"Powerful, Versatile, and Effortless Engineering with Designenter NX"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like the best about Designenter NX is how powerful and versatile it is for real engineering work. Whether its modeling, drafting, assemblies, or validating designs, the tool are reliable and easy to use.

I also like the super-fast implementation capabilities of this software while implementing it into multiple workflows.

I am using this software very frequently almost 5-6 hours a day for design & customization. Also, the Designcenter NX is very easy to integrate with PLM platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

The main thing i find challenging in NX is that some commands can feel overwhelming for new users.

Also , when working with heavy files or complex models, performance can slow down if the hardware is not strong enough, but for this type of issue siemens technical team is always there for quick support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Precise 3D Modeling with Seamless Teamcenter Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

NX/Designcenter is a very powerful tool that helps us with 3D modeling during the product design phase. I really like how precise and detailed its modeling capabilities are, which makes it suitable for everything from simple parts to complex assemblies. With its strong integration with Teamcenter, NX becomes even more valuable for our overall process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

The license cost is high. The licensing is tied to a bundle, and some of the features included in that bundle may not be required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bryce Langhorne of Designcenter

Hi Amrit, we're glad to hear that you find NX/Designcenter to be a powerful and precise tool for 3D modeling, especially during the product design phase. Its detailed modeling capabilities and seamless integration with Teamcenter make it a valuable asset for complex assemblies.

"Advanced Simulations with Integrated Environment"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like Designcenter because it offers an integrated simulation environment with native CAD associativity, which is really useful for simulation tasks. The advanced multi-physics capabilities are a standout for me, especially because they allow handling of complex coupled physical interactions and large assemblies. I also appreciate that Designcenter integrates well within the Siemens environment, which was a key reason my team switched from Ansys. Additionally, I found the initial setup to be easy, making the transition smoother for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Designcenter requires significant learning in the initial stage, especially for beginners who need more training to set up advanced analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Genuine NX User"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

1) Syncronus technology :- parts imported from other software are converted to dumb bodys but it can still be easyly edited in nx.

2) Easy to adapt UI :- beter visulization compare to other softwares.

3) Advance commands / features :- Commands Like Extraction Path, Variational Sweep, blend pocket and many more are designed by considering manufacturing aspects and the needs of the users.

4) Highly customizable:- The Interface of NX is highly customizable and it is also very easy to integrate by adding *dll files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

1) Seperation of Modules:- there are many add on modules and License files which needs efforts to tailor the specific need of the user to get appropriate licenses.

2) Library editing:- It is little difficult to edit the libraries of few of the modules and almost impossible in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient CAD Modeling, Needs Better AI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I find Designcenter really helpful for CAD modelling, especially since it significantly reduces my modeling time for 3D models. I like the synchronous modeling feature, as it's an absolute gem for non-parametric modeling. Additionally, Designcenter is great for handling large assemblies, which was one of the reasons my team switched from SolidWorks. The initial setup was easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

The recent integration of Copilot AI was very good, but I feel like I get non-relevant answers to our prompts. It should be fed and trained with more new actual industrial data rather than theories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Parametric Modeling Excellence with Designcenter"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I find Designcenter's parametric modeling approach incredibly beneficial as it helps us to modify parameters easily. I also like the family parts options, which assist us in scaling product families effectively. It's great that we can generate multiple variants and circuit sizes of the same product family, adding significant versatility to our projects. The initial setup was easy, making it user-friendly right from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

I think Designcenter could improve its AI adoption to help us reuse features. We want to reuse tested features like interlocks across our product families, and if AI could assist with this, it would be very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
