I love the fact that Axis Care is user friendly to anyone who maybe starting off in the scheduling world. The video appointment feature is incredibly smooth. My clients receive clear links, sessions connect without headaches, and the layout is intuitive for both the provider and the client. I can move from my schedule to a video session in just a few clicks, and everything feels organized and steady. For clients who may not be tech savvy, this matters a lot, and CarePatron has made that part almost effortless.

Billing and invoicing are just as straightforward. Sending invoices takes only moments, and everything is clean, clear, and easy to track. The email system is simple to use and very professional, so clients receive what they need without confusion. Instant messaging inside the platform is another major win. I can quickly and securely touch base with clients, clarify details, or share updates, all in one place, without juggling a bunch of different apps.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

The only thing I dislike is a recent change in the calendar workflow. I used to be able to click directly on the client’s name in the calendar and go straight into the video appointment. About four weeks ago that changed, and now I have to click on the appointment, hit edit, then send, and only then can I get into the video session. It is not a deal breaker at all, but it does add extra steps to something that used to be very simple. If they bring back the ability to join the video call just by clicking the client’s name in the calendar, the experience would be absolutely perfect for me, because I truly love the rest of the program and how easy everything else is to use. Simple, intuitive UI and in built-ticketing system which makes communication to the developer team and customer support very easy. It also has a lot of automations which reduce the workload of our users significantly. It also integrates very nicely with our billing, payroll and love the new LMS setup. Caregivers being able to take the training directly from their app, and it updates compliance in real time is just amazing!

Verveware is helping us bill our IDOAs, MCOs and DORS clients directly from them (The EVV System) keeping our data consistent and in one place as well as speeding up our billing by 85%.

It is also helping us keeping our caregivers stay compliant with their new learning module integration, from which our supervisors can directly enroll/unenroll caregivers in training. And soon as they finish training, their certificate shows up in Verveware automatically updating the compliance which saves our team hours of time, and also keeps data updated in real time. I find ModMed incredibly useful for quickly reviewing patient charts, which is essential in my dermatology practice. The ease of chart review, especially using the visual body feature, allows me to efficiently assess and compare patient photos from previous to current visits. This capability is particularly valuable as it provides on-the-fly information, which is crucial when I'm out of the office and need to reference patient records. I love the integration with Apple devices, enhancing my interaction and accessibility with the software. The ability to create stickies for counseling and recommendations facilitates efficient documentation and communication, streamlining my workflow significantly. What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find incorporating attachments into ModMed cumbersome, and embedding them directly into the chart for consultants is not as seamless as I would like. The lack of a hyperlink feature within the body of notes to link directly to corresponding photos or written impressions adds unnecessary complexity to workflow. I also feel that the area reserved for important patient details like allergies, blood thinner use, and other critical information is not prominently displayed, which could improve through a more visible interface. The absence of color-coding for different types of visits also reduces the clarity in the schedule and could enhance organization. Searching for other HISP direct mail users and their addresses isn't as intuitive as expected. It would be beneficial if ModMed could support dot phrases similar to those in Epic, allowing for more efficient shorthand note-taking. The limited functionality of native phrases in EMA, and the inability to copy or utilize phrases from others, further restricts efficiency. Lastly, the transition to using ModMed was made difficult by the lack of adequate time with experts. What do you like best about Raintree Systems?

We’ve been using Raintree Systems as our EMR at Circle Creek Therapy since 2021, and it’s been an invaluable tool for managing our clinic’s operations. One of the standout features is the "Follow Ups" system for billing and troubleshooting. This feature has streamlined our billing process by allowing us to easily track unpaid claims, outstanding balances, and any issues that need attention. It helps ensure nothing gets overlooked, saving us time and reducing the stress of managing billing.

The system as a whole offers a robust set of tools that make scheduling, intake, and reporting efficient. The scheduling system is flexible, the intake process is smooth, and the reporting functionality provides great insights into both patient care and clinic performance. We especially appreciate the transparency and insights the reporting provides, making it easier to track productivity and outcomes.

On top of all the great features, Raintree’s customer support is fantastic. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Carrie Myers, and her support has been outstanding. She’s always been proactive, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive, making a huge difference when we need troubleshooting or guidance.

What do you dislike about Raintree Systems?

While Raintree Systems has been a valuable tool for our clinic, there are a few areas that could be improved. One of the biggest drawbacks is the upcharging for new features. Some of these updates feel like basic enhancements that should be included as part of regular updates, rather than being treated as premium features that come at an additional cost. This can be frustrating, especially when the features seem essential for keeping the system up to date with current industry standards.

Another issue is the software's user interface. While functional, Raintree's design feels a bit dated—what I jokingly refer to as "Windows 95 chic." The interface isn’t as modern or streamlined as some of the newer software options available today. This can make the system feel less intuitive and harder to navigate, especially for new users who may be accustomed to more visually appealing and user-friendly systems.

