What do you like best about Contentsquare?

In the last months I've had the opportunity to study what the tool offers. In my opinion, it is one of the best tools in the market used to study how users interact with your website, investigate various errors and improve the conversion rate. By offering various analyzes such as customer journey and zoning analysis, everything becomes easier for us digital analysts, given the numerous emerging evidences. What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

What do you like best about Contentsquare?

Contentsquare is a powerful tool with excellent journey visualisation and on-page analysis that we use extensively to assist decision-making, particularly in UX design and creative performance. It has also been instrumental in helping to locate and prove user pain points, assisting the development teams with session replays where they can see the issue and with data to help prioritise accordingly.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

With the power of the tool can come complexity. Taking full advantage of the tool can involve quite a steep learning curve, which can be challenging to build into the team's week. I really like the heatmapping tools and ability to give thorough analyses to our clients who utilize this platform as to what is working on their pages and why. I like to compare segments of different users based on both analytical and transactional data. Measuring business impact of having more people in segment A or B is pretty valuable for feature prioritization. the level of insights you can gather is unbelievable - contentsquare allows you to deep dive into specific user behaviours throughout the user journey. you can see what behaviours are generating good conversions, what paths work the best and what elements on a page could be tweaked to drive greater outcomes. it's quick to gather insights. What do you like best about Contentsquare?

It's great that there is impact quantification so you can measure how much value changes are making, and being able to run heatmaps side by side is great too (especially with the level of detail that segments allow you to go into).

I've always felt that the team and support are very responsive and quick to resolve issues.

The page mapping can be a positive feature but can also be a hindrance. When using mappings for journey analysis, sometimes it's better have the ability to view grouped pages, but when you want to drill down you have to go back and map all those pages, which can be time-consuming AND requires constant maintenance. What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

As mentioned above, the mappings can be time-consuming, and the logic in which they have been made will defer from person to person, so you might end up with lots of different mappings which can get confusing.

Having used similar tools before, I think some features should be the standard part of the product. Development of new features seems a bit slow, so they need to catch -up to remain competitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The tool is so complex, that even the Contentsquare employees don't understand all it has to offer. It's a steep learning curve, for sure. Needs a lot of hand on time with the rep for the layman to understand how to benefit from the tool. Hard to get stakeholders buy in since they don't have the time to fully understand it.
