Here's What Reviewers Working at smaller Businesses Have to Say About Event Marketing Software

What Small-Business Professionals Liked What Small-Business Professionals Disliked

Eventbrite: “Eventbrite is extremely helpful for me with my small business. I am able to invite customers and friends to various events that I do, or I am involved with. I don't think I could run my small business as effectively without Eventbrite.”

Read Review

AllEvents: “They closed my account for NO REASON given. I had almost 7,000 followers and many events we promote, they removed EVERYTHING, yet I was a PRO account & paid them”

Read Review

AnyRoad: “The staff and customer service is wonderful”

Read Review

Eventbrite: “Horrible customer service, missing money and they refuse to explain where the money went, they restrict payouts multiple times with no heads up at all and refuse to communicate, the company is a complete SCAM!”

Read Review

Premagic: “Photos after events is an age old problem and we all know that feeling of "Hey, can you send me my photos?" Either we will get the whole dump of event photos, good luck finding your face in 13K photos, or the event manager has to manually look for you and send you your 3 photos, when you know there were more. So yeah, Pre-magic solves for all of that and more. Recommended if you do physical events. Really boosts post event publicity on socials, because your attendees have them at the day of event itself, in real time.”

Read Review

Eventbrite: “Our company have been using Eventbrite for quite some time now and have never had any issues, but unfortunately we have recently run an event and we were setup on partial payouts so we were receiving a portion of the ticket sales on the 1st and 15th of every month. Unfortunately we didn't receive the partial payment or the final payment on the few days leading up to and following our event. These last 2 payments were showing in our Eventbrite account as already been paid out, but unfortunately the funds never reached our account. I chased this up with the payments support team at Eventbrite and finally, 1 month later the payments are reversed and are transferred back to Eventbrite, saying that I needed to update my bank details for the payment that is being sent, even though we had already received previous payments to this same account. We have now re-initiated the payments to try and send them to the updated account, but unfortunately it is now well beyond 2 months after the event finish date and we still haven't received our final payments. Very Disappointing! Eventbrite have defended themselves by saying it isn't their fault and the cause is on the banks end. This may be so, but it still isn't good enough and there needs to be another option for receiving payouts in cases where this happens, such as Paypal or direct credits to a debit card. We are now at a point where we need to take this matter further to get a positive result and our money back.”

Recommendations To Others Problems Solved & Benefits

Cvent Event Marketing & Management: “Cvent is a great solution for our event needs. I recommend learning how they can work with your organization.”

Read Review

AddCal: “Before AddCal, we manually created separate calendar file attachments or links for each platform, which meant extra steps for us and confusion for attendees unsure how to add the event to their own calendar. This has measurably improved attendance, since fewer people forget sessions they've technically registered for, and the subscription-sync feature means schedule changes reach attendees instantly instead of requiring a follow-up email.”

Read Review

Certain: “It is a very robust system and more software than a lot of people need, but if you have complex programs, definitely consider Certain.”

Read Review

Brushfire: “Brushfire simplifies complex registration workflows, eliminating manual tracking for large events.”

Read Review

Swapcard: “All major event platforms claim to be 'all in one', but they aren't and some have major elements like registration missing - Swapcard gets the closest and is the most easy to use.”

Read Review

Constant Contact: “It has been extremely time efficient for managing and updating memberships (over 600), merging duplicate profiles, and sending email bursts quickly to selected lists. Seamless Canva access also saves time.”
