What do you like best about Frends?
UI / UX
The user interface is functional, clear, and relatively easy to understand. It strikes a good balance between simplicity and capability, allowing integrations to be built without excessive complexity. However, when processes grow larger, navigation and readability can become slightly challenging, especially with more advanced logic spread across multiple nodes.
Integrations
Frends is a capable integration platform and supports a wide range of use cases. Based on experience, it handles various APIs and systems (such as Intune, Autotask, Zabbix, and others) quite well. That said, more complex or non-standard customer environments often require custom logic and deeper technical work—meaning it’s not always a “plug-and-play” solution.
Performance
Performance has been solid overall. Even larger datasets and more demanding integrations have run efficiently, and execution times are generally reliable. Some challenges have appeared with very large customer environments, where data needs occasional cleanup or optimization, but nothing fundamentally limiting.
Pricing / ROI
Frends is not a low-cost solution. Each integration adds to the overall cost, and AI-related features consume credits, which can accumulate quickly. While the platform delivers value through automation and centralization, cost awareness is necessary—especially during development and testing phases where AI usage can increase expenses without directly generating ROI.
Support / Onboarding
Support has been fast and generally effective. Responses are helpful and issues are addressed quickly. However, a notable downside is that some previously free or basic support inquiries may become chargeable without clear upfront communication, which can be frustrating from a customer perspective.
AI / Intelligence
The AI features are useful, particularly in assisting with integration design, scripting, and troubleshooting. They can speed up development and provide helpful suggestions. However, since usage is tied to AI credits, it can discourage experimentation and iterative development. This limits the practical usefulness of AI in day-to-day work, especially in early development stages.
Overall
Frends is a capable and flexible integration platform that can handle a wide variety of scenarios effectively. It performs well and provides solid tooling for building integrations. However, it is not entirely “ready out of the box” for more complex environments—customization is often required. Additionally, pricing and AI usage costs should be carefully considered when planning long-term usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Frends?
Support should be more transparent and customer-oriented, especially before introducing billing. There have been cases where assistance was provided, and only afterward a charge was issued—without any prior notice that the support would be billable.
This kind of approach can feel unexpected and reduces trust. It would be better if any potential costs were clearly communicated in advance, allowing customers to make informed decisions before accepting support.
Frends does provide AI-based support, which works reasonably well for general guidance. Personal assistance is also available via email, which is a positive aspect. However, there is still an expectation that a certain level of support could be included as part of an active customer relationship.
From both a customer and vendor perspective, ensuring accessible and helpful support without immediate billing would likely lead to higher satisfaction and stronger long-term collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
