"Intuitive UI and Time-Saving Live Previews"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I use Contentstack for content management across multiple websites, handling everything from copy and images to videos and site configurations. I love how it provides a centralized and user-friendly space, making it easy for even non-technical team members to use. The intuitive UI really stands out to me, as it simplifies navigation and usability significantly. Another feature that I find incredibly beneficial is the live preview, which is a huge plus for my workflow. It allows me to see changes in real time, enabling quick adjustments without needing to save first, thus saving time and ensuring that updates look exactly as desired. Lastly, the initial setup was straightforward thanks to the Contentstack starter kit, which was extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

I find the conditional showing of input fields in Contentstack a bit limited. Specifically, there's an issue when some fields have certain configurations that restrict their conditional display. For example, if a File input is set to 'Accept Images only,' it can't be conditionally shown or hidden, which limits flexibility and customization in displaying input fields. "Empowers Agile, Multi-Channel Content Management"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack is a headless CMS that excels at managing and delivering content across multiple channels—websites, apps, email platforms, and more—from a single central hub. It allows teams to create reusable content blocks, collaborate efficiently, and update or launch campaigns quickly without relying heavily on developers. Its API-driven architecture makes it flexible and scalable, supporting complex enterprise projects with multiple brands and locales, while easily integrating with other tools like CRM, analytics, and e-commerce platforms. In short, Contentstack enables fast, agile, and consistent content delivery across any digital channel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

While Contentstack offers powerful flexibility and scalability, it does have some drawbacks. The platform can be costly for small businesses, and its headless structure may pose a learning curve for non-technical users. Initial setup and custom integrations often require developer support, and unlike traditional CMSs, it provides limited built-in templates, meaning front-end layouts usually need to be built from scratch. For simpler projects, Contentstack can feel overly complex, and some advanced marketing features may require additional third-party tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Headless Content Management Platform with Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack is a headless CMS that enables companies to create custom-coded templates and components that can be reused, allowing non-technical publishers to leverage them. The platform offers a high level of flexibility and customization. The support and account teams are fabulous, proactively reaching out to schedule QBRs and sharing product updates and feature releases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

A developer or technical team is required to update or create new templates. If you are a small team or don't have a developer on staff, you will need to hire someone to create and update new templates and components for your website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It is very versatile when implementing new landing pages on the website."
What do you like best about Contentstack?

It is a very accessible platform when it comes to adding assets, entries, and components. Additionally, it offers a variety of tools that help improve the portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

Adding images to the components is quite complicated and laborious. Furthermore, the system does not always save the state you were in. For example, if you select an image that is in a folder located in the fifth position, after doing so you have to go through the entire path from the beginning again to select a new asset, as it does not remember the previous location. "Intuitive Headless CMS with Powerful Collaboration and Scalability"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

The headless CMS and its ability to publish content instantly have been a real lifesaver for us. The UI and UX are both very intuitive and thoughtfully designed, making it easy for end users to navigate.

I especially appreciate how it organizes different elements such as pages, components, content, and popups into clear categories. Unlike other CMS platforms we've used, it doesn't lag, and our content team can publish with minimal technical expertise or programming knowledge. This flexibility also gives developers the freedom to create components for us as needed.

Its impressive how we can easily go to previous versions and since we are hospitality company, it is important for us to be always update the website with the updated content. This is where we use scheduling option which was not there in our old CMS.

It's impressive that the platform allows developers to work independently while still collaborating effectively with the content team. Developers can focus on building the front-end experience, while the content team can publish content at the same time.

Another advantage is that content serves as a central piece, which we can reuse across multiple components without duplication.

The availability of UAT, STG, and Prod environments is invaluable, allowing us to use the system for different purposes seamlessly.

Being cloud-native, the platform is capable of handling large-scale deployments and managing high traffic efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

At times, I find the pricing to be higher compared to other options available in the market.

