## VidGrid Reviews
  ### 1. Clunky Editor, Bare-Bones Support, and a Product Being Sunset

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid is a standard video content management system that has many of the features you would expect. In my experience, it has handled terabytes of video and what I would consider medium volume usage without any issues.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

VidGrid’s video editor is clunky, but it gets the job done. Additionally, as a result of being bought out by another company, their support staff is extremely bare bones, and VidGrid itself is on its way to being sunset as a product.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not solving any problems as we no longer use it.

  ### 2. Far better tools and services out there...

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberto S. | Assistant Professor of Practice in Finance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Simple tool for video capture and hosting, with some 'bare bones' editing capabilities. Easy to use, but... (see below)

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

The university where I work recently launched an inquiry to replace VidGrid. I have attended presentations by two different vendors, and found both their proposals to be far superior to what VidGrid offers.
Both of the products/services offered include advanced video editing tools, automatic captioning with the possibility to edit them manually, advanced hosting services, in-video quizzes and other interactice tools, close integration with LMS, etc.
In view of these alternatives, I find it difficult to justify the use of VidGrid, unless it was offered for free (as there are similar online services that can be used free of charge).

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Practice recording a few times, and keep videos relatively short. There's nothing as frustrating as finding a problem after a one hour lecture, and then having to start from scratch...
(Update: other vendors provide good tools to edit videos, which makes this particular headache a non-issue).

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whether teaching online or blended courses, I can use VidGrid to rapidly prepare new content to update or enhance the support I give students. Specifically, I don't much update lectures, but I do new solved problems, technical guides, and sometimes even Zoom meetings that I upload as virtual "office hours" to answer student questions. It makes the course seem less "canned" and more customized to students every semester.

  ### 3. Great platform for screen recording

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Treyvor V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid has been very useful for screen recording in our College, and the UI is intuitive and easy to explain to others. It's also been simple to troubleshoot issues with VidGrid.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I'd really like if there was a desktop app version of VidGrid, rather than just the in-browser site. It can be cumbersome for many of our users to login through a browser and then have to open the screen recorder separately on the desktop.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faculty and staff in our College use VidGrid daily for recording lectures and classes. Students also are able to use it seamlessly for projects and other group work.

  ### 4. Great Educational One-Stop Video Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather V. | Instructional Design and Faculty Development Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I love that VidGrid has so many features in one place that take the place of what used to require many separate tools: video recording, editing, hosting, captioning, LMS integration, and quizzing are just a few of the features available all in one platform.

Their support is amazing...enter a question on the chat screen, and someone is answering your question within minutes!

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There are few downsides, but if I have to choose, I would say that it would be nice to have more robust video editing features, such as the ability to record over a portion of the video when information needs to be added at a later date or to edit audio. That being said, part of the beauty of VidGrid is that it is user-friendly to faculty. Adding too many features may make it less so.

I would like to see videos that are embedded in Blackboard copy from one section to another. I am not sure whether this is a Blackboard or a VidGrid problem, though.

I wish it had a screenshot tool with a place to host photos, not just video

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

You will be hard-pressed to find a company with better features and support for the price!

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It started with Closed Captioning videos. That was the biggest problem we set out to solve with VidGrid, and it has been the most reasonably priced solution for that we could find. The added benefits, however, have been that it is user-friendly, so faculty don't mind using it, video is easily edited, they host the videos for us, and it integrates with Blackboard. Perhaps the biggest benefits have been that faculty know they can hold students accountable for viewing the videos by adding questions about the videos that the students are required to answer before viewing to the end and that these quizzes automatically transfer to the Blackboard grade center.

**Official Response from Glenn Oslin:**

> Thanks for the awesome review, Heather! I am happy to say the few downsides you mentioned will be addressed in 2020 (aside from screenshot tool, sorry! Will add to our feature requests). We can't wait to show what we have been working on. Thanks for being an awesome customer.

  ### 5. Great Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle S. | Technology integration specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I love the closed captions, trim tool, quizzes, and chapters.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I wish I could more easily add content in the middle of a video instead of having to split a video, create a new video, and merge the three. More advanced editing would be helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

For video creation and basic editing, VidGrid is a great tool. I think it is a great tool for creating micro-lectures and even doing a flipped classroom model. Students can engage with the video through chapters and questions so you know they are going to get more out of it.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessibility for multimedia with closed captions. Providing students meaningful feedback with the screen recording view. Better online interaction with students.

