Certification is an excellent piece of the puzzle to our overall balance sheet. It has been great to standardise the reconciliation process within our companies and have a strict Quality Assurance process in place.

CLOSE

We have not used CLOSE to its full potential yet, and we are about to implement stage 2 of the project, which will help us deliver a proper close. Genuinely excited about our future CLOSE process.

JE

JE has been great to implement. We have just had year-end, and it went so smoothly due to JE. It gives us more control over the approval process and stops skipping procedures.

Support

The support teams are fantastic, and being split between Europe and the States, you have access to them all the time. They do what they say they will do, when they says it. As an admin user I am in the system all the time. The changes/upgrades on the whole and been really good for us. I feel the reporting could be much more intuitive. It can be difficult to get all the information you need in one report. We can adapt to it when it would be much easier if it adapted to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We like that Cadency by Trintech is a good repository tool. It helps track what we have to do, ensures we complete tasks and reconciliations on time, and allows us to know who did what and by when. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Dashboard is not good, and we have to use an XLS base report to show where countries/affiliates stand by Tower. The view is not user-friendly as you have to scroll and it’s not easy to get a full picture, making it better in XLS. Additionally, the RTR Console did not balance for some countries and required the Trintech tech team to figure out why. The initial setup was not easy and was time-consuming. As user, Cadency is very user friendly and easy to navigate. As an administrator, I really like their Support Center, especially for creating and tracking cases. The support team is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. I also appreciate that it leverages AI technology, and that I can go back and view comments even after a case is closed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First, users have encountered gateway errors far too frequently, raising concerns about system reliability. Second, reporting limitations within the Journal Entry module make governance and audit activities challenging. The template audit trail is particularly difficult to work with—speaking from the perspective of someone executing these activities, the report is hard to interpret and lacks clarity. We need an audit trail that is transparent, intuitive, and easy for auditors to review. Third, manual configuration in production increases risk. I would prefer a more automated and controlled migration process. Lastly, my experience with the Knowledge Center has been limited. When navigating to Customer Products → Cadency → Journal Entry, I see only 16 known issues listed, which seems quite minimal. That said, I do appreciate the ability to follow updates. I find Cadency by Trintech to be quite easy to use, especially from a reconciler's perspective, and even when working as an admin, it is not too difficult to navigate. One of the standout aspects is the exceptional IT support I've received, particularly from Steve Mersman, who has been incredibly responsive, patient, and helpful, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly. I find Cadency by Trintech challenging when updating a reconciler after the reconciliation has been uploaded by another employee or is pending review. This process should be more seamless, especially when reconcilers or reviewers are out of the office or no longer with the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of rec prep, saves time during our close cycle, and can be customized to fit business needs. Automation of low risk recs through DAM creates efficiencies and allows more time for review or high risk/more critical rec tasks. Inactivation of users can be cumbersome at times. All workflows must be reassigned before users can be inactivated. This can be difficult at times, especially if multiple user groups are used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Cadency is the Match module’s ability to handle high-volume transaction matching with strong automation. The configurable rules and clear exception management save a lot of manual effort and speed up the reconciliation process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike is that the import and auto-matching process can sometimes take longer than expected. Also, it would be very helpful if Cadency could support matching between CCY1 and CCY2 directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to navigate, very intuitive to how things are organized. It's also pretty seamless as far as adding new data feeds as par to the developement is owned by the vendor. Cadency is not very flexible regarding updating/making changes to account recons mid-period. It's best to make changes at the beginning or end of a period. Also, updates made to Cadency to fix important bugs are not available unless you do a full upgrade. Our current version dashboard of outstanding doesn't work properly and we'll have to wait till the next upgrade to fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like the most is the platform’s dynamism and the way it tracks all user actions. This allows me to perform detailed analysis and reporting, helping to identify risks and continuously improve our processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the main limitations is the rigidity in how information must be loaded. In some cases, the process must be followed strictly step by step (e.g., Step 1, then Step 2) for the auto-reconciliation to work properly or for certain actions to be triggered.
