"Efficient Content Management with Room for Improved Bulk Editing"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I use Contentstack for my daily project activities, including managing homepage and category pages, which makes my tasks significantly more manageable. The platform excels in scheduling, allowing me to plan content deployments in advance, making the process smooth and stress-free. Its scheduling feature is particularly valuable as it ensures timely and reliable publication of updates without needing constant supervision. The user-friendly interface and structured workflows of Contentstack enhance my ability to perform quick content updates and manage multiple entries efficiently, reducing the dependency on developers and minimizing the risk of errors. I appreciate how it centralizes content management, eliminating manual intervention and promoting a streamlined workflow. The version control and scheduling features contribute to maintaining content consistency and alignment with brand guidelines. Furthermore, Contentstack smoothly integrates with tools like Jira, Figma, and Google Analytics, augmenting its efficiency in managing content from creation to publication. The overall setup was intuitive and quickly understood, backed by clear documentation and responsive support. Switching from Salesforce CMS to Contentstack for its flexibility and faster management has been a positive change, substantially enhancing our agility in content management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

While Contentstack is a powerful and user-friendly platform, I feel that some areas could be improved to enhance the overall experience. For instance, the bulk editing feature needs to be more intuitive. Currently, managing a large number of entries or components necessitates opening each one individually, which can be time-consuming, especially for projects involving frequent content updates like seasonal homepage banners or campaign pages. A more robust bulk editing capability, such as the ability to modify fields and publish multiple entries at once, would save a significant amount of time and reduce manual effort. Additionally, navigating large sets of entries could be streamlined. When handling multiple content types or entries across environments, finding specific items sometimes requires several clicks. Enhancements like advanced filtering, custom views, or advanced searches with saved queries could make locating and updating content more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Intuitive, Best for Website Management"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I find Contentstack to be an invaluable tool for my day-to-day work, primarily due to its user-friendly nature. Although it may not seem intuitive at first, it becomes quite easy to navigate over time, making it a reliable asset in managing our website's build and operations. I had some experience with other similar tools, but Contentstack stands out as the best, offering significant advantages compared to the alternatives I've tried. Moreover, the initial setup process was straightforward and intuitive, even without prior experience, enhancing my overall efficiency. It's also worth noting that despite its sophisticated capabilities, Contentstack integrates well with other software like Talon One and Yotpo, which further streamlines my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

I find the notification of changes in Contentstack could be improved. A couple of weeks back, the interface changed slightly, which wasn't a huge issue, but it would be better if they could send notifications or emails discussing these changes before they happen, rather than after. "Way easier to make your own and learn to use than other CMS products"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack offers a LOT of the capabilities I used to have to research, implement, test and continuously update and manage through plug-ins when my site ran on Wordpress. It's nice having everything available just from Contentstack's product line. It's much easier for my small team to manage the backend as admins and set up workflows. We brought in a new hire right after we moved to Constentack and asked him to become our subject matter expert on it. There were tons of courses and resources available directly from Contenstack to quickly get him up to speed and rock and rolling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

We're thrilled to hear that Contentstack has made managing your site easier and more efficient for your team! We appreciate your feedback on areas for improvement and will work closely with our dev team to address any standard CMS features that may be missing. The flexibility. Overall, it is a good CMS in terms of being able to develop it and mould it into what you need to fit your requirements and support the business. "Intuitive CMS: Why Contentstack empowers our non-technical teams"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack has become a core component of our content operations, serving as the central hub for both our website content and all of our CRM communications. As a non-technical user, my experience has been largely positive, especially regarding how quickly we’ve been able to scale our content output and onboard new team members.

For our non-technical teams, the user interface is incredibly intuitive and easy to use. This simplicity is a massive win, making the platform genuinely simple to use and to onboard users without needing a deep dive into code or complex documentation.

I also appreciate the platform's modular approach, which gives us many different content "modules" to choose from. This flexibility allows us to structure content exactly how we need it for different channels. For my daily work, adding assets and localized content is straightforward. I can easily manage multiple language versions of an entry, which has significantly streamlined our international publishing workflows. The quick adoption and high comfort level among our editors prove the success of its design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

While the daily content editing is smooth, I do encounter a couple of recurring technical frustrations, particularly within the Asset Manager.

