## WildApricot Reviews
  ### 1. Wild Apricot: affordable membership management platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** E O. | Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot is a good platform for small to mid-sized associations who need to manage memberships, events and billing all in one place. It is easy to use, can be modified by someone with programming experience and delivers a great customer/member experience.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

I think Wild Apricot has some limits when it comes to formatting communications like emails.
The website user interface templates are a bit boring so we have had to create our own customizations or workarounds to get the look we wanted.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WildApricot is helping us manage member interactions - they can register for events, renew memberships, register for programs and update their profiles with staff intervention. This saves my staff a great deal of time. It also allows members to take control of their own information.

  ### 2. Poor Security and Horrible Customer Service

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P. W. | Emeritus Chairman and Member Board of Directors, TAG Data Science & Analytics Society, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Appreciate the product for someone who wants very simply web presence but accept poor security

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Horrible customer service - even when elevated to certified mail to CEO. Wild Apricot WILL HAVE A CYBER HACK that compromises their client base. I will be moving my private organizations presence to another provider at the end of my subscription.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While I see potential for exactly what our organization wants in virtual presence we simply can't trust an organization like WIld Apricot that ignores client engagement.

  ### 3. Outdated Technology and Limited Features Hold WildApricot Back

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

It is hard to say as I really don't like anything about WildApricot

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

It is so antiquated. The technology is way behind. It has no contact segmenting or tagging. It is difficult to design an email that looks modern.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although it allows us to register for events and communicate with event attendees, it has a very rigid design.

  ### 4. Not a fan because of functionality and price

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan D. | CIO (Chief Idea/Implentation Officer), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

All in one solution. Website creation and member management all in one platform is convenient

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

It's been a bit since I used WildApricot but one of the things I found VERY limiting was the flexiblity of the directory. It display the information but not in a very attractive format and there were/are no options to vary it. I have found better tools for that (also less expensive.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a membershp management platform option to consider but the pricing and flexibility had me looking for better alternatives.

  ### 5. Great easy-to-use platform for Membership, associations, and non-profits

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel R. | Chief Web Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2024

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot is very easy to hand off to the end -user. It is easy to use, hard to 'break' and nearly anyone can pick up on how to use it.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

The biggest downside to Wild Apricot is the the lack of community style functionality. It has great basic features but lacks some of the more modern social features other member driven platforms has. This isn't a major downside, but it is one that can deter organizations that want to build a large online community.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wild Apricot makes member management easy. In comparison to all other competitors I have tried out, Wild Apricot provides the most comprehensive set of features for Member organizations. The database is very easy to use and also very easy to export and import. In my opinion, this is one of its greatest strenghts. Several of the other offerings have a labriynth of sections you have to navigate to deal with user-data.

  ### 6. Software work but options to pay and support are lacking

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kurt U. | Chief Marketing Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2024

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Of the options available for a membership organization or 501c3, it meets the needs for gating content, allowing for membership payments, integration with WordPress.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Unless you have a credit card to pay with, expect major delays or issues. Or, you can pay additional fees to do ACH (something about how WA is set up as an organization in Canada). How can a modern SaaS company not accept debit cards or checks?

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing members only to sign up for events, gating content to members, providing a membership directory, and allowing for membership payments.

  ### 7. My experience with WildApricot

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2023

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

What I like best about WilApricot is that it is like a one stop shop where you can manage memberships, events, booking system, online payment&donations and sending out flyers and newsletters at the same time. There are also templates we can choose on and we can do something and schedule it to go out anytime.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

I find it annoying that there is no simple option to set up an event survey. There must to be a means to email the post-event survey to the attendees of the specified event.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As Event Manager I find WildApricot easier to use. We don't need to use different apps for sending the flyers, accepting payment for our events and event/booking management.

  ### 8. Excellent functionality, easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Recreational Facilities and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2023

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot enables our critical business processes: New Member Acceptance and Membership Renewal. We conduct hundreds of events and classes annually; registration is all handled online through member self-service on Wild Apricot.

