"Constenstack, the partner help us customize and do fast development"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

ContentStack is a great CMS for customizing our front end, and it permits us to create fast development and optimized components through all the tech stacks used. Further, the ways that Contenstack handles optimizes, and publishes the content are really good; its documentation is so well done, and its well-created backend permits the use and integration to be easy to implement.

We have created a lot of customized components using REST API and GraphQL, and the experience with both has been really great. It has permitted us to get the content with a really high frequency.

Finally, we have not had issues with Contentstack, but there are no doubts that the Customer Support and all the rest of the services are good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

There are no certifications, that could be very helpful. But it's very easy to integrate that maybe is not necesary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for website building!"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack is user friendly and learn and navigate. It is fairly easy to pick up on all the features, and has a lot of unique options. Easy for multiple people and teams to use within the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

I can't think of anything I dislike. Sometimes it is a little slow, so patience can be key. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Our first projects were very confusing and we struggled with unexpected system behavior."
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I like that things get so confusing and messy that I'm the only one that can make things work. That's good for job security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

The rich text editor is really buggy, and you have to use the html to make things work, which limits the population that can effectively use the platform. There are ways to make subtle mistakes in project setup that can set you back weeks when you later realize that things won't work as expected. The ways that entries are connected are not intuitive at all, although this might have been due to how our developers built our first project. The localizations and language settings also created majjor confusion, and we need to rebuild an entire site to correct discrepancies. This should have been anticipated during an onboarding and should have been avoided. (We built two sites that had different master languages, and now we want to modularize our content, which will require rebuilding one so that the language settings match.) I often experience lags that get really annoying when I'm repeating the same sequence of key strokes over and over again. It might be because we're hosting the site on another continent, though. A half second delay per click gets to be a lot when you do thousands of clicks per sub-project. The way that searches work and that search results are displayed could be improved. If you navigate away from a sorted list of search results and then hit the back button (in the platform or on the browser) you lose the sorting, or the specific results page that you were looking at, for example. Finally (for now), we have a bug that requires saving and publishing instead of just publishing. It's not clear why saving should be a required step. Save should mean save without publishing. Publish should mean save and publish, in our opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Varia Makagonova of Contentstack

Hi there, thank you so much for sharing your feedback about Contentstack. We're so sorry to hear you had difficulty with your implementation of the platform that is leading to a frustrating user experience.

Regarding the lags you mentioned, we had a look at our customer feedback and haven't seen this problem coming up as a frequent concern, so our best guess is that this is also the result of a complex content model implementation.

-- We'd love to offer you some sessions with our Technical Services Organization (TSO) to help optimize your content models, which appear to be in need of an update.

-- And we'd also love to have you join our UX research sessions, since we are in the middle of an overhaul to our Search functionality, and would truly appreciate hearing about your experience and wishes

"Contentstack is awesome!"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Using contentstack gives us the competitive edge to bring products to market faster than our competitors. The more I use it the more I like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

Depedning on how you choose to implement your different contentstack environments and branching strategies you can hinder both developers and business users and it can be hard to reverse these decisions once they are implemented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pretty useful tool for content management, despite some glitches"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I think it's a very intuitive tool, I've been able to use it for some months now and I never really looked into the tutorial. There's a wide arrange of features to implement different types of content on pages without the need to know HTML etc, but I also think it lacks some autonomy for the user in that department. For example, the "feature card" feature could have an option for choosing who to display text-picture: side by side or picture on the top and text below. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

The redesign that rolled out this year increased the size of page elements in the editor and, consequently, they now occupy bigger chunks of screen, making it difficult to use Content Stack in PCs with smaller displays. I believe the previous layout was more effective in that sense. Plus, there's a pretty annoying bug when I try to expand the info uon some card when editing pages. I always need to press the down arrow twice in order to open the cards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Varia Makagonova of Contentstack

Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback about Contentstack, and we are so happy to hear that you find the platform intuitive and feature-rich.

We talked to our product team about the size of the page elements that you find less effective following the redesign. Interestingly enough, this change was made because many users told us in UX research that they felt they needed to zoom in in order to see everything!

We'd love to understand more about the "expanding elements" issue that you're reporting, as well as the feature cards feedback. Would you be willing to have a quick UX research session with us? Please reach out directly to your CSM, or hit the 'contact Contentstack' button above. We'd love to hear more and see if we can help!

"C-Stack Experience"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I love how flexible it is and the UI is very easy to understand. I like the fact that you can leave comments with each version of a content type. I like how everything is connected and you can see references to where content is being used. We have so many different functions that we use C-stack for and it's amazing how versatile it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

The search function could be a little better. The old UI sometimes gives me better results but too many results. Search in the new UI is a little bit more complex to search specific parts of different content types, but there are times where it doesn't give me the correct results. Also it's confusing when fields are collapsed and there's a number by it making me think it's a filled in field so i uncollapse only to find it empty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"If a Jr can use it, you too"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

The interface is really good looking, it's easy to understand how to use it and the information given at the courses helps you to understand cleary what you should do. The information is well structured. The more you use contentstack you get to the use really easy, the language isn´t a problem and it really easy to implementate with other things that are useful for the project. I use Contentstack every day for uploading content and it´s really easy to do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

The search is really complicated to understand at first, sometimes it allows you to look for some things that aren´t even part of the content model that you have. What I don´t also like is that to look for some info I need to use the expert search but it´s not that easy at first, so they should have a easier filter or search box. "Considerably satisfied, easy to use, similar to word press but better in most ways."
What do you like best about Contentstack?

It is intuitive, no unecessarily convaluted ways to do the most basic of things.

It works consistently well. rarely ever down, glitches or anything that causes issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

A small gripe, when an image has been uploaded and is in the copy, the image can not be switched out for another without having to write a knew caption.

I am signed out and then unable to save, without notice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
