## Ingeniux Reviews
  ### 1. Ingeniux: a powerful content management system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | Web Design Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux provides thorough custom support for each installed instance of the CMS. Instead of trying to patch or add features to an 'out-of-the-box' CMS, Ingeniux is built for your specific needs in mind.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

This is not a free CMS, so the price tag can be heavy for some. Integration with Cartella (Ingeniux's database/Intranet solution) is troublesome and awkward. However, support has been working with us closely.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

For higher education, I highly recommend consulting with Ingeniux. Their team is trained to work well with specific needs in this space and provide your in-house team with a robust solution. 'Out-of-the-box' CMS solutions can work if you want to do everything on your own without a support team but we found they end up using more server resources with all the plug-ins, additional work-arounds and re-engineering needed to make it work.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our college is one of four all united in a District. We needed to unify our brand and build a product that could support many different teams while sharing content globally across multiple websites. Each website has a staging environment, pulls from PeopleSoft for programs and majors, communicates with Socrates for real-time class updates and incorporates Cartella (an Ingeniux database), pulling in around 5,000 employees with their information and photos. We have had complex design, infrastructure and updates to our model and Ingeniux has served us well.

  ### 2. Great .Net CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deaon K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

One of the best features is that it uses the .Net framework. As .Net developers, it's a trusted platform. The CMS is also quick. I've used several .Net CMS systems, and this is one of the best. The updates are typically easy to install. We can maintain high availability with the website and it's blazing fast for users.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

We are currently running version 10. Version 11 will require us to redo portions of our code to allow for .Net core. Not sure when we will have the time to do the updates, but we want to take advantage of the new features in version 11.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

It's a great CMS. The infrastructure is solid in terms of how the backend is designed.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to have hundreds of CMS users creating content.

  ### 3. This software is easy to use and has exceeded all our requirements for a solid CMS.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos F. | Websystems Administrator, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Stable platform and easy to customize. The support is very responsive if there is ever an issue. Our developers say the platform is easy to develop on.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Although the CMS works fine in responsive environmnet, it still can be difficult to use in mobile environment (small screens). This feedback has been shared with Ingeniux and they are working on making it better in future releases.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Solid company with talented staff support. Very responsive to needs and requests. Always looking to the future, but still supporting legacy versions.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offering a full digital experience to our members that is rendered on any device type. Simple to use, doesn't require a programmer to update the site. Fully customizable to meet our needs. The platform itself is very turn-key for new users and easy to learn.

  ### 4. Top Tier Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christy J. | Associate Director, IT Program Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The team at Ingeniux is incredibly knowledgeable about their products and very helpful. They are quick to respond and always willing to jump on a call to help us!

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I honestly can't think of anything. I am extremely happy with Ingeniux's service & products.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have worked with Ingeniux on many fronts: hosting, CMS and development services. Our biggest improvement was moving our web hosting from in-house to Ingeniux really put our minds at ease! We support over 20 websites and did not have the staff resources to manage the hosting aspects for our IT programs. Being a smaller organization, it can be challenging to have enough staff to cover all the various areas of expertise. They've really helped us shore up the gaps.

  ### 6. Small Company, Real People, Customizable Product

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux is a small company made of real people – if you need to talk to someone about something, it's easy to reach Ingeniux's staff by phone or email. They have a very responsive support team. Their product is well-designed and highly customizable. Our organization uses the CMS to manage over 10 websites.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

The account management team can be slow to respond. Occasionally, software updates will be missing useful features that were present in previous versions.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization moved from using multiple content management systems into a single system, thanks to Ingeniux. Our websites are aligned and are able to share content via syndicated components. We are also able to embark on co-development projects with the Ingeniux development team, which has been really beneficial.

  ### 7. Used a custom application built partly on their CMS for a customer-facing business Portal

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

CMS was relatively easy to use for basic Web Pages, and the development services team performed solid work once assiged.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Custom application solution was not flexible nor performant enough and working via an SOW in an outsourced model did not meet our development cadence and timing needs.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The original problem was purchase a hosted, pre-built Portal application for information sharing. However, the application ended up being highly customized. The realized benefits was a Portal that has been used for 4 years now, despite the criticisms it has received from internal and external parties, it has functionally allowed basic, originator-controlled sharing to occur.

