional rules. It makes it easy to grasp at a glance what's applied to my devices. Support, both from the AI inside the actual platform and from humans through chat is also fantastic. Not having to wait for days to get answers to your questions keeps me productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I've found it hard to customize software updates in a way that feels great for the end user. I want to enforce updates without being intrusive which is a challenge, perhaps not specific to Iru but a challenge nonetheless. I want to let my users defer mandatory updates up to a certain point, not be punished or surprised by them. I'm still new to Iru so might be a knowledge problem. "Simple Setup, Easy Compliance Reporting, and Critical Vulnerability Patching"
5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

It was very simple to get setup and get all of our devices enrolled. Helped us get into compliance and report easily to Drata. Found and patched so many critical software vulnerabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Honestly nothing. We're a very small company with no dedicated IT staff and it's incredible easy to manage. Our customer success manager Alex is fantastic to work with and answers all of our questions. If I had to say something, I wish there was a self-service version for smaller companies. "Excellent Mac MDM"
5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Security policies and the patch management. Software management and the ability to push out ABM software we have purchased as well. The predone blueprints are great building blocks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

SSO/Azure tie in doesn't work as well as we would like. We still ended up going with Jumpcloud for user authentication tie in to active directory for ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable, Clean MDM That Pays for Itself"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Been using Iru for a while now and it's become one of those tools I don't think twice about anymore. It just works.

UI/UX is clean and doesn't overwhelm you. Everything's where you'd expect it to be, and I didn't need a manual to figure out the layout. Navigating between devices, scripts, and policies feels natural, and the dashboard actually surfaces the stuff you care about instead of burying it.

Integrations are solid - the big ones you need for an MDM to work, work well (Entra, Apple Business, Autopilot).

Performance has been solid. Scripts run reliably, the agent doesn't eat resources, and I'm not sitting around waiting for things to sync. Multi-endpoint stuff stays snappy even as we've scaled up.

Pricing/ROI makes sense for what you get. It's not the cheapest thing on the shelf, but the time it saves easily justifies the cost, especially when you factor in how much manual remediation work it takes off your plate. The value shows up fast. I'm able to turn around replacement laptops in very short order and onboardings are pretty much solved.

Support/Onboarding was smoother than I expected. Getting set up didn't drag out, and when I had questions the team was responsive and actually helpful rather than sending canned replies.

AI/Intelligence features are nice though I admittedly don't use them much. I think the AI support bot is actually quite good, though. It handles a lot of my questions without escalating to a human. While I always prefer a human - the AI bot has good context.

All in all, easy recommend. It's reliable, thoughtfully built, and pays for itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The Windows capabilities were rolled out a bit quickly with some things not fully solved yet. Not a huge issue - we were on Iru specifically for our Mac fleet. They have been rolling out features for Windows regularly though and we have been able to migrate from InTune.

Integrations could potentially use some work. There just aren't many so we have to use the API to sync to our asset database/ITSM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplified device management, stronger security posture"
5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

The zero-touch deployment has been a game-changer for us. New Apple devices arrive, enrol automatically, and land in the right configuration without any manual setup. It's cut down significantly on the time our we spend on device provisioning. Its depth of Apple-specific functionality stands out compared to more generic MDM platforms. Things like FileVault enforcement, automated OS updates, and Apple Business Manager integration just work, with none of the workarounds we needed with previous tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Some of the more advanced policy configurations take a bit of trial and error to get right at first. Clearer in-platform guidance, along with a few practical examples for less common use cases, would make the initial setup easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes Mac Fleet Compliance Effortless with Blueprints, Evidence, and a Powerful API"
5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Jeenie runs an all-Mac fleet of about 40 endpoints supporting a healthcare-adjacent language services business. Our compliance obligations are real — SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR, and we're currently working toward ISO 27001 and ISO 42001. Iru is what makes managing that fleet a part-time job instead of a full-time one.

The biggest win has been compliance evidence. When auditors ask us to prove full-disk encryption, we point to a FileVault profile enforced through Iru across every enrolled device, with escrowed recovery keys we can pull via the API. When they ask how our EDR agent gets deployed and stays deployed, we point to the Blueprint that installs and enforces it. Fleet inventory, per-device compliance status, profile enforcement — it's a screenshot away instead of a two-week evidence-gathering fire drill. For a small team, that difference is enormous.

Blueprints and Assignment Maps are the features I'd show any prospective customer first. Define the desired state once, assign it, and every Mac converges on it — new hires included. Custom Profiles and Custom Apps cover everything else, so we're never stuck waiting for a feature to exist. And the API means Iru fits into our workflows instead of forcing us into a console-only rhythm.

