A Game Changer for Our Organization **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Julie B. | Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2023 **What do you like best about Lytho?** Integrating Lytho into our team's workflow has been one of, if not *the*, best decisions we've made. We were previously using a file folder system that wasn't efficient (or digital) and made every marketing request take longer than it needed. Lytho now allows us to accept all types of marketing requests, include everyone needed to review the proof digitally (with convenient markup tools and a comment section), and provide deliverables that are easy to access and download. Our team takes advantage of the various templates and forms you can create to make project management and routing faster. Since first adopting Lytho, we've also implemented various tags/statuses for better organization. The customer service is amazing, and the support team is so quick to address issues. Your assigned customer success manager is also a great resource and keeps in touch to share helpful updates as well as pass requests/concerns on to their development team. In addition to Lytho workflow, we also use the digital asset manager (DAM). Some things we love about the DAM: - Sending upload requests to our photographers for images that can be pre-tagged - Presets that allow us to automatically downsize hi-res images - Pulling photos directly from the DAM into Lytho workflow (and other integrated features) - Easily create new tags when needed **What do you dislike about Lytho?** While Lytho is really reliable and offers great customer and tech support, our team tends to experience issues with pages not loading/throwing errors. We call these "monkey errors" since it includes a monkey image above the text. These happen out of nowhere while waiting on a proof to load or after submitting a review. Even after discussing with our customer success manager, there hasn't been an answer for why these happen. Lytho has refined the review process over time and last year gave the proofing page an entirely new look. Buttons were moved, and for the most part the new look makes sense. However, the review submission options is still a little confusing - especially to users on our campus who don't frequently use Lytho. **What problems is Lytho solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integrating Lytho into our organization has been a game changer in so many ways. It has made our project management much more efficient and improved communication not only among our team but with "stakeholders" or other campus departments. Lytho's DAM allows us to easily share assets within our organization, so we save time no longer fielding those requests and searching for the requested items. We love that photographers can upload images directly to the DAM using pre-tagged links. Overall, it has given us so much time back to our schedule. This would ensure that the final output matches what was initially asked for. Sharing assets is very easy, and I can gain a lot of insight into who is very active and also with what. Furthermore, I greatly appreciate the support from Lytho. **What do you dislike about Lytho?** Sometimes I find Lytho limited in the options for blocking parts/not sharing options, and I miss a functionality that adds or removes scheduled permissions. Furthermore, it is sometimes difficult that you can only 'add' people via permissions, but it would also be nice to be able to 'exclude' people. So certain assets are NOT visible to group x. **What problems is Lytho solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lytho ensures that we can easily share assets, provide worldwide access to colleagues, and directly connect with our PIM system. We have recently been reworking our forms and they have been amazing, helpful, speedy and patient with the process. I gave them a direction, they set up a meeting with me to talk about what we are aiming for, made helpful suggestions and finished within 2 days (even though they said it would take 8 business days). Once they created everything, I realized it wouldn't quite help our clients so I asked if we can review it all again and they were super patient and worked with me to do just that! **What do you dislike about Lytho?** We've worked with Lytho for about 5 yrs now and we have a lot of archived projects now. The integration with Adobe products makes creative design work easier. We switched to Lytho DAM because it allows us to seamlessly upload and download approved assets in Lytho Workflow, and it's more cost-effective. Task assignments are extremely helpful for seeing where projects are in their development life cycle and who is responsible for what. The proof review system is fantastic for collecting feedback on digital assets. It's also very helpful that the Digital Asset Management (DAM) is integrated with Workflow, allowing deliverables to be exchanged easily without having to upload things multiple times. Additionally, Lytho's team has been very helpful and diligent with onboarding us onto various products like Tempo, Workflow, and the DAM. Lytho's responsive team and customization capabilities really made it stand out to us. **What do you dislike about Lytho?** I would love to see more integrations of Lytho with other services. It's very helpful how the DAM is integrated with Workflow, and deliverables can easily be exchanged between the two without having to upload things multiple times. Photoshop integration would be great, as well as enhanced support for HTML assets. It would be great to be able to upload an HTML file to a proof as opposed to screenshotting it. **What problems is Lytho solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Lytho for task tracking and accountability while managing projects. It provides an environment for reviewing digital assets, with an easy-to-use interface. The task assignments are extremely helpful to track project development and responsibilities, and the proof review system is fantastic for collecting feedback. ### 7. I can set a status on a project myself or change it if I feel that I'm done with it already. For the timer feature, I like that I can turn it on to track how long it takes me to do a project. It does a great job at organizing projects and keeping them in a workflow so I don't have to think about who to send things to. It was really easy to understand for me when I first got here. **What do you dislike about Lytho?** The only thing I don't like is that when you put something into a proof, the default is for a dark screen. It also offers a single platform for both our clients and our team, making sure everyone stays aligned. Additionally, I have to mention how impressive the metrics are that I can generate for leadership—they truly stand out! Lastly, customer support is always quick to respond. **What do you dislike about Lytho?** Unfortunately, it often takes quite a while for the updates we need to be implemented in Lytho. Our requests are added to a wish list, and unless many customers want the same feature, it can take months for any changes to actually happen—if they happen at all. I also wish there were more flexibility for customers to modify certain features, like the approval statuses for proofs, since the current options can't be edited. **What problems is Lytho solving and how is that benefiting you?** Transparency has greatly improved for us. Previously, we received requests through email, which was both distracting and disorganized. Now, everything is consolidated in one place, making it much easier to manage. On top of that, having the ability to access any metric we need has truly been transformative. No more chasing down emails, Teams messages, etc. All feedback is housed in one location. Love the deadlines we can set up for each step of the process. **What do you dislike about Lytho?** I don't care for the new review layout. All comments showing up on the right-hand side is confusing, harder to keep track of where I am at. Also noticing that sometimes if I click on a comment it's not jumping me to that page/location like it should. Also, when submitting a review it's really annoying that I have to make sure I select "all assets" or whatever it is since we mostly work in multiple-page documents. Also having to hit "submit" multiple times is annoying and when introducing new users they typically forget to hit "submit" that last time so then their review isn't complete and I have to ask them about it. Do not like that you are unable to edit a review route after it has started, that has caused some hiccups for us. I also think that collaboration after return should ALWAYS be on. **What problems is Lytho solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better viewing a team's workload. Reviewing/approving content by multiple people in one centralized location. Checks and balances for finishing all required tasks within the deadline. ### 10. It's easy to navigate, which simplifies managing tasks and projects effectively. What I love most is having everything associated with a project in one place. This centralization is incredibly beneficial as it ensures that all teams, including marketing, sales, designers, LP&E, and digital departments, can view and understand the project's status by looking at the tasks. Everyone can easily access their assets and working files, making collaboration seamless. Additionally, it’s advantageous to look back at previous years and see the work we've accomplished, aiding in both evaluation and planning.