  ### 8. Best CMS Out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The CMS is very user-friendly and easy to use. And the support staff at Ingeniux is very swift with support and always helpful and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I have yet to see much of a downside. The improvements that we have experienced from version 9 to 10 are night and day.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

You won't find a better CMS anywhere else on the market.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We provide websites for multiple state affiliates, and we can segregate each one from the others. This makes the user experience great and training their employees so much easier than before.

  ### 9. Ease of use, but support not great

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ease of adding and editing content is great, but the support leaves something to be desired. We've reached out months in advance to start updates and sometimes are left with trying to ge changes made in a week or two and rushing to get an update that isn't complete.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Communication/implementation on upgrade timelines and having a developer understand our system from year to year. Also, the cost for upgrades for our non-profit, even what seems like small changes is expensive.

Training on our site specifically.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better looking website, easier content updates. Better user experience and being able to have sponsor content where we need.

**Official Response from Riley Edmunds:**

> Dear Customer,

We appreciate your feedback. I am sorry that you've experienced issues coordinating with our Support Team. I just sent you a direct way to get in touch with me via email to discuss further. We are always available to hear feedback and troubleshoot any issues you may be having.

Our Support Portal is another great way to get in touch with our team and has a library of product resources and customer-created content.

I hope to hear from you!

Sincerely,
Riley and the Ingeniux Team

  ### 10. Web Developer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I like the Knowledge Base and Monthly Open Office

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Schemas and Templates are less flexible on the hosted instance.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating new websites and require publishing targets for both websites and respective apps.
OUr clients gaining greater options to customize.

  ### 11. Easy to use, flexible system that meets our needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Interface; reliability; customer support

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

XML doesn't work well in our transl mgr.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reusing content is a plus. Output to InDesign for print publishing allows us to compose our books quickly. Translation manager app neatly packages content.

  ### 12. Great Platform for Custom Client Portal

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The Ingeniux CMS and Cartella platform have been great in creating a redesigned digital experience for our clients. The technology is flexible in its ability to integrate with different systems, enabling us to extend our internal workflows to our clients to provide a more efficient experience. As an administrator, I find it easy to manage the platform and make changes for our organization. We also work closely with the Ingeniux professional services team, and their development team has been great to partner with.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

We have a lot of customization built into our CMS with a lot of forms being used on our portal. As someone new to administering a CMS, I could use better tools when packaging and pushing releases into production. I also wish there was more native analytics within the software for tracking asset downloads, usage, etc.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We built a public marketing site and custom client portal with Ingeniux. The portal was designed to be a centralized workspace for our clients to complete any and all work with our company. We have achieved this outcome, significantly reducing the amount of client requests coming from email, which has resulted in a reduction in errors and greater client satisfaction.

  ### 13. Solid, simple web designer, CMS, and hoster

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

On a day to day basis, Ingeniux CMS has been easy to "run." It is simple enough and flexible enough that routine posts and updates are fairly quick and easy, and we have been able to readily onboard new users. Their leadership, core architecture, and design all seem very solid.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Support and change requests have been fairly good overall, but at times have been difficult to get timely progress, especially for those support issues that fit in the grey area between a "bug" and a "feature request." Also, I'd prefer more layout/font options in the core CMS.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

For use, Ingeniiux was hired initially as a strong web designer with a solid CMS that would help ensure our ability to operate self-service over time. In evaluating, I would encourage others to look at the UI/UX of operating the CMS on a day-to-day basis. On this front, Ingeniux has performed very well for us.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ingeniux design and CMS have been key to "modernizing" our web presence over the last two years and to provide a flexible platform for us to drive traffic and conversions from our marketing efforts. The CMS has also made it easier for us to improve SEO and sharing/reuse of our web content.

  ### 14. Flexible, Headless, and it Keeps Getting Better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

This CMS has everything an organization of any size would need to be successful. There's so much control on assets, pages, URL maps, and more. Since version 10, asset management has really made a huge difference in how we're able to publish our assets to different publishing targets, including the ability to have them expire, know where they're used, and more. The headless nature of the CMS exporting XML (or JSON!) to any endpoint has been huge as well - we've been able to export this to things like external apps or other web services to use.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

There hasn't been an update in a while, but that being said, their support is second to none. They've been very responsive to any issues we've encountered, rare as that is.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Give it a try. While the initial set up may take a while, once you're set up, you're set for success. Take your time getting everything where it needs to be, it's much easier to do things right the first time than trying again down the road. Also, attend any and all of the sessions for training as you can, their training team is fantastic and very helpful.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The headless nature of the CMS really does make a difference in how we're able to distribute our content. In addition, the ability to deploy to an app service has helped us be more successful with our load rather than just jam-packing a server with a bunch of sites.

