They will be there for you and are extremely knowledgeable about their product. Their trainers were also great. **What do you dislike about Ivanti Endpoint Manager?** The support documentation was abominably curated on the website. More often than not, you'd find a description for your problem, but it was for a previous version and was supposed to have been patched out. It is by no means as bad as Adobe in terms of utter uselessness though. If you dig, you might find a way to make it work. **What problems is Ivanti Endpoint Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Software deployments were a 50/50 shot at best on smaller packages, but for major vendor .msi files, it was a great deployment tool and system provisioning of large scale jobs was a real time saver. Once our network became fast enough, automated image deployments were pretty handy too. The remote control tools were also extremely useful. ### 16. We previously didn’t have much macOS management capabilities but with Ivanti we have grown to a very good position in the management and deployment of new hardware. **What do you dislike about Ivanti Endpoint Manager?** We have run into a few issues where Ivanti is a bit behind other competitors on the market in terms of OS Support or functionality. They don’t have effective zero-day support for new macOS releases like JAMF. Some of their management functions don’t seem to work as easily, and occasionally log information can be very vague or non-existent. **What problems is Ivanti Endpoint Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to roll out 2000+ devices with minimal touch by IT. We are able to deploy software packs, patch machines, enrol in MDM and also view inventory information. We have saved thousands of dollars and man hours by using Ivanti in our organisation. ### 17. Also, the cloud service app has been instrumental in managing end user devices now that all of our users work remotely. **What do you dislike about Ivanti Endpoint Manager?** I do not use the provisioning/imaging as it is very inconsistent. It allows for work email integration and app management. The dashboard is fairly self-explanatory and there are many different metrics you can view. (Such as Device by Status, Device by Compliance, By OS Type, OS Version, Roaming, Device By Owner, Device By Operator, Last Check-Ins, and so forth.) You can look up devices by device type, user, and various other metrics. **What do you dislike about Ivanti Endpoint Manager?** That passcode feature. Having to change a passcode frequently is an annoyance to some users. I understand it on a security level, but this has given us some grief since it has been applied. If a user tries too many times to enter their password incorrectly, it is possible that their phone can be remote wiped. While this is helpful if the device is stolen, it has yet to be successful outside of them doing it by mistake. **Recommendations to others considering Ivanti Endpoint Manager:** Consider using Apple devices exclusively as they are easier to manage and are more secure, in general. **What problems is Ivanti Endpoint Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were looking for a way to track, analyze, implement and provide users with a quick and easy way to manage their business email. We also realized that this is a great way to send automated app pushes such as other business/security applications. ### 32. OS Provisioning and Patch Manager are our go-to's. **What do you dislike about Ivanti Endpoint Manager?** The right-click menu on computers in Patch Manager and Task windows is not consistent with the right-click menu presented in Network View. The Management Console's behavior as a window is inconsistent. I have to constantly maximize, then minimize to maintain a view. Re-sized and re-positioned windows do not remember their last position or size. **Recommendations to others considering Ivanti Endpoint Manager:** I would highly recommend it. In a field where most companies simply do a small subnet and rely on SCCM to do the heavy lifting, Ivanti comes out swinging with great tech, smart acquisitions and always remembering where they came from. The community is healthy, the support staff super knowledgeable, and the conference is a must for anyone doing anything within the Ivanti suite. **What do you dislike about Ivanti Endpoint Manager?** One of Ivanti's greatest strengths, is also one of it's biggest downsides. Through growth and acquisitions, the portfolio has increased, but the integration can be lacking at times, or down right not existent. To really get the full benefits of what all Ivanti can do, you truly do need to be in both the service desk side, and the endpoint management side. While all the products are great on their own, your experience can range widely depending on what services and products within the suite you have purchased. **What problems is Ivanti Endpoint Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** We currently solved a variety of problems such as Remote user management, Windows 10 upgrades, Office 365 management, and patch management. ### 36.
