Localize Reviews & Product Details

What I appreciate most about Localize is how it simplifies the process of managing translations and multilingual content. The platform is user-friendly, makes it easy to maintain consistency across languages, and allows us to provide a more accessible experience for our learners without creating unnecessary administrative work. While Localize offers a lot of valuable functionality, there is a learning curve when it comes to understanding some of the more advanced features and settings. Certain processes could be more intuitive, and additional guidance or clearer documentation would make it easier to troubleshoot issues and fully utilize the platform's capabilities. Localize has been really great to work with. They are responsive, and have worked to understand many of the complexities our company, Ergotron, has brought to them. I like their administrative interface for its robust functionality and the fact that published changes are instantaneous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes I've found that the requirement of content approval workflow can get in the way of moving quickly when modifying text, and I've found some errors in auto-translations that are unrelated to language but instead related to placement of HTML tags surrounding specific phrases, but it is less common to come across that issue. Localize made it very easy to develop a multilingual application due to its approx no code setup, automatic content detection, on-page editing which is very helpful for developers to deliver multilingual applications without putting too much effort on this part of the application. Also, the best part of Localize is, without any new release, you can publish your content text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was an initial problem when we didn't know how to use Localize, but as we set it up and according to our framework, we created hooks, components, etc. It's difficult to find dislikes now. Sometimes AI-translated text/phrase is not what suits our needs, but we can change it easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like is that it simplifies localization with a UI that helps the engineering team identify which text needs localization, which also makes it cost-effective because it reduces manual translation management. It automates content synchronization, saving time for developers.

What I like best is the strong supporting/onboarding documentation, which resulted in a seamless integration with the frontend and helps teams release multilingual applications faster with minimal user input.

I haven’t seen any performance impact across the different locales supported on the platform.

I’m not sure whether the AI feature is used, but it does automatically identify new or updated content and route it through the translation process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Localize works well overall, but enhancements to reporting, and cost transparency would further improve the experience.

As an lead i always asked about $ invested while performing localization for an give fucntionality but it was not visible upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a lot of customisation options. They offer a variety of AI models that we can choose from to ensure that we have the option to select the right model for the right language. Additionally, their marketplace to help with language checks of machine translated phrases and words is also very convenient to access and maintain from within the platform.

The platform has a good value for money since implementation for ~15 languages is covered as part of the platform and covers most of our use cases. Adding more languages is also not very expensive and can be done easily.

It's easy to implement and their team is quite helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI/UX could use a lot of work. As a Product Manager who isn’t involved in the implementation but wants to troubleshoot or quickly understand what’s going on, I find it quite challenging to navigate the platform and use it effectively.

While the customisation options do help, if Localise isn’t implemented correctly it becomes very difficult to troubleshoot, maintain, and keep things consistent. For example, some phrases that you don’t want translated can end up being translated anyway.

The reporting module also needs improvement. It’s hard to pull a clear list of phrases that were provided as strings from the platform versus strings that were automatically translated.

Email integration with notifications can get overwhelming too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Localize is second to none to localizing/translating software UI. It offers many features to help you translate seamlessly. The on page editor is a great feature to help you see how your translation is going to look like. Also, the ability to find phrases or words is really helpful.

It also tracks and logs the changes and updates, so you can see if you or any colleague already translated phrases, words or text. On top of that you have trackers to see your progress.

Localize eases the work by dividing it into separate projects, so phrases and context are kept.

Their AI suggestion is also very good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the suggested translation, based on AI is not accurate to the client's context and vocabulary, which is understandable. It wouldnt be escalable to have several "industry vocabularies" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You add one JavaScript snippet to the site, much like a Google Analytics tag. After that, non-technical teams can manage translations from a dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The dashboard can be slow at times, especially the visual editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very fast setup — you can often start with a single JavaScript snippet.

Automatic content detection — it scans your app/site and finds translatable text automatically.

No-code workflow for translators — non-developers can manage translations from the dashboard instead of editing JSON files manually Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Your translation workflow becomes tied to their platform/dashboard.

Migrating away later can take effort if your app heavily depends on their runtime system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Localize every day and I can say that is a very friendly, time-saving, and reliable tool for translation. Also their Customer Support helps every time, implementation is really easy and integration with the actual website was seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, there’s nothing really wrong with it. It’s just that sometimes I get a bit lost with all the buttons, but I can live with that. In the end, it’s more my issue—my memory isn’t the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like about Localize is how smooth and intuitive the interface feels—it’s super easy to navigate (UI/UX), and all the integrations just work without a hitch. Performance is solid, everything loads fast, and I feel like I’m getting good value for what I pay (Pricing/ROI). The support and onboarding were helpful too, and the AI features actually feel smart and practical, not gimmicky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, the only thing I’d say is a bit frustrating is that some of the advanced features feel a little hidden or take time to figure out (UI/UX). Integrations are great, but setting them up can be a bit clunky at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
