What do you like best?

Dynamic yield in my opinion is the most advanced personalization tool on the market that doesn't compromise on the complexity of use, it allows marketing teams to regain control over complex use cases that would otherwise require development resources.

It advantageously replaces 3 tools: trigger email , A/Btesting, product recommendation within a single solution, and 1 user ID facilitating omnichannel personalized experiences.

In addition, the server-side APIs potentially allow for an unlimited number of use cases.

What do you dislike?

What do you like best?

Granular product recommendations are easy to set up and refine constantly. It is incredibly easy and fast to set up A/B testing for any product recommendations, site banners, copy, site images, and more. It is also simple to set up tests thar run themselves. What do you dislike?

Exporting data for off-site analysis is complex and I usually end up using screencaptures to show the data instead. The dashboard is currently being worked on in beta for internal use and I can't wait till it is available for end users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I love the fact that you can preview your changes before you go live with them, and that you can basically edit add/remove anything from the website in an easy way. The option to receive a notification email when test results are in, is great so you don't have to regularly check for results. What do you dislike?

Third party hosting, which might have content blocked by adblockers. I've also had some problems uploading images for experiments, but it's usually functional. Only experienced this twice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using it to display product recommendation widgets both on the website and recently in emails as well. Also use it to display popups and adding/removing content. A/B testing is super easy with Dynamic Yield. We recently also tested using Dynamic Yield recommendations in newsletters(email). What do you like best?

All in one tool. You not only can activate personalized content for your audience but also, you can create A/B test within the tool. Also, you can send customized emails campaigns or emails based on user actions (e.g. shopping cart recovery)

The predictive targeting engine is also great allowing you to find hidden personalization opportunities.

The tools have a lot of pre-created modules, i.e. adding a recommendation widget or a promotion counter to your site is really easy and fast

What do you dislike?

Not as easy as I would like implementation.

Also, not an easy way to show the value provided by the tool.

As an agency, this is critical, although right now, it can be challenging to show the value of Dynamic Yield for a client.

I miss an API to easily extract the info from the tool and be able to work with 3rd party tools like Data Studio.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Dynamic Yield is a good choice if you already have experience doing testing and feel that you already have got the most of your testing tool and want to move to more advanced ways of improving the performance of your website or app.

Primary, the problem we resolve with Dynamic Yield is to be able to offer personalization capabilities to websites/apps at scale. Historically, being able to provide personalization capabilities to websites like what Amazon does was, let's say, challenging and not cheap.

With Dynamic Yield, you can add a lot of personalization capabilities like recommendations modules based on the user affinity to specific products or send emails based on user actions like abandoning the shopping cart.

Also, to apply personalization at scale, the tool helps you to find hidden personalization opportunities within your campaigns, highlighting variants that perform best for a given audience even if the variant is not the winner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dynamic Yield would be well suited to businesses of all sizes and industries. Like with all testing platform the business would need appropriate levels of traffic to be able to experiment and personalise with success.

That being said the product recommendation features would be universally suitable and would help to achieve step change results if there has not been development in this area previously.

After using many SaaS platforms across different disciplines I can say hands down Dynamic Yield offers the best support and customer success I have ever experienced.

Every level of interaction is professional, helpful and drives action.

What do you like best?

What do you like best?

The visual edit functionality is brilliant - being able to make quick changes to HTML and CSS on site makes day-to-day changes much quicker.

The A/B testing functionality is also very good (admittedly we have a separate team to code for us) but they have always had a positive experience with DY, and as such we're able to seamlessly launch some quite complex tests on quick rotation.

I also particularly like the Strategies functionality, which we use in a number of places across our site, and is very effective indeed and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The ease of use of some of the basic elements is not as user-friendly as I'd like. For example changing some images on site require coding as opposed to a quick visual edit. Selecting div's is also quite convoluted, a simple up/down function within a nested div would be very useful indeed and ensure you're selecting the correct element. Also setting up experiences between desktop/mobile sites can be quite laborious- a way to make this easier would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dynamic Yield is a great system for testing, personalisation, creating audience segments, dynamic links and strategies. It is able to be integrated to a number of key platforms and other software, and thus is a vital part of our analytics suite. The support you receive is very good, with regular check-ins, updates and reviews. I would certainly recommend if you are looking for a do-all, easy-to-use expereince optimisation platform. Cost - They were way cheaper than most of the leading companies, especially at scale. Most of the others have server caps which limited us.

