I mainly use it for parametric modeling, simple assemblies, and preparing designs for prototyping. The timeline feature is especially useful because changing dimensions later automatically updates the model, which saves a lot of time during revisions. The interface feels organized, and once you become familiar with the workspace, everyday design tasks become much more efficient. Having CAD, basic simulation, and manufacturing tools in one platform helps keep the workflow simple and reduces the need to export files between different software. What I like best about Autodesk Fusion is that it brings design, simulation, and manufacturing into a single platform, which makes the entire workflow smooth and efficient. I can create a 3D model, make quick design changes, and directly test or prepare it for manufacturing without switching between multiple software tools. The parametric modeling feature is especially helpful because it allows easy edits even at later stages of the design. I also like the clean and intuitive interface, which makes it beginner-friendly while still offering advanced tools for complex designs. For students and engineers, the availability of cloud saving and collaboration makes project work more organized and accessible from anywhere. The best part for me about the fusion 360 is that you can design a whole Electronic components in 3d , also we can design PCBs and use auto routing feature all in single platform. One thing I dislike about Autodesk Fusion is that it is highly dependent on an internet connection for sign-in and cloud features, which can be inconvenient when working with limited or unstable connectivity. Sometimes the software also feels resource-heavy, especially on mid-range systems, causing slowdowns during complex assemblies or simulations. Another drawback is that some advanced features are locked behind paid plans, which can be limiting for students or individual users who want to explore deeper CAM or simulation capabilities. Occasional updates also change the interface slightly, which takes some time to adjust to. And the last and most important drawback is its platform fees! Autodesk Fusion solves the problem of having to use multiple separate tools for design, testing, and manufacturing by bringing everything into one integrated platform. From an electronics perspective, it helps in designing accurate enclosures, brackets, and mechanical parts for electronic projects such as sensor housings, control boxes, and PCB enclosures. Being able to visualize dimensions in 3D ensures that electronic components fit properly, reducing physical rework and material waste. This has helped me move from concept to a ready-to-fabricate design much faster. For general use, Fusion streamlines the entire design workflow by allowing quick modifications through parametric modeling and validating designs using basic simulation before manufacturing. This saves time, improves design accuracy, and boosts confidence before prototyping. Overall, it has made my project development process more efficient, organized, and reliable. I have been using Solidworks as my main CAD program for a long time and so I am biased, but I find there may be too many steps, in some cases, to execute certain actions in the CAD workflow of fusion. I use Autodesk Fusion for my mechanical engineering projects, and I like its easy user interface, which makes it convenient to model assemblies. I appreciate that it updates versions automatically. It's great that I can access it from any computer and operating system. I also value the integration of modeling, sketch, CAM, and generative design into one platform, as it consolidates the tools I need. With Fusion, I don't need to buy separate CAD and CAM software, which is a big plus. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, with just a small download needed. Autodesk Fusion has an easy user interface and integrates modeling, sketching, CAM, and generative design, so I don't need separate CAD and CAM software. I like that Autodesk Fusion is very easy to use, especially for an automation engineer. It's comparable to SolidWorks, allowing easy addition of camshaft parameters and other measurements. I find it straightforward to put measurements for 3D modeling and writing, or to change materials. It works fine even with a four-core CPU, which is something I think is missing in other software. I also appreciate how Autodesk Fusion is a complete package containing everything needed, including technical, documentation, and 3D CAD. It's really amazing and more structured than Salesforce. I like Autodesk Fusion's parametric modeling, where I can update one dimension and the entire model changes, saving me from starting from scratch and hours of work. It's very convenient having both design and print prep in one place. What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion? Autodesk has been trimming down the free tier, which is pretty sad because less people will have the chance to learn with real world tools as I did.
