"Muy buen aopcion"

What do you like best?

What do you dislike?

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Buen software para mejorar tus habilidades

"PTC + Radeon User"

What do you like best?

Software is easy to use and simple for design/CAD like workloads. Intuitive controls.

What do you dislike?

The UI is a bit dated, but that's with most design/CAD like applications, SOLIDWORKS and other applications are similar.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Online tutorials will help immensely

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Learning how our graphics products can better accelerate professional workflows for engineers and designers. With the Radeon Pro product line, these professional graphics are designed for workstation solutions. We worked closely with many professional applications, testing and learning the ins and outs to better optimize our graphics performance. We tested Creo as one of them, both on the engineering side and marketing side to also generate content. This product is a great application for professionals working with workstations and CAD-based workflows.

"Creo Elements is great for Engineering Teams"

What do you like best?

I love that our Engineering team has access to some of the most powerful software in their field. I never receive tech support calls from the team, because the software just works.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the licensing server configuration for floating licenses. There should be more documentation on how to configure everything. It seems very confusing when you first read the current documentation, but it is really quite simple.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Simplify instructions on deploying floating license.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Engineering team needs this software. Hands down.

"not happy with Drafting"

What do you like best?

Some of the parametric capabilities and some of the features like ISO view. Part idea is not terrible.

What do you dislike?

Requires a lot of macros to automatize simple operations

Unable to switch selection mode by dragging mouse from left to right and from right to left.

Unable to lock the parts - this is huge issue that might cause a big problem! user can accidentally move the part in the assembly (when working at the top level) just for tiny bit and never catch it! and if you try not to work at the top level then good luck with pulling dimensions between different sub parts!

It uses its own macro language instead of normal VB or C or whatever the industry standard is - I think it is a con.

In summary we all almost hate Drafting here and will be switching to something else, especially considering that there are many other 2D CAD packages given away for free these days and PTC still charges a lot of money for their crappy unfinished product.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Think twice - there are free 2D CAD packages available that could do same things!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

tool design and manufacturing

"Creo sometimes difficult to use"

What do you like best?

I enjoy that the software is extremely useful if you know how to use it.

What do you dislike?

The down side is that it takes a long time to learn and it is hard to adjust to.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Drafting used to design - only used for one class

"Pretty good software, but I've used better "

What do you like best?

It is easy to use and very learner-friendly. Not super advanced but can get the job done.

What do you dislike?

Has limited capability, and it's hard to make complex drawings. I prefer solidworks.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Not a bad software but solidworks is much more universal and has more capability for the type of work you'd be doing on this program.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use creo when we need to make a specific file type that solidworks can't do.

What do you like best?

Very powerful, does everything I need it to do.

PTC isn't supporting it very effectively or adding many new features.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

2D drafting, engineering drawings, etc.

"CREO as your CAD software"

What do you like best?

This cutting-edge of CAD package suite is very intuitive and all works together. Open non-native CAD data and collaborate with almost any other standard CAD software.

Very good support for Variant Configuration product and better prototypes.

What do you dislike?

No inbuilt plug in for SAP, henec companies using SAP as their backbone have to look for customized integration.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Maybe your next great product is that one on your desk. -

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

New product design and development.

Very good support for Variant Configuration product and better prototypes.

"Overall worth it"

What do you like best?

It's free software, easy to use for beginners. Very visual and dynamic. Good for direct modeling.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes, there seems to be a ton of options available for what seems to be a simple task. Too many choices

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am learning the basics of mechanical engineering and CAD.

"Good for both product designers and mechanical engineers"

What do you like best?

If there are drawings that were created in many different CAD environments, and you prefer to use one platform for your company to work with those drawings, then use this software.

What do you dislike?

The usage of this software may get complicated if not used properly.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Fitting this software to exact specifications may be a challenge at times.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using it to retrieve information from CAD drawings in 1970s.

"Fully Feature 3D modeling software suite"

What do you like best?

Used in conjunction with Windchill, PTC handles all of our 3d modeling needs.

What do you dislike?

There is a steep learning curve to be able to fully learn the software

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This program can do everything if you are willing to dive in and learn to use it by an extended trial and error proccess

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

All of our applications (modeling, file management, database) work well together as they are all part of the PTC suite
