We also use MaaS360 for pushing applications to end devices via policies. The interface is quite intuitive and beginner-friendly. **What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?** There is nothing much that I dislike about MaaS360 apart from the fact that we've experienced minor glitches and unexpected behavior. Creating an application package is not very straightforward and there are a lot of moving parts where things can go wrong. When we push apps to end clients we've noticed slight inconsistencies in the deployment and oftentimes the script that installs the application fails for some reason. **Recommendations to others considering IBM MaaS360:** Great product with extensive functionality but it's not working 100% reliably. **What problems is IBM MaaS360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem we solve with MaaS360 is the mobile device management at the company. We have both Windows and Mac estate along with Android and iPhone devices. It's rare for an MDM product to support all these but MaaS360 covers our assets. With MaaS360 we can easily lock and wipe the device remotely if need be. We're also pushing new applications at scale via MaaS360 and that simplifies the installation process as it happens silently in the background. ### 5. The management console is fairly easy to use as well. We have already used it a few times to access "lost" devices and recover them. It is mainly being used to push down apple apps to the devices. **What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?** The initial setup costs were not expected and the training was okay. It took a while to get the actual account setup but I don't think it was due to the actual software vendor but due to the sales person. **Recommendations to others considering IBM MaaS360:** make sure that you have investigated other MDMs, this one is definitely a good solution but if I were aware of the upfront costs, then I would have probably selected a different vendor. **What problems is IBM MaaS360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed an MDM to send application updates to our apple devices that utilized a company apple account. We were able to setup each device and easily push down the updates to the devices without having to personally touch each device. The bonus is the lost device recovery feature which we have taken advantage of recently. ### 6. The support and level of capabilities is sufficient for the vast majority of enterprise needs. The system works with all endpoint devices, so it is a vital part of an enterprise suite. In addition, the interface is very easy to use. As an administrator, I would highly recommend it. You can setup a lot of items directly in the tool. The cloud based version of the tool also made it very easy to deploy with minimal setup of infrastructure. **What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?** Some of the automation can be improved. Based on what I have seen with other endpoint software, automation has become a key part of any implementation. Customers want hands off implementation and there is still some areas of improvement for automation. One of the key capabilities we are looking for was the synchronization with active directory. When a user gets added to a group, a change is made on their mobile device. Although this synchronization worked, it happened overnight. We were hoping that it would be more instantly done for the user. This would be something for them to improve in the future. **Recommendations to others considering IBM MaaS360:** Make sure it supports all the device types in your organization. Also, make sure you know all the integrations you are looking for and check the compatibility. If you have custom mobile apps, you can setup an internal app store for them. **What problems is IBM MaaS360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** As we are now managing enterprise devices, we need to be able to deploy appropriate apps and security to our end user devices effectively. Maas360 brought that capability early to Newell Brands and let us deploy that capability. Over the years, the tool has improved in those capabilities as well. ### 13. It was an awesome opportunity to use internal reports. We could build different reports for our managers and configure weekly the mailing list. IBM goes out of their way to provide help and documentation for the period after on-boarding. **What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?** We didn't like the support team. Sometimes we waited for 1-2 weeks' answering our request. Also, we wanted to implement macOS devices in our company. Third-party support can't compete with direct IBM support. Working with the IBM team is like having a dozen magicians in your back pocket. Third party can still access IBM support but it gets a little complicated. We have worked with both ways and I prefer being able to contact IBM directly. I swear those guys eat, sleep, and breathe this product. It is phenomenal. Compared to other products, this is a fabulous price with very little initial investment other than your own time. If we publish a policy it is almost instantly pushed to the devices and the support from IBM is great. The portal is easy to set up and easy to upgrade to another license model. If you are unable to resolve an issue or have questions about your configuration there is no issue either. Where other vendors are having problems with their support is MaaS360 not facing these issues at all. On the support page you can follow your own tickets and contact the support engineers. If the support engineers are unable to resolve your issue they will escalate it to the development team. Overall: The support is great and the portal itself is very user friendly. **What do you dislike about IBM MaaS360?** Difficult tickets might take a while to resolve. Location services also not great. The DEP and Maas360 connection isn't always brilliant either. The layout seems awkward and difficult to distinguish sometimes. **Recommendations to others considering IBM MaaS360:** This software provides amazing functionality and is exactly what we need. I haven't found the interface that user-friendly though. We've had practical issues with implementation which have a lot to do with the dispersed nature of our work, but getting a handle on the software has been slow.