My biggest pain point is the occasional bug when uploading assets. The search function for a specific folder directly from the assets page often acts up. It will either fail to return results or just be generally unresponsive. The workaround is to click on "upload" and then search for the desired folder from that specific modal, which is a bit of a nuisance when I’m just trying to locate an existing image.

Also, while I find localization easy, I know other teams struggle with the platform’s limitations on bulk operations (like publishing more than 20 entries at once). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for this incredible feedback, we’re thrilled to hear how Contentstack has become the hub for your content operations. It’s exactly why we designed our platform with intuitive workflows, modular flexibility, and streamlined localization at its core.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with Asset Manager and bulk publishing. Our product team is actively focused on optimizing both areas to make asset management and high-volume publishing even smoother. Thank you for being part of the Contentstack community and for helping us get better every day.

"A flexible CMS that supports smooth migrations and structured content management"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack makes it easy to manage structured content across multiple teams. The platform is intuitive, and its modular content model fits well with enterprise needs. We’ve found it especially helpful during our migration from Contentful—lift-and-shift was straightforward, and the support team has been responsive throughout. The ability to organize content by categories and track engagement metrics is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

While the platform is powerful, the learning curve for new users can be steep, especially when configuring environments and workflows. Some integrations require more manual setup than expected, and documentation could be more detailed in certain areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for sharing your experience migrating to Contentstack! It’s great to know your migration from Contentful went smoothly , that’s exactly the kind of agility we aim to deliver. We appreciate your feedback on documentation and onboarding. "Highly robust and flexible CMS"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack's ability to automate processes is critical to our operations. We run a large utility company, and all notifications about construction and outages must reach our customers efficiently. With a well-established process in Contentstack, our customer service team is self-sufficient in sending out notifications. Automated processes ensure that the latest updates are always visible to website users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

There are mainly limitations in the rich text editor that could be improved in my opinion. However, I think these are issues that our web cosultants could fix with a better setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Contentstack! We are thrilled to hear that our platform has been instrumental in streamlining your operations and improving customer communication. YS
"Empowers Content Flexibility, Needs Better Entity Management"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I like the ability to create and manage the content types in Contentstack and the flexibility this offers with the use of references and global fields. Content Types are valuable because I'm able to define models I need to reuse and create a data model that others can be constrained to. References are valuable because they allow me to create more complex models that can more easily reuse data across presentation layers. Global Fields are valuable because they make it faster to create the models, and they also force you to think about whether an object should be scoped to a content type or exist as its own content type. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

I struggled with a few things: 1) The amount of entities grows quickly and it's hard to manage and search for them. A visual tool or naming convention recommendation might help. 2) It's difficult to find practical examples of how presentation and domain data is split in CMS. More examples in the documentation would be beneficial. 3) We have multiple channels (mobile/web, etc.) and lack best practices on sharing content across these channels. We started using abstraction to have a mobile presentation content type reference a global reference type that is shared, but more recommendations from Contentstack would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Hi Yvan,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We really appreciate it.

We’re glad to hear Contentstack’s flexibility around content modeling, references, and global fields has been valuable for your team. We’ve also shared your feedback around entity management at scale, naming conventions, and clearer guidance on domain vs. presentation modeling and multi-channel reuse with our internal teams. This type of input directly informs how we evolve our documentation and Contentstack Academy courses, and we’re actively working to expand practical examples and best-practice guidance in these areas.

In the meantime, if you’d like more tailored recommendations or a walkthrough specific to your architecture, we encourage you to reach out directly to your Customer Success Manager for 1:1 support.

"A user friendly webpage management platform, easy to navigate and responsive"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Each section when editing is made clear to prevent any mistakes when creating and amending web pages. Hyperlinking a website within text is made easy and references make it clear when amending a page after some time. I use ContentStack for work on a daily basis and am satisfied with its functionality and easy use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?