  ### 15. The best CMS I've worked with so far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Being a new Ingeniux CMS User, I found the interface intuitive and easy to use, especially in version 10. Having met some of the Ingeniux staff in person, I can tell they are truly passionate about their product and it shows in the quality of software that they put out.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Documentation for specific tasks can be hard to find, but Ingeniux Support is top-notch, and will respond promptly to any question you may have.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

I highly recommend Ingeniux CMS if your considering a CMS solution for your organization. Ingeniux CMS provides us with an efficient and secure way to focus on the content, components, and presentation while making the backed management easy and intuitive.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, it's the management of content across a decentralize web governance structure and maintenance of accessibility compliance, that the Ingeniux CMS helps us most with.

  ### 16. Decent CMS system with room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The support that we get from IGX is great. Their team is there to provide resources in development, CMS organization, and even some web assets production.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

The system is not as easy to manage as a new user who is unfamiliar with how CMS works. Also once a set of modules are set up, it is difficult to update them to something new. It does not seem as agile and intuitive to be fully adapted as a self-service web layout tool, so we are left to go back to IGX for assistance.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running our corporate website using IGX and having all of our external-facing collateral assets hosted on the CMS.

  ### 17. They grow with you!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

  ### 18. Flexible CMS with great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The flexibility of having the content separated from the presentation layer is very powerful, and the support team is always great.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I would love to see more direction to supporting the newest development platforms.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The taxonomy system has allowed us to manage supporting content across thousands of pages easily.

  ### 19. Great CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ability to have groups of people with varying permissions. Ability to control what they can edit and do.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I don't like that you have to check in and mark pictures for publish. It adds several steps. Would love for that to be an optional automatic.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Make sure to find a good development partner with Ingeniux experience. Alternatively Ingeniux can do the dev work.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to have many offices and departments at our college contribute to the website.

  ### 20. Content Management and Search

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott R. | Chief Technology Officer, Non-Profit Organization Management

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2019

  ### 21. Use it as a content management system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2019

  ### 22. Well-rounded CMS for Higher Ed Usage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan M. | Director of Web Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

What stands out the most about Ingeniux is the high level of customer service - from the initial research stage to reviewing specs and implementation to the amazing support when you become a partner - every phase of interaction with Ingeniux either complements or improves your web strategy and product.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

There are improvement in taxonomy association ordering that could be made, but this is a minor blip in the grand scheme of things.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Pay attention to the way the Ingeniux staff works through the implementation process and how they break down information within page types and components, this will come in extremely handy when building out pieces of your own later. Then, iImmerse yourself in the training and punch list aspect of the launch. If you're an admin, it behooves you to dig into the product as deeply as you can.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The question of how to manage the website for an entire university with only a three-person staff was the largest we faced before implementing Ingeniux, but with an outside web help triage system, clearly delineated tasks, and a modest amount of trained users across campus, there isn't anything we can't do on the web. The efficiency of making and managing changes within the CMS frees the three main web workers to do more specific skill-based strategic tasks.

  ### 23. We use Ingeniux CMS for content management on our websites

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott C. | Computer Programmer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

It allows us to change content without doing a deploy of any code. This allows us to change content on non-code release days. It also allows for non-developers to make content changes.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I believe that it is likely an issue with the way we implemented CMS but we only use it for content at this time. Users are not able to change the look and feel of the website. they can't move fields around or add fields. that still needs to be done by a developer.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for a few different things. We store our website content and text formatting. We also use it for our email content and for our email queries for automated email sending.

  ### 24. A CMS that can meet your simple needs and your complex needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymond L. | Web Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I like that the CMS can be setup as complex and as simple as needed. For example, we have a couple instances of the CMS running. Our main instance needs to complex with a couple dozen schemas. Another instance we have setup just has a few schemas and basic code.

I also like the architecture of the CMS where the design side and the web side are separated so If we need to take the CMS side down for maintenance we can still keep the website still up and reduce any downtime to the website.

Support is huge for us. We feel confident when working with support to resolve our issues.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Documentation. Sometimes the documentation can be lacking.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One cohesive website that meet the needs of each department and college on campus while, while maintaining accessibility.

The CMS has allowed us to maintain our brand standard throughout most of our department and college sites and standardize certain information across the campus, These standardizations would usually not happen unless we were in a centralized CMS.

