"Lytho is a wonderful tool!"
What do you like best about Lytho?

What I appreciate most about Lytho is the transparency it provides to our clients throughout every stage of their submission. It also offers a single platform for both our clients and our team, making sure everyone stays aligned. Additionally, I have to mention how impressive the metrics are that I can generate for leadership—they truly stand out! Lastly, customer support is always quick to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

Unfortunately, it often takes quite a while for the updates we need to be implemented in Lytho. Our requests are added to a wish list, and unless many customers want the same feature, it can take months for any changes to actually happen—if they happen at all. I also wish there were more flexibility for customers to modify certain features, like the approval statuses for proofs, since the current options can't be edited. "Centralized Feedback Made Easy with Lytho"
What do you like best about Lytho?

I love using Lytho to house all SME feedback. No more chasing down emails, Teams messages, etc. All feedback is housed in one location. Love the deadlines we can set up for each step of the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

I don't care for the new review layout. All comments showing up on the right-hand side is confusing, harder to keep track of where I am at. Also noticing that sometimes if I click on a comment it's not jumping me to that page/location like it should. Also, when submitting a review it's really annoying that I have to make sure I select "all assets" or whatever it is since we mostly work in multiple-page documents. Also having to hit "submit" multiple times is annoying and when introducing new users they typically forget to hit "submit" that last time so then their review isn't complete and I have to ask them about it. Do not like that you are unable to edit a review route after it has started, that has caused some hiccups for us. I also think that collaboration after return should ALWAYS be on. "Creative Project Management with Streamlined Organization"
What do you like best about Lytho?

I really appreciate the creative layout of Lytho; it’s a creative project management software, and its design reflects that creativity. It's easy to navigate, which simplifies managing tasks and projects effectively. What I love most is having everything associated with a project in one place. This centralization is incredibly beneficial as it ensures that all teams, including marketing, sales, designers, LP&E, and digital departments, can view and understand the project's status by looking at the tasks. Everyone can easily access their assets and working files, making collaboration seamless. Additionally, it’s advantageous to look back at previous years and see the work we've accomplished, aiding in both evaluation and planning. Working with the Lytho team for future ideas and trainings has also been great, providing ongoing support and development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

I think the review dashboard has improved but still causes confusion because it doesn't link to the project request form, Stakeholders sometimes have no idea what review is associated to what project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Proofing Process with Lytho"
What do you like best about Lytho?

I appreciate Lytho's intuitive user interface, which is crucial in making navigation simple and effective. The ability to customize with custom views, reports, and review routes is particularly valuable, allowing me to tailor the software to the specific needs of our business. This customizability significantly enhances our workflow by ensuring that the right individuals can review and approve projects, which saves us a lot of time and provides us with accurate information. I find Lytho instrumental in organizing our proofing process for creative assets and keeping all projects well organized, which is essential for managing multiple deliverables across product packaging, materials, and campaigns. The platform has eliminated the chaos of paperwork and excessive email exchanges, essentially streamlining our review process and ensuring we have a record of proper approvals before publishing, which boosts our operational efficiency. Moreover, the onboarding specialist and regular meetings made the initial setup quite easy, allowing us to get up and running quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

I would like the review environment in Lytho to allow me to reference my original notes and the original request submitted. This would ensure that the final output matches what was initially asked for. Although I appreciate the updates and changes being made, this feature is not yet available, and having it would improve the review process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Leigh Choate of Lytho

Thank you so much for your review, Daniel! We especially appreciate your feedback about review navigation. This feedback helps us grow.

"A mature platform with an approachable interface for sporadic and power users alike"
What do you like best about Lytho?

An approachable interface that puts at the center of the experience what most (of our) DAM users spend 99% of their time doing: searching for, selecting, downloading and sharing assets. We provide access to employees and customers alike, and no-one has ever come back saying they don't understand how it works.

Search and AI search are powerful—I don't even bother with our company's internal shared drives anymore if I know (or suspect) the asset is on DAM.

Solid breadth of functionality for administrators, too. Here's a quick selection:

• Tags, tag categories, tag translations, and the ability to create tag menus;

• Custom metadata fields;

• User roles and groups, with role, group and user-level Permissions control;

• Asset collections: organized bundles of assets for easy sharing;

• Asset versioning;

• Approval workflows;

• Custom image presets: upload one source image (e.g. .png 3000x3000), and allow users to select from the original or pre-determined file type/dimension combinations (e.g. .jpeg 1000x1000).

Most importantly, it's fast. The interface reacts very quickly when searching and filtering—doing anything, really.

Starting with using Lytho DAM is a breeze as well. Lytho has a strong onboarding program for administrators, with several sessions over the course of several weeks. Every session gives you some homework that essentially guides you in preparing the DAM for use in your organization (think tag taxonomy and permission structures, for example).