  ### 6. Software of an exclusive caliber for connection between people.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hilton W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I like VidGrid because it has been extremely satisfying to coordinate a sustainable remote connection, it has definitely taken it for granted that I can make a video call without the connectivity going down. All the tools are well executed and functional. Very good program, I like it.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I don't like that the software is slow sometimes, maybe it is because of the constant updates that the program makes and the hardware is falling behind in performance capacity.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

It is not difficult to use it, I consider VidGrid a very well elaborated program, with solid execution flashes. You can have your company in constant communication through its documents or files. I like it and I know you might like it too.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have simply increased communication and team collaboration to clarify doubts, suggestions or improve projects through ideas. It integrates with many of our devices, making most of them use it as internal support.

  ### 7. VidGrid Enterprise Video for Higher Ed

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason M. | Video Production, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

As a site admin, the best thing about VidGrid is that it is easy to use and requires almost no end-user support. When there is a need for support at the admin level, the VidGrid team is responsive to requests.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I do wish the analytics piece was a little more robust and that we could create more fine-grained permissioning, but honestly, if I had to choose, I'd prefer they continue to devote development resources toward the recorder/playback platform over these administrative details.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

VidGrid doesn't do EVERYTHING some other vendors in this space do, but what they do they do very well. We went with VidGrid for this reason and that it was very ease to get up-and-running, which has probably been the biggest factor for adoption.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to retire an old out-dated MMS server that required students and faculty to download additional media players and enable flash in their browsers. Also, our department was having to be the central repository for all video and faculty were using a wide variety of tools we weren't able to support. Now we have a unified platform that we can support and recommend; we can provide high-quality closed captioning without use of 3rd-party service; the tool is integrated with the LMS so all students and faculty have direct access to it when they need it without having to go looking for it.

  ### 8. Very powerful and versatile video platform!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristofer V. | Assistant Director, Media, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

My favorite feature of VidGrid is their customer support system. Chat is almost always available and live. Just yesterday, I had a query that was not only discussed and solved in real time with one of their support personal, but a question I had was answered with a very helpful screen recording video that was recorded as an immediate response.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Sometimes my organization's needs require smaller, non-essential features that aren't always available. But this is a stretch to call it a dislike. I understand that startups have limited resources and must prioritize their modifications. So really, I'm reaching here for a dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

If your video platform needs require a level up from larger providers, consider checking out VidGrid.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Educational media requires quite a bit of customization and accessibility to features. There's a certain flexibility and that VidGrid provides that allows to expansion and organization capabilities that are not often found in other platforms.

  ### 9. Simple and Affordable Video Delivery

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Senior Technical Writer, IT Manager, Production Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

As with many smaller operations, the best thing about Vidgrid is their responsiveness to requests. Actually, the whole process from describing our use-case scenario, through a trial/demo from them, through making our purchasing decision was really easy and smooth. And then, as we used the product more and more, and thought of additional helpful features we wanted, they were quick to respond and (usually) add those features for us. Their team has been a pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

At this point, there's nothing we've requested that hasn't been provided by them.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a smaller and more affordable platform to host videos for learners and customers. We needed something that would allow us to segment our user base into groups, based on their provider or working group. We needed something that was simple and easy to use, and fit into the previously described parameters.

  ### 10. So easy to use and yet so refined it takes time...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shane A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I love how simple and easy it is to just start recording an audio or video with VidGrid. It took me minimal effort to get started but I do highly recommend the training videos first. Then follow along with them (at least that was helped me learn faster). Probably my favorite thing about VidGrid is after you do a recording you can simply just share this with someone else and quickly. I've recorded and uploaded it to and on YouTube before and VidGrid is faster and cleaner by far.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I do appreciate how simple VidGrid is but in some regards it feels a bit too simplistic. I guess I'd like MyGrid to be laid out with more options. It sounds like I'm not satisfied, its more that I feel like something is missing. Like more editing options to the videos themselves. For instance: If I uploaded a video from a source like Camtasia but then I wanted to make some small edits to the video that would be fantastic. Does this make sense?

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

As I mentioned before in my review watch the Tutorials they are very helpful. Don't hesitate to reach out for help from the staff at VidGrid. They are quick to respond and the few times I needed help they were very supportive.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far I'm still working on my first project but I love how VidGrid has enabled me to show my progress to my co-workers and Supervisor. I've received very helpful feedback which has lengthened the project but they are necessary changes so this was good. VidGrid made it possible.