  ### 25. A decent and responsive system

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I like that Ingeniux works as a headless and decoupled CMS. It really gives us the ability to work in the manner that we'd need depending on the project. I also like that we have a lot of flexibility to build custom apps within Ingeniux for additional functionality.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

We've had troubles with the nature of the support that is provided by default. Generally would be good for average users i.e. content authors, but not as high level as is needed for developers.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

New features are always being rolled out. It's important to use the support they offer to install and start working with the CMS.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving the need to include engineers during every content change. Being able to give content authors the ability to change and update content when they need is really something we want to capitalize on.

  ### 26. Good tool. Lots of capabilities. Easy enough to use for a non-developer.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney K. | Global E-commerce Manager, Biotechnology, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Easy enough for someone who isn't fluent in HTML, etc to use. The support is pretty good and mostly available when we need them. I am not part of the web development team, however, I was able to get in and work in ingeniux, manage pages, make updates, etc.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

We had Issues with connections sometimes, the website being down, etc., however, customer service was always very helpful!

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Make sure you understand the capabilities of the system and that it can fulfill all of your requirements.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building new landing pages and updating pages for our site. Sometimes it takes our web development team a while to get edits done so it is nice that I am able to go into Ingeniux and make edits on my own and not have to wait for our team. Makes the turn around time much quicker.

  ### 27. Ingeniux CMS is easy for authors and the technical support is great.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheryle D. | Webmaster, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The personalized technical support, is the best. If an email can't answer the issue, IGX support staff gets on the phone or on a webex meeting to work through the issues. Once a solution is found, they usually summarize the solution back to you in an email. This is great for documenting the solution for future reference.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I think the product is getting more technical in its development. Maybe .Net provides more flexibility; however, I think the back end development is way more complex than when we started with Ingeniux in 2009.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run our main college website on Ingeniux CMS. It has simplified the content creation and content approval process on campus.

  ### 28. Incredibly disappointing relationship

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

As a Content Management System, Ingeniux makes it quite easy for users to edit content. If a user has a decent understanding of HTML, they will feel very comfortable in the system.

The organization of pages is quite similar to navigating any digital file system, so this will also feel familiar to users.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux has been a disaster for my organization. There are many changes we cannot make ourselves and have to file support tickets with the corporate support team to have these changes made. These changes are not only incredibly expensive, but also require us to spend hours attempting to contact the company. We have gotten to points where we had to contact the CEO directly because our account managers on the Ingeniux team simply would not respond to our inquiries or phone calls.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Do not do it!!!

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems solved or benefits realized. Again it has been a massive headache for our business and we truly regret the decision to switch to Ingeniux.

  ### 29. An incredible CMS, does pretty much anything that you can dream of

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Lead Web Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux is an amazing CMS. It handles all our 12 websites with ease, manages content well, and we love it. It sends out an XML feed to your views that you can manipulate any way you need.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

There isn't much to dislike. You'll want to build it properly, and if done so right, you'll be able to get all you want our of Ingeniux.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Yes, especially with Version 10 now out.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Ingeniux for so many different applications, from email generation, to digital signage, and much more. It's saved us an amazing amount of time rather than having to build new backends.

  ### 30. Ingeniux is a powerful platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alice E. | Web Production Specialist, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I love the having full control over the rendering system, without all the legwork of making a CMS

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

The CMS can be extremely slow at times, even screeching to a halt after a while, combine that with not being able to push new templates directly to the server and it really slows production at times

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Make sure to have a dedicated developer on staff to really expand your capabilities with Ingeniux

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have created a website for a college where hundreds of people have access to different pages respecting their positions in the college. Being able to have a system with this many seats makes maintaining our website a lot easier

  ### 31. Extremely Versatile

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle D. | Owner, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I like that the designs that I create can be easily, and well maintained and supported by the people who own the site: editors, department heads, etc. It is easy to learn and quick to use.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

There is nothing to dislike - granted the product offers features that I have not had a chance to use.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I design websites -- Ingeniux is a perfect partner for building these websites - and the site owner ends up with an exceptional product that they can maintain without the design degenerating through update and content cycles.

