"Amazing app to connect with other event attendees"
What do you like best about Whova?

Being a recent attendee to Women of Steel I found their use of the Whova app to be extremely beneficial in connecting with others who I would have not had the chance to meet otherwise. It was interactive, with polls and Q&A for the sessions, incorporated some meetups, and I was able to connect with some potential future clients. I love the way it integrates with Linkedin. I added a number of new connections and look forward to introducing myself. I am going to go through the attendees now that the event is over and see who else I can network with. Overall, this app made the event much more valuable than it would have been without it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

I didn't see any downsides to using the app as a guest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Loved being able to scan all attendees..."
What do you like best about Whova?

As a vendor, being able to scan each participant and getting their contact info was amazing. Usually you have to pay a lot of money for this, and while I'm sure the organizer may have had to pay extra, as an end user I really liked this feature. It's easy to show the benefit of the event to my team and to follow-up with important leads. The scanning was easy and the tags/notes were beneficial too. I also like the feature that the organizer could message everyone easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

The only real downside I noticed was the community boards and some of the chats. I'm not sure what they are, and how to use them best. I'm sure if I use this app again it will be more clear but being a first time user it was a bit overwhelming, and I was not sure how to interact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Whova app used for the NE HR Conference was amazing."
What do you like best about Whova?

Everything is in one place. From the hotel accommodations and directions, to the meet-ups, the floor map. This app is very easy to use. It is simplified, yet with many functions. You can send/receive messages, notifications, earn points, and see the leaderboard in real time. You can view the sessions, then add the ones that you want to attend to your agenda. During your session you can take notes right there in the app next to the session. This helps remember who said what and helps remember the materials. Also, you can add photos of the power points, so you are not busy writing the whole time. The notes and photos are emailed to you so you can retain them - no half-used notebooks with info scribbled all over them - that you can never find! It is all kept electronically and easy to refer to. This is an innovative app that I have used several times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

Only 20 notes/photos allowed per session. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great app could be even better with a few tweaks."
What do you like best about Whova?

Having all of the attendees in one place and searchable by key tags such as interests or job titles. Huge benefit for speakers to be able to market themselves to a target audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

The amount of notifications made it difficult to know when a notification was from someone trying to make contact or just an announcement from the app developer or a “canned” message from the event directors. It became difficult to navigate person to person discussions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"exceptional app!"
What do you like best about Whova?

The entire conference agenda is included, and there is a section for just the things you registered for, making it easy for you to plan your day. There are announcements for location changes. It also integrates with other calendars you may prefer to use. All the attendees are listed, and you can reach out to them to connect, and if you forgot your business cards, you can scan an attendee's QR code. All the networking options you need are there. In each session, there is the ability to take notes that save to the session, keeping you organized, and you can remember who the presenters were. There are also maps attached to the workshop or seminar locations in case your conference is spread out over a large university campus, for example. It's easy to use and figure out, and I used it multiple times per day on my phone and on my iPad, before I left for the conference, and I will use it after the conference to refer to my notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

The notes piece was slightly finicky on the iPad - keep shutting down while I was typing, but the notes all saved! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Event App with Great Features"
What do you like best about Whova?

Whova is fairly intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes a big difference during busy events. I especially appreciate that each session has a dedicated place for Q&A, note-taking, and chatting with other attendees. Having all event documents in one place is very convenient, and the event guide helps keep everything organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

When I get a notification about a reply or reaction, it doesn’t take me directly to that specific response, which would be a helpful feature. Also, communities, topics, and polls can feel a little jumbled, so a clearer layout in that area would improve the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Event App for Networking and Planning"
What do you like best about Whova?

I loved how easy it was to connect with attendees—messaging, group discussions, and contact sharing were seamless. The agenda tools made planning my visit effortless, and having every presentation available in one place meant I never missed key information. I also appreciated being able to share a QR code to quickly exchange my contact details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

I may have missed a few opportunities in the app simply because I wasn’t aware of all the features at first. A clearer introduction or guided tour for first-time users would make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Powerful Tool for Conference Connections"
What do you like best about Whova?

Whova is an incredibly useful tool for navigating conferences and building connections. It allows attendees to view the full agenda, create personalized schedules, and connect directly with other participants and presenters. The attendee list makes it easy to remember names, titles, and organizations, which is especially helpful in large spaces. The messaging and discussion boards are great for continuing conversations beyond sessions. Plus, the built-in leaderboard and gamification features add a fun and engaging layer that encourages exploration and interaction throughout the event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

The app can sometimes feel a bit cluttered with so many features in one place. Notifications can become overwhelming if not managed, and depending on how organizers set it up, some session info or speaker materials might not be fully updated. Also, if you're not checking it regularly, it’s easy to miss direct messages or announcements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Whova: an app for your event comes alive."
What do you like best about Whova?

I really like using Whova because it keeps everything about the event organized in one place—from the agenda to the tools that help you connect with other attendees. I appreciate how Whova encourages participation through helpful reminders and interactive features. With events like this, where there is so much information that it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or lost, Whova makes the experience clearer and more manageable. It truly helps you feel included, supported, and like an important part of the event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whova?

One area where I believe the app could continue to improve is by adding a space where attendees can share videos from each workshop. I think this feature would enhance the overall experience, allowing participants to revisit key moments, learn from one another, and stay even more connected throughout the event.