Additionally, the implementation and onboarding process has been inconsistent. The support we’ve received during the onboarding phase has been minimal, and it hasn't always been clear or comprehensive. I use Therap as a business admin. This is the worst, most user unfriendly software I've ever had the displeasure of using. Simple tasks are frustratingly difficult, the menu is outdated and clunky. They have an entire library of "how to" videos.... Helpful right? Wrong! The search function litters your results with unrelated content that you have to sift through yourself. Also, what other platform do you use that a library of how to do simple tasks (track meds, assign staff, etc) is even necessary? Our employees hate it, I hate it, our owner hates it, but because it's the software the state "recommends" we have to use it for compliance reasons. It's also very overpriced. If you're getting into a field of work where using Therap is necessary, I hope you have more patience and free time than I do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CareVoyant?

As our agency's IT Administrator, I am in CareVoyant most of the day between CV Hosting/Cloud/"Back Office"/"Main Application", CV Web/Clinical, & CV Mobile because we are still working through configuration & issues.

We went live for 1 line of business in June 2025 & our other in Aug 2025. CareVoyant is very customizable which is great for our very diverse branches & unique business operations. Previously we needed an EMR for each branch which was a pain keeping 2 patient charts for shared patients. We have some overlap between our branches, but each line of business operates very differently (different services, payor sources, billing requirements, payroll policies, etc.). After a lot of configuration, we were able meet almost all of our needs (we are still configuring things).

Support normally responds very timely. Even if it's just an update letting us know it's been seen & is being worked on & normally doesn't close tickets without a confirmation from the user that their response fixed our issue. So far, I have been very impressed about how they listen to & how quickly they implement enhancement requests! It's in a matter of weeks or months which is amazing compared to our previous EMRs which would take years or never.

Our agency covers 10 counties in our rural community so spotty cellular service something we deal with a lot, so we love the Offline Mode option that is the exact same as the live/online site/app.

One of the huge benefits of CareVoyant is that each agency gets a training/test environment at the beginning to test features & train staff & you keep the Test Environment after your Go Live to test new internal process changes, test new system features, or train new staff without affecting your live Production Environment. This allows us to provide hands on training to new staff, fix gaps in new processes, & adjust processes for new features without impacting our live data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CareVoyant?

Because CareVoyant is so customizable, implementation took way longer than expected & we were not given a realistic timeline. We had coordinated termination of our previous EMRs & were not able to push our term dates back so we couldn't push our Go Live back as far as we needed to which caused us to go live with our 1st branch when the system was not fully configured. Due to all the extra work to configure the system, we did not have enough time to create or customize provided guides or train our staff as fully as we needed to which caused a lot of additional confusion as our key implementation team was focusing on fixing critical setup & figuring out what was a training/education issue & what was a system issue. As we ran into things that needed to be configured, we also didn't have the time to internally decide if we need it customized or if we should adjust our process. We started implementation 5 months ago, we've been live for 3 months, & are still finding & fixing configuration issues. All that being said, I do truly believe this switch was worth going through this very VERY rocky implementation, so if you need an EMR that is very customizable, I do recommend CareVoyant but give yourself longer than you think your need or that CV says you need to give your agency enough time to properly configure, test, & train before your go live.

We have had issues with support fixing incorrectly due to support assuming things & making changes without confirming or a change being made incorrectly because a setup change was only done in some areas of the system but not all. When you contact support, be very clear about what you need & if you want them to confirm understanding before they make changes. I'm our agency's IT Admin so as I'm getting more comfortable with the system settings & the steps that need completed, we're doing more changes in house & our support tickets are becoming more geared towards "how do I do this" instead of "please do this for us" which is also reducing those types of misunderstandings & issues.

CareVoyant is in the process of moving their system from the old CV Hosting/Cloud/"Back Office"/"Main Application" system into the new CV Web & CV Mobile system so the system is still very clunky & segregated which makes it not very user friendly, but they have most things moved into the CV Web/Mobile & will start working on simplifying & combining screens once everything is in the web so the user experience will be drastically improving as features are moved. What problems is CareVoyant solving and how is that benefiting you?

Because of all the customization abilities:

*We are able to move 2 of our branches into 1 EMR under their own Facility.

*We are able to fit our unique business needs (services, billing, payroll, etc.).

Because we were able to implement 1 EMR for 2 of our 3 lines of business:

*We don't have to keep 2 patient charts for shared patients.

*Our care coordination has been streamlined & improved for all of our patients but especially for shared patients.

Because we have Offline Mode is the same as the live / Online Mode:

*Our field staff have minimal interruption in poor cellular areas in our rural community.

*Our field & office staff don't require continued education on how to uses a backup/offline version of the system for poor service areas or outages in the field or office.

The initial setup was complicated due to the need for back end structure, requiring a lot of data input, and things sometimes not triggering right away because of issues with the system settings.