  ### 32. When Content Is King

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I love being able to accomplish so much without a formal code push. Putting the control in the hands of content authors can be game changing.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

The developer documentation could be much better. I've had to create supplemental documentation to get my engineers up to speed quickly. Which is the idea as we integrate more and more of our applications and sites.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Ingeniux is pretty awesome and offers tons of flexibility. But with great power comes great responsibility. Be prepared to do some work... which you were likely planning to do already.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create/update once and publish any/everywhere is one of the best features. Sharing content is great for us as well considering the close relationships between our products.

  ### 33. Happy with this CMS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux is far more intuitive to use than our last CMS. I used to have to constantly retrain users on our old CMS, but with one training, users are usually good to go.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

The setup of permissions and workflow could be a little easier.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

I would recommend that others consider Ingeniux when selecting a CMS.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the CMS for our website content management. Updates take far less time than they used to.

  ### 34. Excellent Experience so far using Ingeniux

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The best thing so far about Ingeniux is their support team, they are constantly there for my company when we get stuck, and not only do they answer my issue within minutes of my submission but they will call me and talk to me on the phone to make sure they understand the issue.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I have no complaints, we really like this CMS. It would be awesome if they could create better documentation, there is a lot to know about the CMS, especially if you are integrating it into an MVC project.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the CMS for everything, it allows us to white label our sites for different customers. The best part is the feature flags we set up within the CMS and tie it back to our code base to allow us to push things to production faster. The CMS integrates nicely with our .net code.

  ### 35. Best CMS. Period. (If you like to be able to do whatever you want, however you want.)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ultimate flexibility. Ingeniux supplies a framework for collecting data of user-defined types and a schema for organizing it. From there, a competent developer can literally build anything. The interface is simple. The reliability is first rate.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

The fact that some of our de-centralized users can't pronounce the name correctly. It's in-jean-yucks.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

If you manage a complex site, there is no better CMS.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

De-centralized content management. 300 users, 60,000+ pages, multiple domains and subsites all manage through one CMS instance.

  ### 36. Ingeniux is a true partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux has innovative technology and a platform that supports standards, not proprietary code. What stands out about this company, though, is their willingness to truly partner--to listen, help solve problems large and small, and offer smart suggestions on how to resolve issues or meet a goal.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I have to think really hard about anything I dislike about them. They're growing, so I think their documentation and support content is behind the rest of their technology and general support model. It is fine, it just isn't as good as everything else. This is so not a show-stopper, though.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content portal that provides a single place for both technical documentation and support content, with dynamic delivery for specific audiences.

  ### 37. Best CMS Experience with the Power of .NET

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Director of Web Initiatives, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux provides a full-featured CMS with modern user experiences. These features will satisfy content/marketing specialists as well as back-end developers. It provides the power of ASP.NET MVC on the backend and the flexibility to use modern JavaScript frameworks that also unlock incredibly flexible tools for authors working in the system.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

While providing many tools to build whatever web solution you are looking for, it can be a bit of a challenge to begin develop with the system without any training. Though to an experience .NET developer or the proper training, it ends up being very enjoyable.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Ingeniux is already a leading solution for managing your web experience and is moving forward with the latest technologies to keep that leading edge.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run a website with approximately 5,000 pages that are authored by over 65 content contributors. The Ingeniux CMS provides the access control and management features to make this possibly as well as build an award-winning website.

  ### 38. Happy with Ingeniux CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I like that support is willing to work with you through issues and development of new features

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

We have a blended environment and is less of a challenge than it used to be

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are not using the workflow approval for content, but take advantage of having over 200 content managers updating our site via Ingeniux. In doing so we are allowing the workload to be handed off to SMEs in their areas, instead of having it centrally managed.

  ### 39. Ingeniux is a fast, flexible, modern CMS.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ability to create a variety of hooks and schemas; the CMS itself handles everything from security to workflow rather well, and the API takes care of just about everything that's not already built in.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Small hiccups in development/design. Developers need to think more about UI before going ahead and implementing changes.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to set up various forms of tracking, reusable content, integrations with CRM.

  ### 40. Great features and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux has a very robust feature set and can be customized to meet your needs.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I wish there was an option to preview your scheduled changes or the state of the site for a given date.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Empowering the marketing department to create and manage the website.

  ### 41. Wonderful, powerful, and full-featured Content Management System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Web Marketing Coordinator, Hospitality, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

This CMS is powerful and widely cusomizable. From being able to make a schema for almost anything, there's enough flexibility to make a powerful website with rich content, all while being easy enough for our employees to use.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Honestly, nothing. The CMS is fantastic, the updates are relatively quick, and the support is fantastic at getting back to any problems or glitches one may encounter while using the CMS.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Give it a try. It's worth it. The set up process, including setting sup chemas, can be tedious, but pays off very well in the end.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving the problem of being able to easily manage content, while having the power and flexibility of the CMS to back us up.