We have a complex multi-step (multi-event) new member process, which is enabled by the ability to control event registration by group assignment. We can change group assignments to allow registration in specific events. Once you complete one event step in the process, we change your group to enable registration in the next step. Since we handle over 1,000 new applications and 84 new member events annually, the ability to manage the new member process with this feature is vital to us.

Numerous features in the membership level setup enable renewal flexibility. Invoicing is a hands-off process for us once we get the setup right. On the first day of our fiscal year, the system churns out over 5,000 email renewal invoices, and the online payment service puts the money in the bank. Absolutely huge labor savings and excellent accuracy. The fewer checks we have to handle, the better we like it.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Customer support can be inconsistent. Often, I find a knowledgeable and responsive person; at other times, I have had to repeat myself when reporting a problem.

In the product technical area, two things bother me. One is that the renewal invoice is an invoice for renewal only; it is not presented as an account summary. If a member has an account credit that can be applied to dues, it must be manually applied by the member (or your staff); the system cannot do that.

The other limitation is in the member search capability. We use saved searches regularly, and we have thirteen membership levels. If I want to restrict a search to four levels in the same search, I must exclude the other nine levels in separate arguments. Instead of one search argument, I need nine. There is no way to select multiple levels from a list in a search. This is clumsy and doesn't seem to be difficult to implement.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excellent event management capability and ability to implement complex processes. Automatic renewal invoicing and online payment.

  ### 9. Lack of support, development in spite of multiple price hikes

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kat P. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

All in one tool for member management and event planning

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Lack of Development
Lackluster Support
Multiple Price Increases
Website speed

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wild Apricot has suffered greatly since its purchase by Personify. There have been zero major updates or changes since the purchase. The promised updates to templates and functionality have not come to pass, despite a major price hike. Support has become abysmal. Asking any question or reporting issues is given a rote response. The chat function took over an hour to respond, only to say, “nothing is wrong”, even though the site was not responsive, according to multiple sources. Now, we are told the rate will go up another 20% a year. As a not for profit, this is not sustainable for us.

  ### 10. Use for THREE Separate Organizations--but have concerns

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis B. | Author of The Last Apostle, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2020

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot integrates many of the key membership management functions such as applications, renewals, events, and a website in one platform. Does not require a developer to maintain the site. Can be done by a tech savvy person or team.
In eight years of using have never run into security or hacking issues--unlike other hosts I've used. They're continually improving and upgrading their features and usability.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Two concerns:
1. Is the lack of responsiveness to enhancement requests--some of which are basic and obvious. For example:
    A. If a member changes their membership level (like going from single to family) instead of extending the renewal date a year they CHANGE the renewal date to the date renewed. This penalizes members for renewing early. They are NOT changing their membership date--they are just changing the type. There are 75 votes in enhancement requests to fix this. Some membership managers keep a separate spreadsheet to track renewal dates because of this defect.
    B. The pre-defined dropdown for states for mailing spells out state names (Alaska, Alabama...) instead of the two letter identifier (AK, AL...) used by the post office. You have to build your own. They haven't used full state names since Ben Franklin! An easy and obvious fix--that has been ignored.
2.Formatting pages and text can be a little klugy. Would like to see that enhanced.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Use the trail period and do multiple uploads. Work with the tech support people to figure out things that stump you.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eight years ago I did an evaluation of membership management systems to handle my local writer's association and chose Wild Apricot. This year did a similar evaluation for an Air Force alumni group comparing many other, newer, systems. But WA won the evaluation again. Their support during implementation was excellent. Where a new member used to take half an hour they take five minutes. Renewals take zero minutes typically.

