Alora is easy to use and it holds a ton of information in one place. We do all of the computer charting for our patients and all of the scheduling. We also keep all of the employee records in Alora. AloraMail is great because it's HIPPA compliant and we can attached nurses notes for corrections. I love that Alora sends a text to the nurses when they have an AloraMail message to view. Another thing that I like is that Alora is highly customizable. The very best part of Alora is the customer service. They are all outstanding and I almost never have to wait. When you want to look at a long list of things like patients or medications you have to select the option to view more than 10 items per page every time you go to that list. So when I'm updating a med list I open one to fix it then go back to the list and either select to see more or remember what page that med was on.
I use the pediatric assessment a lot and it's long. It has a lot of pages that I don't use because all of my interventions and goals are in the Plan of Care. It seems like the assessment is modeled after OASIS even the "non-oasis" adult assessment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest reason we got Alora was to start computer charting for the nurses. As a small company, we started with paper charting then quickly realized we needed a more sustainable system. I work in the finance department with my company and we use this program to help produce claims. Over the last year, we have moved most of our note filing to be done on CareVoyant and this is very helpful to have everything is the same program. I also like the fact, that if a function/program is not working well for us, we can contact CareVoyant and they are able to help figure out the solation and tweak that program. Our company has recently updated our CareVoyant and I am now having to adapt to new windows. Also with the functions that we use, in order to look up a note, you have to look through multiple pop-up screens and they don't stay up at the same time. The pop-up screens are very large, so it is hard to see everything that I am working on. We use the Inquire screen a lot and with the most recent update, it is not very user friendly. My department produces the charges for each claim and prints the claims off to be mailed out. We also have to gather the therapy notes and oversee if the therapy has notes attached to all of their scheduled appointments. Our company just recently started to use the scheduling function for our therapist and this has become very helpful for the billing department. I can look to see if a patient is still coming or if they have been discharge. Before we were using a totally different system for the therapist to enter notes and we have to manual input all of the charges. ChiroTouch is very easy to use! However if you do happen to have questions about anything, you can use their super nice chat feature to get help! I also have had the privilege of working closely with Joy M. She handles our billing. She is always so quick to respond. She also helps teach me new aspects of ChiroTouch so that I can answer my own questions and help my staff better! I'm really impressed with the clean look of the software and the very organized lists. Not cluttered and I can easily sort lists to find the information I need to see. Very simple to use and very straightforward processes. It's not overwhelming to look at and the To Do List is a huge help for me. I can see everything pending without having to do a lot of research inside of charts which usually requires a lot of navigation. Some clients have a lot of programs. When converting, it takes a while to convert. For example, if a client has 60 programs or targets to go over. It takes around 3-5 minutes to load before submitting note. Furthermore, towards the end of the session all the targets I logged for my client got deleted. This rarely happens to me. Brightree lags far behind other retail software when it comes to mobility, ease of use, and point of sale interactions. It makes retail-focused business second-guess the expense of the software in favor of the numerous other solutions available on the market for far less money. The software was originally designed for Internet Explorer only and just recently became compatible with other browsers. The point of sale software is Windows-only and has no true mobile element. Credit card processing is locked in with a provider that is slow-paying and has poor back-office access. Not a huge issue, but we had asked about this shortly after implementation when we had a user in error logged in as someone else who had jumped in to work at a station and we noted a user could be logged in multiple times in multiple places. We would like to have controls which would only permit the user to log in 1 x and not be able to go over to another workstation and log in a second time - permitting them to be logged in two places. For example with our EMR we are able to have it "force out" the log in on the other workstation if the team member logs in from another workstation to prevent multiple log in per user at any one time.