Onboarding a laptop is enrollment plus a Blueprint, not a checklist. Offboarding is handled remotely. Iru's managed local admin account has bailed us out of situations that would otherwise have meant a trip to Apple with proof of purchase.

Iru is one of the few tools in our stack I don't have to think about, which is the highest compliment I can pay a platform. The price and value I am getting from IRU are worth the cost. It has helped keep our fleet up to date and deploy new apps faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I have no issues with IRU at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great MDM for any organisation"
5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Enrolling new devices is straightforward, whether manually or automatically. Building out blueprints, adding applications to a roll-out and keeping them updated all work without fuss. Vulnerability views and detection inspection are clear enough that we can act on them quickly, which matters for keeping the organisation both functional and compliant with its obligations. Having used Kandji/Iru in previous organisations I have also enjoyed the integration with platforms like Vanta. Good value for what we get. As a small organisation we are paying for a tool that does device management and compliance evidence in one place, which for us replaces work that would otherwise sit with people who have other jobs to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The Windows features are quickly catching up to the macOS support (like the EDR released this year) which is great but for a large Windows fleet more features need to be added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong fleet management for a small IT team, chat-only support is limiting"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

The biggest win for us is provisioning. Our Apple fleet is company iPhones, company iPads, and Apple TVs in conference rooms, and before Iru none of it was truly managed. Getting a new user set up took me two to three hours between staging the device, loading apps, and walking them through data migration. Now I assign the device in Iru, hand it off, and the user powers it on. Blueprints handle enrollment, configuration, and app installs from there. That's a couple of minutes of my time instead of two to three hours.

Blueprints are the reason that works. The assignment logic is easy to reason about, so an iPhone for an office user and an iPad headed out to a jobsite land with different apps and restrictions without me maintaining two separate manual processes. Self Service also cuts down on requests, since users can pull approved apps themselves instead of opening a ticket. Enrollment completes reliably on the first try, and configuration changes push out to devices promptly rather than sitting in a queue.

The console is straightforward to navigate, which matters a lot when device management is one responsibility among many rather than a full-time job. Apple Business Manager integration has been reliable and has not needed babysitting.

Licensing is straightforward per device, and everything I need for iOS and iPadOS management is included without add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Support is the weakest part of the experience. It's chat only, with no phone or email option, and some sessions have run over an hour with long gaps between responses. That's a hard model when you're troubleshooting something live on a device in front of you.

The clearest example: automated device enrollment with SSO during Setup Assistant was unreliable and would repeatedly get stuck. I worked it through a chat session, landed on a workaround where I manually assign each device on the Enrollment screen before it goes through Setup Assistant, and that was the end of it. Nobody followed up afterward to check whether it was resolved or to offer an actual fix. The workaround has a side effect too, since device owner only populates automatically when SSO runs during Setup Assistant, so I end up assigning users manually as well. Two manual steps back in a process that should be hands-off.

Onboarding was effectively self-serve. I got the tenant and figured it out from documentation. That was manageable for me, but a team without an admin comfortable digging through docs would feel the gap.

The 25-device minimum to add macOS management is also a real barrier for smaller Apple fleets. Plenty of organizations have a handful of Macs alongside a larger iPhone and iPad footprint, and the minimum makes consolidating onto one platform harder to justify. "Easy-to-Use MDM Integration Tool with Reliable Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Iru?

I like the ease of use of the program. It allows someone with no background in integrations of MDM software to learn quickly and efficiently to better manage their devices. Support is good, either through the IRU AI or speaking to a support representative. I have had no issues with performance, and there have been no issues with connections to the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I think something that could be improved is ease of access to your Iru account manager. Our organization had a previous rep, and we were not made aware of the change. The good thing is, we had no need to speak to them as the environment is pretty self sustainable once it is set up. Better communication is one thing I would suggest. "Straightforward Apple Device Management with Reliable Performance and Great Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Iru?

Iru makes Apple device management straightforward for a small IT team. Zero-touch enrolment with Apple Business Manager means new laptops arrive ready to use, and the Blueprints approach keeps configuration and compliance consistent without much manual effort. The admin console is clean and easy to navigate.

Iru integrates well with the rest of our stack, including Apple Business Manager and our identity provider, which keeps device management consistent with how we handle users and access. Performance has been reliable, with devices enrolling and checking in without issues. Day to day management is simple, and the console makes it easy to see device state and apply changes. Pricing is competitive for what you get compared with other MDM options. The support team is also really good, especially on the technical side, and they get to the root of issues quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Iru could do with more native integrations and app support, as there are still gaps that need workarounds. Some basic controls are missing too, such as managing updates for individual apps and the ability to turn off Iru Self Service notifications. These feel like core features for an MDM, and adding them would make day to day management smoother." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