Additionally, the platform seems to provide only a limited set of out-of-the-box features, particularly when it comes to advanced personalization and analytics reporting. To utilize these capabilities, third-party integrations are required, which might not be feasible for smaller companies.

For larger organizations, the process of submitting content for approval within Contentstack can be cumbersome, since the only method is to send a UAT or staging link for approval. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dynamic Content Made Easy, But Learning Curve for Updates"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I appreciate Contentstack for its ability to facilitate the creation of dynamic content, which is crucial for managing and publishing deals efficiently. I also find the padflow design aspect of Contentstack particularly beneficial as it helps organize collections very well, streamlining my workflow and making the content management process more structured and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

The search feature is a little wonky, which can make finding content more difficult than it should be. Additionally, the frequent updates require me to relearn things or adjust to new interfaces, which can be a bit disruptive to my workflow. The initial setup of Contentstack was also quite tricky, as we had to find ways to mirror the CMS for our specific needs, which took considerable effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Thank you for sharing your experience with Contentstack! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the ease of creating dynamic content and the padflow design for organizing collections. We understand your concerns about the search feature and the learning curve with frequent updates. Our team is continuously working to improve the search functionality and provide smoother transitions with updates. "Future Forward Thinking CMS"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I have used many CMSs as a website editor, and Contentstack does a great job of offering flexibility while not being too complicated to learn. I use Contentstack every day for multiple different websites and have had to train employees how to use Contentstack. overall it is pretty intuitive. When I do run into problems, the Contentstack support team is friendly and responsive. Contentstack is now offering more capabilities with AI and personalization that brings it to the next level for marketing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

Currently, my only problem with the CMS is that there is a lack of contrast between fields while building a page. If I am working on a page while many accordions, it is easy to get lost in the stack if I have too many open at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Still working around issues, but I get things done"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I use Contentstack almost every workday, and although there are things about it that could be improved, I can generally do what I need to do without any major delays or frustrations. Simple content updates are relatively quick and easy. Depending how your applications are set up, workflows can be efficient. The option to save, publish live, or publish to preview/test environments is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

One of my applications is set up in a very convoluted way, and it would take significant, expensive developer time to fix it. We don't even have access to a development environment to make simple changes, which means we're left to make do. There are also parameters that are frustratingly inaccessible. Additionally, we have a misalignment between master entries and localizations in two of our applications, and Contentstack still has not helped us resolve this issue after more than a year. It creates inefficiencies and confusion. This means job security for me, but it also means the learning curve is prohibitively steep for any part-time or temporary user. Finally, although they seem to have worked on the search function over the last year or so, I still find it lacking. It's not smart enough. The rich text editor is also still cumbersome here and there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

"Friendly CMS interface"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I like the options for content model setup as well as the ability to specifically target different environments for publishing. The interface is fairly clean and easy to interact with as well. The api options have also integrated fairly easily with our apis for updates and content retrieval. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

I think the localization can lead to some accidental issues if you are handling multiple locales. Other tools I have used allow fields that match to still be in sync even if the locale has been split so that updates after initial creation and splitting don't require duplicate effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about Contentstack! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the user-friendly interface, content model setup options, and seamless integration with APIs. We understand your concerns about localization issues and duplicate efforts. Our team is continuously working to enhance our platform and address such feedback to provide a smoother experience for our users. If you have any specific suggestions or further feedback, please feel free to reach out to our support team or your Customer Success Manager. We are here to assist you in maximizing the benefits of Contentstack for your website's content management needs. Thank you for choosing Contentstack!

"Empowers Teams with Flexible, User-Friendly Website Management"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Contentstack helps our team streamline website management across our department. Its headless CMS is flexible which allows us to build fast, while the marketing team manages content independently. You also don't have to be extremely technical to work daily in the platform which is a huge benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

If we want to build out additional modules, it does require dev work to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We understand the need for additional dev work for building out modules and are continuously working to improve our platform to address such concerns.
