What I like most about Varicent is that it gives me a clearer view of performance without requiring me to spend a lot of time digging through data manually. I can see the numbers in one place, understand how things are progressing, and quickly get the information I need to make better decisions. What I dislike is that some processes can feel a bit complicated at first, and it can take a while to locate the exact information I need. I think the user experience could be more intuitive overall, with simpler navigation and more flexibility when customizing reports. I like using Varicent because it's easy to use on a daily basis for calculating several commission plans for various sales channels. I appreciate that all data is available for all plans, which makes things easier. Another feature that I find valuable is the ELT feature, as it allows me to filter and track data through all the steps. I enjoy the ease of use and navigation, as well as the ability to customize and distribute documents, etc. while I don’t program the system, I do a lot of rep facing work and new hire training and I’m able to quickly and efficiently show our reps where to look for their data and how to review their payouts. That calculations can’t easily be moved year over year. I don’t love the amount of white space, these are picky things, but I also wish it was easier to build logic to distribute plan documents and other official docs… OH!! and an ability to search for documents across multiple work flows…I wish we could search all documents for a particular participant…rather than digging through individual workflows. used this a lot during my tenure at Sherwin Williams. Great tool to monitor live financials on a micro/macro scale, especially for sales teams, districts and divisions. It was a process to log into, the way we had it set up ran through SAP but access was a little complicated. Could only access it on main computers and 50/50 it crashed on iPad devices. It makes it super easy to keep track of my commissions. Before my company started using Varicent, I had a lot of issues and there was no one to help solve them. Commissions would go missing left, right, and center and just disappear into the void. Now, whenever something doesn’t look right, it’s much easier to track down what happened and recover it. One setback I’ve noticed is slower performance and lag during high-volume periods. I work with the tax and accounting sales organization, and the closer we get to the renewal-season sales craze, the slower and laggier it becomes.