Triggers - The secret to personalization is what can you trigger off of. They easily had the broadest number of options to trigger off of.

Quick on-boarding - we really pushed Dynamic Yield to have the software up and running on our platform in less than a month, this was achieved through effective collaboration between our ecom and dev teams and the DY on-boarding team.

Attentive and responsive account management - is a major plus point, the account team are always at the end of a phone line or respond to an email within the hour even when travelling.

What do you dislike?

The reporting functionality needs work - for example it would be good to have a more detailed dashboard that you could customise to suit you needs and then export as a PDF report, currently we export data on a campaign by campaign basis which is fairly time consuming. What do you like best?

Using out of the box widgets to start tests immediately. The visual editor enables us to insert new website elements and cusomize them on the fly.

Dynamic Yield is myfirst choice for AB testing and personalization. The tool enables us to setup a test very quickly and give a try for new approches in CRO. If you don´t have any HTML / JavaScript skills it still has some Widgets which an be customized. You need some basic web development skills to use the complete potential of the tool. What do you like best?

The platform is easy to use despite having so much to offer and do with it. Our Senior Customer Success Manager Doron has been great at setting us all up and ensuring we are comfortable using the platform which has led to us launching several tests and experiences within the first few weeks of using DY. We have constant support from Doron and the team and they will always go over and above to make sure we can put out ideas in to motion whilst keeping us on the right track when we might sometimes get a bit carried away!

It's really easy to set up tests/experiences and preview them before going live which is so handy on our busy team to check our work before we put it live. This has helped iron out any issues before we put something on the site.

Reporting is easy to decipher and gain insights from with a handy probability % so you know when a test has come to a final conclusion rather than just assuming! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Identifying our new vs returning customers and giving them more tailored experiences based on their very different behaviours.

We were able to increase our new customer sign ups significantly using DY and target them with messaging to encourage them to come back and purchase with us again.

Gaining insights from customers directly and quickly using pop up questionnaires which has helped us get feedback on avenues we were looking to explore which has been hugely insightful.

What do you like best?

Dynamic Yield is a good choice if you have (and of course you have) a restriction of IT-Ressources handy for Marketing Use Cases. It's an easy tool for AB-Tests and Personalization Use Cases. There are a lot of templates you can choose from and use basic HTML and CSS to edit it according to your needs and you webshop's CI. The Customer Success Manager and the Technical Engineer who are your contact persons are very helpful developing high value use cases and are always very fast in response time if a question pops up. The support team is always just a chat window away.

The DY-Community is also an advantage I don't want to miss. Great summits with get-togethers with other DY Users to exchange ideas on Use Cases and upcoming features is the key to grow your personalization skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The Preview Mode could be improved. It would be great if it's possible to upload your Webshops Font into the templates as well as standard elements like a CTA-Button.

The Time targeting Condition should be set to the 24-hours-clock like in the countdown templates to be able to start and stop use cases at midnight. There is always an insecurity if midnight is 12am or 12pm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are using the full range of Dynamic Yield but haven't rolled out the recommendations completely so far, due to an outstanding AB-Test against our current provider.

AB-Tests are set up very easy for specific audiences.

During our first 10 Months of Using Dynamic Yield we have set up more than 120 Audiences and have currently almost 100 Experiences running which help us to understand our users even better and to increase the conversion rate significantly.

Complex use cases like providing the user with guidance and inspirational content during his customer journey matching his affinity are easily solved with Dynamic Yield.

Working with Dynamic Yield is very intuitive and requires little technical understanding to set up your own tests.

The ability to import product data, use tracking events and define different audiences makes Dynamic Yield a very powerful tool. It allows us to bring our data and business logic into the tool.

What do you like best?

In home24 we do use Dynamic Yield in several departments, to be precise in Marketing within Merchandising, Personalization, Affiliate and in Product Tech for the function of Messaging, Product Recommendation and Dynamic Landing pages.