  ### 42. Fisher Price Easy to learn and train your users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

this product is easy to understand and pickup by those who support content across campus outside the office of web technology and information technology. I have successfully trained users of all skill and comfort levels across campus in a 1 hour basics training session.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

With 360 hours, there is nothing I can say I dislike. Eventually an answer is found and a problem solved.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

a bit of heavy lifting to implement into the system, but well worth it in the return of workflow, permissions, and tons of other benefits that will help keep your web site relevant and consistent.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it allowed us to implement workflows and permissions that in turn helped us to have constituents across campus maintain and own their own content while allowing the office of web technology, content management, and information technology maintaining the structures, branding, and a cohesive consistent branding and message through out the entire site.

  ### 43. Long time customer loves how this product gets better and better

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Director of Web and Software Development Services, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Easy of use, and infinitely flexible. You can literally do anything with Ingeniux.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Needs better asset management. When you delete an image from a page, it is hard to find the appropriate image in assets to get rid of it.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Great support!

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes it super easy to get new users creating, editing and uploading content. We have 80 full time CMS users and I have been teaching monthly classes on how to use it for 7 years. Everyone is amazed at how simple it is. Especially, new employees that have used a CMS at their precious job.

We can't wait for all the new features that are coming in version 10.

  ### 44. Review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Have yet to see the best feature yet. We are still in the implementation portion.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

I really dislike the security posture that this company has.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

None.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

offloading of duties assigned to maintaining the server

  ### 45. Nice organizational/architectural features, fairly easy to use,

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon M. | Web Specialist (Freelance Contractor), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The hierarchy is easily seen, components can be easily shared and organized, publishing is fairly seamless, the support team is responsive and seems to answer fairly quickly, the learning curve is fairly short as well.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Support tickets often require the system to go offline, which is done during working hours and results in a productivity loss, assets cannot be re-named, certain components only work on certain pages which can be confusing, sometimes system is slow to respond/glitchy

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Have a defined architecture plan, naming conventions, and a user guide with what components go on what pages ahead of time for everyone who is working on the site, as well as thorough training. That way you won’t end up having to redo things halfway through the project! Be careful when moving things around as it can result in them having to do a rebuild, and since they do them during the day, a lot of lost productivity.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The convergence of an old and new website, re-skinning website, to be able. To change the look fairly quickly. The new website(s) look great, and we were able to re-skin fairly seamlessly across all of the global sites

  ### 46. Informative

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

The new interface and the application responds faster.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Having to publish the image now also the mix of icons and words on the interface. I was looking for the word save.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Keep on practicing

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JSON controller and how to sync body copy to JQuery mobile app.

  ### 47. New to Ingeniux

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Their training and implementation process has been very helpful for us. The system seems to be able to support most of our needs (there are a few items we will be looking into developing down the road). We're excited to launch our new site on their platform soon.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Some of the development work that was done required additional hours, however this may have been due to a lack of full scoping the work before development started.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a new CMS because our old system was no longer supported. The additional SEO and ADA support will be crucial for us. They were able to develop some logic, such as dynamically displaying branch/ATM locations and hours.

  ### 48. Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

I love that every time you turn around, the product is getting improved. Development is active and responsive to your needs which means this is far from being a stale software title.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Being on the East coast means I'm in hours before any west coasters are awake... only an issue if you're an east coast early bird.

**Recommendations to others considering Ingeniux:**

Use support. They are awesome.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving our years of problems related to searching our site with Ingeniux. They now have a new included product called "InSite Search" which has been clearing years of headaches.

I like the ability to pin different tabs

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Editing HTML from the body is not the best.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have t ability to update schemas on a large scale. This allows us to choose schemas that are used the most.

  ### 50. A CMS That Moves You Forwards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Ingeniux?**

Ingeniux is good about listening for feedback and making changes. There's no perfect CMS, but there are ones that move forwards and ones that don't.

**What do you dislike about Ingeniux?**

Modularity. The CMS obviously will bend to the web designer, but for power users who are in there often but don't have much control in the back end, things slow down.

**What problems is Ingeniux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forms, UTM codes to track audiences, ease of migrating to new types of pages/formats