For users, the tool is rather intuitive. However, I would advise to devise your own training program. First, ease-of-use is highly dependent on your tag taxonomy and tagging diligence (although the powerful search function often makes up for any lacking in those areas).

Second, precisely because the platform is so powerful, it helps teaching people the ins and outs of the various ways of searching: "fuzzy search", tag search, tag selection from a menu, and that you can make any combination of these. Many people limit themselves to just using the search bar with "fuzzy" search only. In my experience, teaching them the full gamut in search functionality gives users a huge boost in efficiency and precision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

Literally nothing to complain about.

It might be due to the relatively low complexity of our asset "ecosystem" (although I have no benchmarks), but I never find myself missing any functionality. Everything that I might need as an administrator ánd user is there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps our team organized and working smarter"
What do you like best about Lytho?

Lytho keeps our graphic design and communications team on track and centralizes all of our project information in one place. It’s helped us manage a high volume of work while staying efficient and organized. I love being able to easily refer back to previous projects, and it has definitely improved how we collaborate as a team. The program is much more detailed than other project management systems I’ve used. Being able to build full campaigns is a huge advantage, and the overall organization is significantly better.

I also really appreciate the project tracking. Seeing how many projects we complete in a year clearly shows the amount of work we’re accomplishing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

I’d love to see a visual “wall” or dashboard that shows which projects have been completed and when files are uploaded. Basecamp has a feature like this, and it’s really helpful for seeing what the team is working on. Right now, we can’t easily see what others are working on, so having this kind of visibility would provide more insight and alignment.

Improving searchability would make a big difference. At the moment, you have to type the project name exactly to find it, which can be limiting. A more flexible search would make things much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Leigh Choate of Lytho

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We’re working to improve searchability; stay tuned!

"Project management tool for a Communications and Marketing team in Higher Education"
What do you like best about Lytho?

What I appreciate most about Lytho is the way it unifies creative workflow, proofing, and asset management within a single, well-organized platform. Submitting and tracking creative requests becomes straightforward, and collaborating on proofs is seamless thanks to clear version control. Storing final assets in a central brand library is also a major advantage. The structured review process keeps projects on track, minimizes the need for lengthy email exchanges, and ensures everyone is working with the latest files. This is particularly valuable for maintaining brand consistency and enhancing visibility across different teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

The commenting tools in Lytho often feel unintuitive, which can make it challenging for users to manage feedback efficiently. This is particularly noticeable when several reviewers are participating, as replies may become lost within lengthy threads. Furthermore, the platform frequently produces an abundance of notifications, overwhelming users with a flood of emails and making it easy to overlook important alerts in the midst of the clutter. "Effortless Asset Management, Needs Better Workflow Intuitiveness"
What do you like best about Lytho?

I appreciate using Lytho for its capability to manage brand guidelines, digital asset management, and project management all in one system, which greatly facilitates collaboration with colleagues and suppliers. I find the digital asset management system very easy to use, and I enjoy how the Workflow feature provides a complete overview of a project, enhancing my understanding and management of tasks. Additionally, I value the ease with which I can share assets with stakeholders without needing a separate platform, even when handling large files like videos. The setup process was supported excellently by Lytho, ensuring I could effectively work with the tools provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

I find searching within the digital asset management (DAM) system of Lytho could be improved. Additionally, the Workflow feature isn't always intuitive to work with, which can complicate managing projects effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect Collaboration Spot for Marketing and Design Teams"
What do you like best about Lytho?

I really like how I'm able to collaborate with my team using Lytho. We have a larger size marketing and design team, so it's helpful to have a place where everyone can see which projects we are working on, who is in charge of what aspects, and where things stand in the pipeline. I really like being able to work on creative reviews with my team and collect everyone's feedback in an organized way in Lytho. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

Sometimes it is a little tricky to determine which projects are assigned to me based on the terminology used in the platform, like "My Requests"/"My Projects" vs. "All Projects". It can be a little tricky to determine which projects I've been assigned to help with vs. which projects I asked for based on this layout. But other than that, it's really easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Feedback Consolidation with Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about Lytho?

I appreciate Lytho's capability to consolidate feedback from multiple stakeholders in one place, making it easier to keep track of the project status and share it efficiently with stakeholders. It simplifies the process for them to provide feedback and comment on project drafts. I love the feature that allows me to see who has viewed my review and the ability to notify them to complete it, ensuring that everyone stays updated and participative in the workflow. Additionally, the software's functionality to comment on animations at specific time points and organize those reviews aids significantly in tracking the project lifecycle, providing clarity on project progress and specific feedback requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytho?

I don't like how images saved to comments in the review are now downloaded rather than having a quick view option. Most times I want to view the image without downloading it. The new user interface feels like a step backward, providing less space to view things. I have to spend time closing unnecessary tabs. Additionally, it is not intuitive for new stakeholders to find the comment button, which is actually labeled as the dot button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Leigh Choate of Lytho