  ### 11. Most efficient method I have encountered to create videos for students

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Solomon L. W. | Mathematics & Education Department Chair, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid is a quick and easy way for me to create and upload videos for my students. Anytime that they are having trouble with a concept, or I just want to review instructions for using a graphing calculator, I can make a video within minutes to assist them. With distance learning such a large part of what I do now, being able to make videos quickly and efficiently is important. With prior methods, it seemed like it would take an hour just to create a 10 minute video! Once my college adopted VidGrid, and linked it with our SSO process, I definitely started creating more videos for my students because the process was made so much easier.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There is nothing that I dislike about VidGrid.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With teaching math, I can make a video one time to show students steps of doing something on a graphing calculator. If they don't master it the first time, then all they have to do is re-watch the video, or the part of the video where they missed a step. It cuts down on a lot of e-mails trying to explain similar steps. Besides calculator steps, I use my Surface Pro like a "high-tech overhead projector," and VidGrid also allows me to easily create videos where I can show students, and explain, how to solve a problem. They find this method much easier to understand than just reading steps on a piece of paper or out of a textbook.

  ### 12. Solid, Simple to Use, With World Class Service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The high touch customer service is by far my favorite part of using VidGrid. The support staff responds quickly, is extremely knowledgeable, and is genuinely very nice. They have consistently helped us through complicated self-inflicted support issues, and will consistently go the extra mile to ensure we're running at peak performance.

I'd say the simplicity of the platform comes in a very close second. VidGrid is powerful yet refreshingly easy to use. They avoid impractical and unnecessary features often touted by their competitors, and instead deliver a reliable service that just works.

Lastly, I LOVE the integrated captioning features, which have helped us maintain legal accessibility compliance for several years now.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I think VidGrid would benefit from adding adaptive encoding to help ensure streams to remote locations run even more smoothly.

It would also be nice to have more user levels, like a super-admin, and various tiers of contributors.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

I recommend having a conversation with one of their reps. VidGrid began to shine for me when I started to get to know the people behind the operation. They're a friendly and empathetic group that provided me with the information and ideas that I needed to make a decision, which, quite honestly, was easy. If you've ever looked at any of their competitors, you'll quickly breath a sigh of relief when you take at look at their UI and feature set. You'll then move to smiling from ear to ear when you start interacting with their staff. Good people!

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run our entire course lecture content for the university through VidGrid and use it for hosting, recording, captioning, and integration with our LMS. We initially brought it online to host and stream course lecture videos for our online programs. We now also use it to stream on several public platforms, as well as internally for trainings and staff orientations. It's a robust tool that has let us do a lot!

  ### 13. VidGrid is an essential tool for Higher Ed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J Cody M. | Director Of Instructional Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The in video quizzing, sleek interface and LMS integration make for a fantastic product. I would have to say my favorite feature is the guest link capability, where students can click a link and upload a video submission. I recommend this workflow all the time to my faculty. Also, the replace video feature is a huge time saver. No updating links... just replace the video with the new one and keep on going, it is genius!

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There is little we dislike about VidGrid, in fact, I don't know that there is a feature I could even say the word "dislike" about in regard to this company.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

We have had huge success with this company. While they may be small, they are constantly working to enhance the user experience and provide the product that you need. Small in this instance is great, because it gives you a loud voice in the development of new features. Service is unmatched and the support team is also exemplary.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VidGrid has streamlined student video submissions in Canvas, it has created the potential to assess students via video with the quizzing features and it has provided us with ways to create training opportunities for staff (outside the LMS) to really be seen as innovators in our field. The captioning service is on target and helps us assure we are meeting accessibility standards with our video content. VidGrid makes it easy to host videos, share them and manage them.

  ### 14. An Easy Way for Instructors to Provide Feedback to Students

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid is incredibly easy to use! You can use it as a screen recorder, and customize the size of the screen. You can use it for webcam recordings alone or have a webcam video inside the screen recording. Of course you can resize the webcam video and move it around. This makes answering questions and providing feedback to students so much more personal. The entire recording process is so simple, it doesn't take long. Getting the videos to others is easy as well, you just send the link. As all your videos are kept in one place, you can reuse them or go back and edit them.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

The only thing I would ask for, is more editing capabilities - like adding music. But, the simplicity of the editor also makes for non-complicated editing.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

This is a terrific screen/webcam recorder with a hosting site - an excellent communication and teaching tool! Note that you can get closed captioning and it has been very accurate.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I teach approximately 75 students per semester, and there are often questions about projects I cannot answer in class. I can very quickly make a VidGrid video and post it for the entire class. With the screen recorder I can demonstrate how to use a music notation program, for example. I often make personal videos for students to give them customized feedback. The greatest benefit is that it is a very useful communication tool!

  ### 15. Training videos made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikal K. | Director of Residence Life, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2016

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid makes creating short training videos and tutorials so simple and easy. One of my office's main responsibilities is managing student housing - and we use an online system for students to find roommates and select their room. With VidGrid, we can share short videos to assist students with the process - making the whole process more efficient for everyone!

