What do you like best about Samsara?

I find being able to see the truck live and monitor its speeds really helpful for deliveries. The camera system has a lot more clarity compared to our previous system. I really like that Samsara is small and can be hidden behind the rear-view mirror. The best feature for me has been how quick and easy it is to install, taking a maximum of 15 minutes. The installation process was straightforward with instructions that were very easy to follow, and I am very happy with the easy navigation of the portal. What do you dislike about Samsara?

I use GoComet for tracking shipment status and maintaining proper documentation, and it has good document verification and reading capabilities. I find that data updates are automated, which means I don't need to check the websites of carriers repeatedly, and compliance management is streamlined, allowing me to handle large volumes of shipments easily. The reports and analytics features are a great advantage as well. GoComet has a great UI, and the customer support is awesome, taking feedback seriously and solving issues quickly. I really like the new AI features, which include a range of AI agents that integrate seamlessly and speed up my work. These AI features help me identify shipments that need action, and I can send emails through Outlook integration. It's cost-friendly, customer-focused, and a great product technically. I really like working with the brokers through Freightview because it's easy and unique for us to communicate online without having to call them. It makes my job easier, especially when there's no communication on the other side of the work facility, and they even contact customers for me when I'm unable to. I appreciate how straightforward Freightview is with no hidden features; everything is there to see, learn, and use hands-on, making it an amazing website for logistics. My experience using Freightview for the first time this past year showed me it’s way smoother than other logistics facilities. The setup was really easy, and learning it was like, easy peasy. They're always updating the system, communicating with us about updates or shutdowns, keeping it where it needs to be. It makes tracking bills of lading much simpler. We can track by OBL or by container, which helps us schedule the manpower needed to process containers. What do you like best about StockIQ?

We began implementing SIQ in 2020 to replace the manual, Excel-based forecasting we had been using previously. The SIQ team handled the integration with our ERP system (EPICOR). Since adopting SIQ, our team has gained much greater insight into stock levels, stock movement, forecasts, and more. The alert features are also very useful, as they allow us to focus on exceptions rather than trying to keep an eye on every product. The SIQ team is incredibly knowledgeable and has provided excellent training. They are also continually evolving the software, so it’s always exciting to see new features and explore how we can use them. Their support team is also excellent, and if we do have issues with data or refreshing, they are always there to help diagnose and solve the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StockIQ?

Our data wasn’t in the best condition, so implementation took longer than we expected. Especially early on (as with any software like this), you really have to pay close attention to the outputs it’s producing. We had a few wildly wrong order suggestions, which came down to our poor data rather than SIQs system, so it’s important to have your team in place to spot issues quickly and address the underlying data. If there are data issues or refresh issues, it can sometimes be a little hard to diagnose the issue within SIQ - having said that, whenever we have had issues, the support team have been great with resolving it.

The release notes and guides are very useful with each release, but the training videos in the Help centre aren’t always updated to reflect the changes that come in. It would be great to see this fleshed out a bit more and kept up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StockIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

Historically our forecasting was Excel-based, so trying to forecast for products was very slow and - at times - very inaccurate. It was also very difficult to see trends of our products, product groups etc. SIQ has helped us massively in both these areas, and is used every day by our team. Driveroo was quickly configured to exactly meet our business needs. We use Driveroo for maintaining our fleet of tour vehicles. These vehicles are highly regulated and inspected annually by the California Highway Patrol. The reporting and transparency of our vehicle inspections and maintenance impressed the CHP and they could not find any issues with our documentation. Our Finance team enjoys the accurate and detailed tracking of our labor and material costs. For our fleet maintenance team, the dashboard are extremely helpful and value-added. We are a retail company, and we previously used Excel to forecast future demand based on sales data from various sales channels.

However, due to the very large number of SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and business expansion, we were unable to manage everything effectively, which led to problems with overstocking and stockouts (out-of-stock situations). Siloed knowledge (or dependence on specific individuals) was also a key challenge.

The livechat support team is highly knowledgeable and quick to respond. If the team can't answer the question, they are swift to forward it on to the subject matter experts and the team will always get back within 24 hours. The application is intuitive to use and it's very easy to configure the different options you want your drivers to use. The team continue to follow up with us until every query is answered! Occasionally, drivers in remote or regional areas can have issue with data sync. However, following proper practices such as end of day syncing can resolve the issue.
