"Content Stack Review from a developer perspective"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Graphql apis for content delivery is something I like the most.

Support team is very good and they help us in every way possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

* Content stack editor UI has a lot of small bugs and its not very informative about what went wrong.

* Some of the feature needs to be upgraded like sorting of entries based on custom fields instead of just update date and create date in graphql apis

* Content stack editor UI has plugin support for creating custom features that is good but the same is lacking basic features like table properties, etc. Hence users need to create custom plugins for basic features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback! We're happy to hear you appreciate the power of our GraphQL APIs for content delivery and the responsiveness of our support team. We strive to make content management as smooth as possible. We understand the frustration with bugs and unclear error messages. We're actively working on improving the Editor UI experience and making it more informative when issues arise. Your feedback helps us prioritize these improvements.

Regarding custom indexes, please reach out to our support team, they'll guide you through creating a custom index to enable sorting on specific fields. We value your input as we continue to enhance Contentstack. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team or share more feedback in the future.

"Good Middle ground to flow through product content"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack works well with content for different countries, and can handle the load of differing languages flowing in and out with somewhat ease of use. I like that for product content publishes to be successful, that the lines turn green which is helpful to the eye within the stack. Assessing some of the errors and pinpointing where to fix within the product page is user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

The errors that transfer between systems are unexplainable and don't leave the user with much help to remedy the issues. Product content flowing between systems can take longer than 15-20 minutes, causing the user to resend content again into Contentstack. This creates an overflow of unnecessary buildup of data and slows down the "stack" overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

1. There is no Navigation support, like If I need to have site nav in the front end.

2. The level of nesting is restricted till level 4. maximum reference depth limit should be more.

3. Unpubished content is not accessible more than 1 nested level in CMA API.

4. The UID is not same within different branch level.

5. The UID is not same within different stack level.

6. There should be an UID which should be same accross all branch and all stack for a content (It can be unique within Organisational level)

7. The Title change of a content creates a new entry on migration to another branch or stack.

8. Front end Branch merge should be there with a Rollback option.

9. Front end content stack to stack migration should be there.

10. The limit of nested entries should be more than 100 count.

11. There should be a Rollback option of Content Types.

12. Automation hub execution is costly.

"Simplifying Page Creation for Non-Tech Teams"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

With Contentstack we enable the non-tech teams in our company to create landing pages without engineering support. Since we are in control of Contentstack, we can make sure that these teams follow a specifc page strcuture (by creating a defined template where they just populate the content) or allow them to be as creative as they want (by creating components that they can drag & drop and create the page the way they need).

We now have more around 10 non-tech teams creating more than 10 pages per day. This includes the Localisation team which uses a plugin to connect Contentstack to their L10n tool. Every time we create a new page, the team is notified automatically so they can work on it.

Contentstack also gives us great customer support. We have quarterly meetings with them, but it's also very easy to communicate with them if we need some urgent support, either via chat or via email Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

Even though the UI is good in general, there are some cases where it could be improved. For example, if a page has a lot of fields, it can get very messy and hard to understand the content hierarchy.

Global fields are not very intuitive. We assumed that they would work in a certain way and then we made a small change in one global field that resulted in a massive loss of data. Thankfully, the support team helped us to retrieve the pages. The UI, however, didn't alert us that this would happen if we preceeded Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