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Not much to dislike -- so easy to use! I do need to take some time to learn more about their captioning options and editing.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

You'll be amazed at how much time you'll save by utilizing VidGrid!

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In addition to housing sign up tutorials, I also use it to make short training videos for my staff. That way they can view the training when they need it -and as new staff start, they can get caught up to speed quickly.

  ### 16. Easy to use and Clean video recoring software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikey B. | Student, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The fact that getting started and teaching people how to use the software is easy and simple. It is built in a way that makes sense to most all users and when people don't understand they can pick up on it quick.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I would love to see a feature in which we could take input from multiple different cameras and angles to make press-conferences or interview like scenarios easier to accomplish.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Look up some of their tutorials before you start as it will get you on a very good starting point with the software and you should be able to learn all that you need to get you started off making content.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to record videos for classes and other projects in a simple and quick way that looks high quality and professional.

  ### 17. Love VidGrid! So glad we are partnered with them.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy A. | Instructional Designer, Office of Learning Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

We moved from another video platform this past year and I can't tell you how pleased we have been with VidGrid! It's so easy to use. We love the maching captioning feature as this is very important for our college. We are just getting started with VidGrid so we are excited to use more of the features, like quizzing, in our LMS. Support has been amazing! I would highly recommend checking out VidGrid if you are contemplating a new video provider!

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Nothing really. We have found that support is great and responsive when we have needed them.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were needing an easier tool for our faculty to create and share videos with their students.

  ### 18. Game changer for our Training Department

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | Director Of Training, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid gave our team and operations a platform to easily record video to capture process and "how to" content, but more importantly it has helped our organization work with remote employees and improve engagement across the enterprise.

Plus the customer service is second to none, I am not that techy and they have helped me become a power users with the online tutorials and the instant help from their support team.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Nothing at this time, can think of anything that I would ask to improve upon.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

If you start with a pilot after a few moments you will want to roll it out to your entire organization. They were great to work with and helped with the implementation at every step in the process.

Game changer for our team and the amount of other groups and teams that want to use this as a tool to help support their parts of the business is staggering. We can't roll it out fast enough.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capturing our organizations knowledge into an easily view-able and digestible media format.
Improve engagement with remote employees and teams

  ### 19. Great video sharing tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The simple interface is among my favorite features. VidGrid has some powerful features, but doesn't come across as intimidating.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There have been a few times that I have run into an upload limit while trying to save video from a longer event.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

The VidGrid team has been awesome when it comes to support and answering questions. I highly recommend reaching out if you have questions prior to signing an agreement, and they're always seeking feedback and feature requests from users.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to host videos that might usually be uploaded to YouTube in a more controlled setting. This allows us to grant individual users access to them without the need to share passwords.

  ### 20. VidGrid - The future of Educational Videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike G. | Media Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid has a lot of basic tools that allow for quick and easy screen captures. VidGrid can also be integrated into multiple LMS and allow graded quizzes created on the videos. Adding closed captions (at a reasonable price) is very quick and easy to do as well. The Guest Recorder feature allows instructors to let students use VidGrid within the instructors account, which can keep all video recordings for a class organized and managed easily.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There isn't multiple bitrate for video playback, but I'm pretty sure VidGrid is planning to add this in future versions.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

If you are looking for a video solution for hosting and creating screen captures (or uploading other video content directly) at least get a trial of VidGrid to see if VidGrid can work for you. I've been very pleased with the support (very quick responses) and I believe that VidGrid is going in a very good direction as they continue to add features and tools to their software.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing our instructors to create screen captures, make minor edits, add captions and easily embed the video into our LMS without the help of any of our support people. Instructors can quickly add and create videos 24/7.

  ### 21. Vidgrid in community college setting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** H b. | Media Tech, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

We use Vidgrid in our community college to easily upload videos to our LMS. Vidgrid offers an easy way to upload, edit and manage videos for busy instructors. They also have awesome response on their chat help. I love the analytics provided on how many views a video has received. It helps track popular videos and what sections are being viewed.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Everything I have tried to utilize on Vidgrid has been to my liking. I don't see anything I would change. Overall quality is great and the service is user friendly. Tutorials are helpful. The Editing side is a little light but for most purposes it serves its purpose.

One time I tried to upload a longer video that was too large and I had to break it into two videos but other that that everything is fantastic.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Vidgird is a quality video hosting platform that offers a variety of user friendly tools to enhance your video content. It is easy to navigate and the tutorials offer great help to new users. If there is still a question you need answered the chat assistance offers great and timely assistance. Great product.

I am a fairly new user and the learning curve has not been difficult. I am able to do what I need easily and without a lot of hassle. It uploads quickly and shares easily. It's simple and easy to use while offering a great service! Thank you!

