I particularly like how we can expose an API or call other systems using ready-made tasks provided by Frends. It's definitely much easier to use these ready-made tasks than having to code everything from scratch. The presence of these tasks in the Frends library really helps make the process smoother, and the more tasks available, the easier it becomes. **What do you dislike about Frends?** I find that you still need to know C# and JSON pretty well, so it's not no code platform. It's not even the lowest low code platform. I would appreciate needing less coding. The UI looks quite good but is very basic and even naive in some cases. For example, when you change the name of a variable, you have to change it everywhere manually. It would be nice if changing it once applied everywhere automatically. Also, the UI is all black and white by default, and while you can set colors, it would be nice if different tasks and UI elements were colored differently by default. Many basic UI things could be improved. **What problems is Frends solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Frends to build integrations from source systems to our financial ERP, like invoices from source systems to ERP and from ERP to the invoice operator, making it a gateway for financial data handling. ### 2. Cloud and on-premise connections are easy to set up. Environment variables make it easier to control variables. User rights can be easily controlled. Their service desk reacts quickly, and the communication with the provider is flexible. **What do you dislike about Frends?** Some syntax is tricky at first, e.g. JArrays or JObjects need to be in exactly the correct format to work and error messages are not always very helpful in this. Processes cannot yet be tagged, and the GUI loses the process I was working on, so I need to search for it again when jumping between dev/test/prod. Publishing from development to testing and running once could be more automatic. **What problems is Frends solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it to make point-to-point integrations between software systems and monitor them. Hides complexity without compromising away functionality and extensibility. Development, test and production all run on an agent server making it easy to build and deploy without having to set up a build environment first (this can also be a downside when it comes to testing. See dislikes below). APIs are built the same way as integration processes making it easy to build APIs. Built on .NET which is a good fit for us. Good support. It's possible to keep all our data inside EU jurisdiction. Good logging. **What do you dislike about Frends?** UI doesn't scale well when you have hundreds of processes. Access control is lacking making it difficult to let outside teams participate in development. No easy way to connect external monitoring software. It can be hard to test and debug parts of a process. It seems fast and quite easily scalable and built components are more or less re-usable. **What do you dislike about Frends?** It's missing some of the most useful functions such as reprocess and re-submit. Even Ediserver from the 80s' had these and it should not be a separate manual task to manage it. Just ticking the instance and clicking reprocess should do the trick. Search functionality is missing conditional search option (not, and, or etc.) Finding a needle from the haystack would get a lot easier with these options, not to mention generating proper report exports. Browsing through instances prom a single process and selecting "Save all as csv" only exports the ones visible in the view. If I want to export more, I need to hammer down the "Show more" option and then export. As a power user I would sometimes need to browse through masses of data, in order to find irregularities. With the UI this cannot be done, but possibly in the backend by sudoing and awking the hell out of the instances. Have not seen this yet, so don't know. **What problems is Frends solving and how is that benefiting you?** Any large enough business pretty much cannot go without a proper IPaaS, so there's that. When the task is clear enough, implementing it in FRENDS seems quite fast. ### 37.
