What do you like best about Rippling?

I really like the payment transparency with Rippling. I can easily see when a payment was processed, the amount, and I can download a record of it instantly. The onboarding simplicity also stands out. Setting up my contractor profile, payment details, documents, and agreements was all completed within the platform, and it was all done in one session. The initial setup was well guided, nothing felt ambiguous, and the whole process took less than 30 minutes. I'd rate the setup experience a solid 9 out of 10. What do you dislike about Rippling?

Withdrawal flexibility is the main one for international contractors. The payment method options depend heavily on your region, as a contractor based in Pakistan, the choices are more limited compared to what contractors in US or Europe. I like Rippling because it allows me to track my payroll in a timely and easily accessible way. The user interface is very well laid out, making it easy to book time off and access all my previous payments. I think some of the workflows can be a little rigid. There are some nuances like how much time off is really 8.83 days forces you to do a little guess work. Have the ability to customize how time off is displayed - clearly show your paid time off vs your unpaid time off in a clearer manner (I have mistakingly chosen the wrong option a few times). What do you like best about Rippling?

As a software employee, I’ve been using Rippling mainly to access my official documents, payslips, and handle basic HR-related tasks, and overall my experience has been very positive.

The platform is straightforward and easy to navigate. I can log in and quickly find my payslips, tax documents, and personal details without having to dig through multiple sections. Everything feels clearly organized, which saves time and reduces confusion, especially during important moments like salary credits or when documents need to be submitted.

One thing I genuinely appreciate is the consistency. I’ve rarely run into issues when accessing the system, and documents are usually updated on time. That reliability matters when you’re depending on it for salary information and official records.

That said, from an employee perspective I only use a limited set of features, so I can’t fully speak to the more advanced HR or admin functionality. Still, it would be helpful to have clearer notifications or reminders whenever new documents are uploaded.

While my overall experience with Rippling has been positive, there are a few areas that could be improved from an employee perspective.

One of the main issues is the lack of clear notifications. At times, new payslips or documents are uploaded without a strong or noticeable alert, so I end up having to manually check the platform to see what’s new. More reliable notification and reminder options would make this much more convenient.

In addition, some parts of the platform feel limited or not very transparent for employees. For instance, the payslip view could offer clearer explanations and more detailed breakdowns, especially for anyone who wants to fully understand deductions or different salary components.

There are also moments when navigation feels a bit confusing, particularly when I’m trying to locate options I don’t use often. The core features are straightforward, but going beyond them isn’t always as intuitive as it could be.

I appreciate Rippling's direct integration with our new accounting software, which saves us a lot of time by reducing manual time tracking, approvals, and data entry. The direct integration with QBO is better than past systems and is a huge bonus from an accounting perspective. I like the support and onboarding offered, as they are top-notch and help with the learning curve, allowing us to pick up the system quickly and configure it to perform best for our needs. I also appreciate that Rippling helps save staff hours from a processing standpoint and minimizes data input errors, freeing up our team to be more productive.