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating instructor intros, class videos and recorded lectures that can all be embedded in our LMS. We are reaching students in new and exciting ways so that we can make their education personal, unique and fun. Students use the platform to record information for their classes offering amazing opportunities for distance and non-traditional students to excel.

**Official Response from Glenn Oslin:**

> Thanks for the awesome review, Hilary. We are so ecstatic that VidGrid is able to hit all the needs at your community college! Please let us know what we can do to get you up to a 5 star for your next review.

  ### 22. Simple is key

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hillary C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The software is incredibly simple to use. I am not a tech-savvy person in the slightest, yet our IT folk were able to easily help me learn the software. VidGrid has been able to bring many tools into one, easy to use, package. Before this I would record, edit, and share all through different tools and would often need to reach out to our IT people to help me as it was a lot to remember, but I have not had that issue since switching to this software.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Sometimes I feel as though the software is slow. This, however could be my University's end of things. Other than that I have not had any problems with the software!

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able share and record videos easier than ever before. I always hating these sort of tasks, but haven't had a problem since we got VidGrid.

  ### 23. LOVE IT! Saved our classes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine B. | Instructional Designer/Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

We started looking at VidGrid for captioning but soon found that it has a host of options. My favorite thing is that it is simple yet powerful depending on what you are needing at that moment.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

We seem to have some trouble with integration/authentication in Canvas with a Mac.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving all our on campus teaching online in fast order is the newest problem.

Before this we were using it to house and organize video resources, caption, embed quizzes, basic editing, etc.

  ### 24. Great Video CMS platform for Small Colleges

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Great interface and functionalities. Full integration with Canvas LMS. Easy on the budget. User-friendly captioning services.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There are some minor flaws with the recorders when recording multiple sources of audio - but to be fair, it is still a lot better than some of the other products/platforms I've used.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vidgrid completely eradicated our need to host video media on-site. It has minimal but practical security features for our use case, user-friendly interfaces, and it is budget-friendly especially for small colleges. It has become a core piece of our online/distance learning infrastructure.

  ### 25. Great and Clean

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The simplicity of how the recording software works and is integrated with the online webpage software, how it is easy to share and edit videos and folders of videos with multiple people.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Sometimes the software that you see when recording can be a bit too simple for some users and they aren't sure where to start. This is always easily remedied after showing them how to use it and they pick it up like riding a bike every time after

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

This is a great software that is easy to use and no matter the tech-knowledge level of the person you are working with they will be able to pick up and use this product with ease.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to help my team create better marketing and lectures

  ### 26. Easy, Simple, and Powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin S. | Associate Professor of Music Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I use VidGrid on a weekly basis to upload instructional videos for online teaching. VidGrid is incredibly user-friendly and easy to use. Simply drag and drop to upload and then it begins to process videos. I am also incredibly impressed with the integrated machine captioning of videos as well as the interface for editing and correcting captions. The caption typeface is easy to read.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There is nothing that I dislike. The software works exactly as I want it to.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am capturing videos for delivery within an online learning management system.

  ### 27. Great looking and working Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor S. | Advanced Technician, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The clean look for both the site and software. It is easy to look at and see what you are doing and what you want.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Wish there was an option for co-ownership of videos so multiple people could have equal total access to videos. EDIT: Getting this functionality was misunderstood by our team, it is all available by giving them editing permissions which is not inherently given to videos that have been shared in a folder, you have to also explicitly give them editing permissions on the videos inside.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Try out the software and make sure it works for you but it does cover most all of our needs.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Classroom recording for both students and teachers.

  ### 28. VidGrid, faculty AND support techs love it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valerie L. | Director, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid has a user interface that is very easy to figure out or train on. Most faculty members need extensive instruction on new digital tools, but with VidGrid, it usually isn't needed. For those that do need it, VidGrid has THE BEST training of any digital tools I currently support. The interactivity and social (commenting) features are fantastic and my faculty are adopting it and requesting access at a fantastic rate! Support has been nothing less than a 10, I love the the chat is available whenever I need them and if they aren't online, they reach out to me quickly.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

My only dislike is that when the site is busy, you can have some slow rendering times.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This started as a tool to house videos for our online courses but has grown into so much more. We now use this for HR training videos, in-house technology training, and student projects.

