Nonprofits can manage every detail of their benefit auction in real time including guest management, donor and donation tracking, printed catalog, bidsheets and more. RSA offers online ticket & sponsorship sales, mobile bidding during events and online auctions before and after your event. It is a simple software to use. It is very limited. **What do you dislike about ReadySetAuction?** The platform is antiquated. There is very limited ability to design it to be user friendly. The landing page looks like it is from 2004 **What problems is ReadySetAuction solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am not using ReadySetAuction anymore. I use OneCause. The best thing abuot RSA is it was included in our DonorPerfect contract, so in essence it was free for us. As soon as we could afford a better solution, we moved. ### 2. We had a couple times where we added items and then it completely changed the numbering system. It was not the easiest for someone not familiar with programs like this. **What problems is ReadySetAuction solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlined running an auction. We used to use excel and paper and it took a LOT of hours to get everything set up for the auction, and also lead to a number of mistakes. Ready Set Auction was worth it to have all of that in one program. ### 3. That is really simple and a breeze. I also really like the texting integration it has for online bidding, super simple and effective outbid notifications, and our donors love the "otto" bid feature. **What do you dislike about ReadySetAuction?** It doesn't look great, and we had a few troubles with network at our events (not the software's fault but an issue when relying on it). We also had a few people get outbid notifications when they were not outbid so they were then confused when they won the item. **What problems is ReadySetAuction solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main reason we went with a software was so that we could easily collect credit card information to assure a smoother, and more complete check out of guests. So far so good! ### 4. It doesn't have too many extra bells and whistles, but still advanced in what it can produce for you. **What do you dislike about ReadySetAuction?** There is a lack in customizability, and some features were not applicable to our auction so we had to work around those or ignore certain fields in the system because we weren't going to need those fields. Otherwise not too many complaints. **What problems is ReadySetAuction solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solved our problem of needing a streamlined, central system to log the auction winnings at our annual gala. It also solved our major problem of needing to store a guest's credit card upon check-in, so we didn't need to chase anyone down for checkout. their card was already on file. That was a life saver and made my job so easy this year! A big benefit was allowing guests to be able to just leave the event, and I could run checkout from my desk on Monday and make sure it all looked correct. ### 5. My company switched from Greater Giving to ReadySetAuction this year for our Fall Festival and Silent Auction and what a difference did it make. RSA saved me so much time this year, all I had to do was put the correct information in and the software did everything else for me (no more days of having to type the same information 3 different times in 3 different places). This software is EXTREMELY user friendly, their customer service is top notch and the price is right. Another benefit for me was it's compatible with DonorPerfect! I would highly recommend this to anyone! **What do you dislike about ReadySetAuction?** I really have no BIG complaints about this software. My only hiccup was that you can't have 2 packages with the same name (for instance, we do a silent auction of gift certificates and if you have 2 gift certificates for the same place and same amount but you want to separate them, you have to change the name of the second one slightly, even if that means just putting an extra space). **What problems is ReadySetAuction solving and how is that benefiting you?** Saved us time and money! ### 6. There is no coding involved. You can set up your sponsors, packages and bidders fairly easily. I love that you can run easily set up and manage an online auction in lieu of or in addition to a live or silent auction. You may establish maximum bids, set “buy it now” thresholds, etc. It is highly flexible. **What do you dislike about ReadySetAuction?** It's among the more expensive options. I also wish you could utilize the software for a longer period of time after the event. **What problems is ReadySetAuction solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a way to set up and manage an online and in-person auction event for a non-profit. This allows us to easily do so. And it allows us to have multiple individuals perform functions of varying levels of complexity without requiring massive training. ### 8. The correspondence is also a great feature, to be able to invite, thank, and invoice folks. **What do you dislike about ReadySetAuction?** I HATE that the auction catalog is only visible for a two week window. We work so hard as a committee to solicit donations - we want to be able to make them visible as soon as the items are received to give our donors some exposure and build excitement for our program. The excuse as to why it costs an additional fee are weak - the software is already housing the data and information. **Recommendations to others considering ReadySetAuction:** Make sure your team is ready for it, I got considerable push-back from other volunteers on using this product. **What problems is ReadySetAuction solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a parent volunteer, it solves the problem of handing off information year to year including donors. The software more importantly saves time to give our committee a one-stop-shop where we can all work in real time. ### 9.