  ### 29. Spreading the Word

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Our college recently purchased a subscription to VidGrid. I signed up for an account and found it very easy to use. There are tutorials for those who don't want to learn by just clicking around. It loads quickly and has nice features. One of the things I really like about it is the captioning feature with manual editing capability. I had a deaf student who struggled with vocabulary. During class, she had to split her attention between me and the sign language interpreters. I started recording and captioning lessons for her. She could play them and slow down the speed in order to read the captions. She ended up getting a 96% on her government test because she had access to this resource.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I wish the caption colors could be changed at will. Visibility can be affected by the color of the background.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Contact support if you have any questions or just play around with it. It's easy enough to figure out, and my students really appreciate having the resource.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a great tool for students with disabilities. I mentioned the deaf student above, but I also have students with reading barriers. Being about to listen to a lesson and get a visual at the same time really helps. It's all part of that Universal Design for Learning idea - multiple pathways to information for multiple learning types.

One more thing that helps a lot is how this supports students who can't always attend face-to-face classes. The audio makes the lessons more personal and the screen recording helps the student miss less content.

  ### 30. Excellent Video Platform for Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne S. | Senior Trainer/Instructional Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid makes it easy to share information, teach new tasks, capture the expertise of SMEs, and even retain knowledge during the employee exit process.
You can create a simple informational video, or get creative and add quizzes, chapters, video tags (using the Description field). It is also compatible with our LMS.
The editing functionality is simple and not expansive, but it works very well and does what I need it to do.
The foldering capability makes it easy to share directed information to specific groups and/or individuals.
Above all, the customer service is PHENOMENAL. The entire VidGrid team is extremely responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I pretty much love everything about VidGrid. Any suggestions I may have for future enhancements are minor and have been shared directly with the team.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to capture information more quickly and from a larger group of resources and share it out faster than would be possible with traditional training efforts and information-sharing formats/mediums.

  ### 31. Great program, quality and ease of use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber B. | Church Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I like that VidGrid is easy to work with, as a student I have to record reports and other presentations. These often require videos, powerpoints and other media and VidGrid makes it easy. The recordings are great quality and they are helpful if you run into problems as well.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I do not have anything to add here as I have not had any problems or concerns with this product.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VidGrid has made my remote student experience easier and more productive. Working with groups from a distance can be a challenge but it is easier to create streamlined presentations and work together using this tool.

  ### 32. Easy way to make and store videos for my courses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid is a great way for me to make and store videos for me to use in my courses, especially ones that I teach online. It's important to be able to connect to students in online courses, and VidGrid works seamlessly with Blackboard, which is the learning platform my college uses. I can easily make videos available to students using VidGrid.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I have no complaints about VidGrid. It's a terrific place to make and store videos.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is that I can now connect more easily with my online students by posting videos for them with instructions about assignments, course introduction greetings, etc.

  ### 33. Simple and solid

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul W. | Video and Digital Media Technologist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2018

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid has been easy to adopt, which was key in our generally technology averse user base. The added features have been generally well received, and don't distract from the simplicity of using it as it has developed.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Changes can come quickly, and updates are rolled out quickly - sometimes without prior warning. Occasionally features have disappeared temporarily.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

VidGrid is easy to use and administer, but lacks some features from the larger names. If you need a simple screen recording and sharing system that integrates directly with your LMS without any bells and whistles (other than human captioning) VidGrid is a great pick.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faculty and students are creating videos on their own for educational purposes, staff are creating tutorials and marketing videos, and any content that needs to be captioned can be managed quickly and easily by the creator.

  ### 34. Easy to Implement and Use, Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda M. | Instructional Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Responsive customer support
Clean interface
LTI integration
Machine captioning or ability to upload own or request captioning

We have used other tools to accomplish sharing video across campus and within courses and this tool has been the best. The interface is easy to learn for even less techie users and the end-user experience is seamless. Customer support is responsive and quick. There have been several feature ideas that we have suggested that are implemented almost immediately. They truly listen to customer needs and use that to inform their roadmap.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Nothing significant. Perhaps my two big wishes right now would be if the "allow intranet users to access without logging in" on the video permission settings could be set at the admin account level as default (like many of the other permissions are). We embed almost everything within our LMS so that would save me a click on new video uploads. Second, to allow a creator or admin select more than one video at a time to embed within the LMS via the LTI tool. I often create multiple videos at once that all need to be uploaded to the same course page so that would save me time.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Look seriously at this company over some of the others that have been around much longer. They are innovative, responsive and affordable.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool has allowed us to share professional development trainings, compliance videos, guest speakers and course content easily with the specific users or groups on campus that should have access. It has allowed up to move some courses to blended or online and maintain the instructor presence. It has allowed online students to still give oral presentations. It has allowed us to know who/how much of these videos actually are watched so we know if we really have a critical mass for understanding content.
This tool is so much easier to use than our previous on-prem solution. So much time saved and much better quality of video playback.

  ### 35. Easy and Awesome

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolyn B. | Customer Success Manager, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I love how easy it is to capture detail on video and share with my clients and colleagues. Being able to embed video content into our knowledge base allows us to present a professional image to our clients.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I edit my videos with another program if I plan to publish them online so that I can tweak audio, add still frames and overlay music in the background, then upload them to vidgrid so I can embed them into our knowledge base. A few more editing tools would be great, but might not be worth complicating your product over. I also found your background music was just too loud.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We originally signed up to VidGrid because we needed an easy way to make content for our KB, other products I'd tried prior were just too complicated for my skill level - you totally solved that problem! Since then we've also found it to be an excellent way to communicate amongst ourselves and I find my self recording snippets all day to add weight to a request or increase understanding when reporting problems.

  ### 36. Simple, lightweight, easy-to-use tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Molly B. | Learning Media Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Very easy to use to create interactive videos! Can easily create tutorials for the university with VidGrid. Also really like the educational features that other video tools don't have, such as the in-video questions. I also like that VidGrid offers a couple of editing tools (trim and blur) that you can use to fix any errors without having to take the video to a different program. VidGrid also has an excellent support team that you can chat with almost immediately!

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

It's hard to find something I dislike about VidGrid because I have never had too many problems with the platform. If I had to find one, I would say not being able to make edits to the sound of the video. If there is a lot of background noise in a video then you have to take it into another program to edit that out.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

I would absolutely recommend VidGrid as I do everyday to our faculty members who are looking for a video creation tool. I just think with how easy it is to use that anyone can use it, no matter what their technology level is.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At our university our faculty members are trying to use videos more in their courses, but don't want to take the time to learn a dense program, such as Premiere Pro. VidGrid has been excellent for our faculty members because of how easy it is to create a video. Also, because VidGrid is integrated directly into our LMS, faculty members can easily embed their videos into their course shells without having to grab a link or embed code. I think more faculty are realizing the benefits of videos as learning tools and VidGrid helps make that easy for them to do.

  ### 37. VidGrid is a powerful video platform for educational media uses.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristofer V. | Assistant Director, Media, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I really appreciate the ease of use processing captioning for videos. It sounds like a simple thing, but caption services can be very costly and tedious. For me, having to use a third party for captioning extends the media development process significantly. I also appreciate the full control over file replacement, thumbnailing, etc, while still maintaining share / embed links. Lastly, since we are an educational entity, the use of in-video quizzes as an excellent addition to the feature set.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There are a few things that don't interrupt in the main functionality, but would be ideal. For example, it took a while for the sorting capability of directories to be alphabetical, but can we make the preference stick as a default? Also, I and my organization would appreciate more thorough analytics on the video besides view count type data.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Consider and leverage your knowledge using popular platforms like YouTube and Vimeo, without which there will be a steep learning curve for usage.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved a problem of embedding our custom-made media in our courses. The benefits of full control over the media management are essential.

  ### 38. Easy-Peasy Video Creation!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan B. | Educational Technology Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid makes it simple to create quick videos for the students and faculty I work with. These videos are changing the dynamics of how we teach at my school. If I ever have any questions, the folks at VidGrid consistently respond quickly to offer solutions.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

There's only one thing that isn't great, and from what I hear, it's under development. The student side of VidGrid needs to be a little more robust. What I mean here is that we have some instructors that want students to submit videos in their Blackboard courses. It can be done, currently, through the instructor sharing a guest link. But the process isn't that straight-forward on the student end. Students are recording videos on their cell phones, most likely, and currently, there's not a VidGrid app. That's what we need to simplify the video submission process for students. I know the VidGrid folks know this is an issue, and they're working on it. I'll be excited to see this roll out!

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Push VidGrid for a student-friendly app!

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with faculty who are often unsure where to begin creating videos. VidGrid makes it so easy and is so user-friendly, the fear just sort of dissolves, which makes my job so much easier! Our online courses are also becoming much more dynamic content-wise.

  ### 39. A great platform for engaging videos

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick M. | Trainer, E-Learning, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

It's simple to use and does what it does good. There are other tools out there with more bells and whistles, but that comes at a price in terms of usability. With VidGrid it's simple and does what you need it to. My current favorite feature is the Guest Recorder. It's so simple to send a link to anyone in the world which allows them to record or upload directly into your VidGrid folder. Perfect for class projects or guest lectures.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

The LMS integration with Canvas is good, but still a little flakey with authentication between the systems. I wish there was a tighter system-level Canvas integration rather than just within courses.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use VidGrid almost daily to show someone how to do something. It's a great tool for that, especially when you can record just a limited portion of the screen to maximize what the viewer sees on the recording.

  ### 40. Outstanding Customer Centered Company!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jakie S. | Post Production Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

The best thing about VidGrid is the support available to our team! VidGrid offers reliable services, meets our team's needs, and the staff goes above and beyond to assist us when we have questions, concerns, or ideas for improvement. VidGrid offers everything we need in one place: reliable video hosting, captions, quiz integrations, and content contributor management.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

One downside of using VidGrid is the inability to share new content with your team in one folder that is not the Org Library. However, I was told that this was by design for safety reasons and the team is actively looking for ways to improve the user experience. So in reality, there really are no downsides because the VidGrid staff is always ready to problem solve and do so with a great attitude and spectacular customer service!

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

VidGrid is the way to go if your team needs content management, captions, and quiz integration. The staff is 100% available to answer questions and meet your teams needs. It's a win-win.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VidGrid has not only helped solve the way we manage our video content for online courses but has also given us a one-stop-shop for caption ordering for ADA compliance and educational integration with the innovative option to add quizzes within videos. VidGrid also integrates well with our LMS platform, Canvas, and overall has helped streamline the way we share content. Our team is very thankful for this great company!

  ### 41. Quick & Painless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith P. | Learning Management System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Our limited storage is not impacted by large video files. It's easy to pass the baton to others who might not yet lave their own access.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Sometimes guest recorders get a bit turned around about how/where to get recordings to the account owner, but that's easily trainable.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of being able to spread the power of sharing files across our entire org.

  ### 42. Amazing tool, some learning curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

VidGrid creates extremely professional looking videos that helps me connect with clients on their timeline while also allowing me to get feedback.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

The learning curve to ask questions was really steep in terms of adding questions to videos

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching customers that are generally too busy to talk on the phone but need an update. Training videos for clients

  ### 43. Fast and Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Vidgrid makes it fast and easy to make videos but also to get fast professional closed captions. Closed captions are important to provide inclusive content.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I would like to see more editing capabilities

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The fast professional closed captioning was not available in other video systems and would have taken a lot more of my time.

  ### 44. Great for all students

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tasmin K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I can record a video and easily share it with my professor to get my assignment turned in and edit it after recording and he can make comments to make things easier for him too.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Not much, its overall a very good software. I guess I would say maybe just some slow loading times but that's probably just my slow internet

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

All professors should use this as a standard for handing in videos for student work

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Turning in homework and assignments for classes

  ### 45. It saves time for video editing and uploading.

Nothing at all. To sign in and use an account. may be.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

it is great testing it. I recommend using once at lease.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My university uses it. So, it is easy to use.

  ### 46. Easy and complete

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Logan M. | Advanced Technician, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Ease of recording, uploading, editing, & sharing. VidGrid can easily be shared with and used by those not in our organization.

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

Video sharing needs more roles and to be able to transfer ownership of videos without needing an Admin to get involved in the process.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

VidGrid was adopted by users in a rate far faster than expected. It was welcomed with open arms.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to share videos with anyone without problem!

  ### 47. Easily Generate Professional Results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I like that I don't need to learn to use a complicated audio/video application

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I haven't discovered anything about VidGrid that could be noted as a "dislike"

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

If you have the need to capture screen content and share video, VidGrid is the easiest tool to use. Upload video from mobile devices, request

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to create online training that can be delivered quickly and easily. We've removed the need to have conference calls to review training materials. Instead, we create a training video and insert a question requesting the view to insert their contact information as acknowledgment that they have viewed the content. We can capture video from the field and use to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.

  ### 48. Was the best school software

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

Was great for turning in all interview and mock video assignments for my business major

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

The look of the main software can be kinda weird and not the best but when everything is put online then everything is great.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Great for all students and groups needing to work on videos together

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to easily work with teammates and professors to get assignments turned in and work on making our mock interviews better.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

Learn the product well so you may be aware of all the unique features.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VidGrid has made training at our organization much more effective as video tutorial creation has become the most popular method. Whether we send a short 2-minute video via email to answer a question or create an entire training course in our LMS, VidGrid has made it easy for everyone involved.

  ### 50. VidGrid is the Videographers Vision

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabiela K. | SIM Lab Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about VidGrid?**

I love the simplicity of VidGrid along with the essential tools needed for lecture capturing but most importantly, their support staff is second to none!

**What do you dislike about VidGrid?**

I wish it was free but realize that it's impossible. I wish the machine captioning could understand "okie" talk. I am from Oklahoma and many of our instructors are hardcore cowboys which makes the captioning interesting.

**Recommendations to others considering VidGrid:**

It's a great product and amazing support staff. They are worth the trial. Plus the cost is significantly cheaper than other products we researched.

**What problems is VidGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to upload all our lectures from a previous platform and have been able to have them closed captured. We have also found a way to upload DVD's and share with our other campus!