  ### 11. Website and event management for budget friendly price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica V. | Student Accounts Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I like that I can self-manage the website and create events all on my own without having to reach out to someone to do it for me. If you are tech-savvy then it is relatively easy to navigate. There are many options for reporting and page setup.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

I dont like that there is not much live person support if you do have a question on how to navigate something. An actual help line would be great.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wild Apricot helps us keep our ever changing website up to date and create events as needed. As well and track contacts and emails.

  ### 12. User-Friendly Website Development and Membership Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

This program allows you to design or use a template for an easy start-up website. What I like about it is that it integrates the association's function into the website, i.e., our membership process and events. Membership applications and renewals are handled through the website, including approval, invoicing, payments and reminders. Donations are handled through the website as well. Our events are calendared on the website. An e-mail template can be set up for each event and scheduled to send to a select group or entire membership notices about the event, confirmation e-mails, and reminders to those who have already registered. Members can log on to the website, update their information, and access "members only" pages. The website has an easy feature to create a membership directory with photos, link documents, and include your social media buttons. What I really like is the Wild Apricot app that compliments the website functions and membership has an app too to keep up with accounts and registrations!

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

There is not a way to have a "dummy" member to test out features and before going live.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy check-in with the app. It saves on having lists to manually upkeep and revise.

  ### 13. Managing Trade Associations well keeps everyone happy.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nena G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

We manage a variety of non-profit trade associations from a variety of occupations that almost always keep everyone...staff and volunteers engaged. It's a fast-paced way to make a living with rarely a dull moment.

Wild Apricot is good about updating the platform on a regular and consistent basis. They are careful not to make major changes without making sure the platform has been tested and adequate time is allowed to introduce new admin updates before it is understood by the staff impacted by the new process.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

There is always something to gripe about...just because we can! Seriously, little things, like not exporting to the latest excel format makes me grumpy. Having to delete the prior contact name (or part of the name) before beginning to search for the next potential contact for an email that is almost ready to send.

At the end of the day, we have very few things that we truly dislike; we've been with Wild Apricot through six different associations over the years and one went on to another platform under different management.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have benefitted from our association with Affinipay and have had no noticeable loss or complaints by not offering PayPal.

  ### 14. Wild Apricot - Very good solution for many needs from organizations to small businesses.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron G. | Website and Wild Apricot Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2020

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I have used and setup over 30 Wild Apricot accounts for various membership organizations. I also use it daily myself for my own small business. It offers a very nice website (nice themes and flexible layout), excellent event management, contact and member management, and email newsletters all in one package that has always worked. The cost is reasonable when you consider all the features/management in one admin tool.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

There is little I don't like about the service. The only improvement area would be additional/newer themes to choose from. Like any website editor, you can make it your own but up-to-date and new themes makes it really easy to keep your website looking fresh. Everything else in Wild Apricot works exactly as you would expect.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Look at all the separate vendor/software services that you current pay for... and use. Such as a website, email service (ie Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc), event management service, and membership management tools... and if you add up all the costs and hassles I would guess you will find Wild Apricot a good value and everything is in one place.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy management of contacts (prospects), members, events, and communication with them. The management of renewals is automated and it keeps everything to manage these organizations in a single admin tool.

  ### 15. James had his Giant Peach and I embrace Wild Apricot

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** L W. | Agent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I appreciate that while they are constantly adding features, they do so without "losing" their basic navigation so you don't feel lost. It's our membership database, our payment system, our website, our CRM for members and prospects, our events management, the board archives. It is so functional that every time a member says "we should find a way to..." I'm able to say "we already can". For less tech-savvy users, who worry they will disrupt something, admin can assign how much they can touch down to the page level.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

They held their prices steady for a long time but now it seems that annual increases are the norm (gotta pay the developers who are programming all the enhanced features). Some of the dashboard tracking mechanisms can't be reset so "most logins" by someone who is no longer a paying member does not tell me who is my most active current member for example. As that person, whoever they are, would be a prime candidate to replace me one day; so knowing could lead to grooming or at least gauging their interest if not for my role for some other contribution to the leadership team.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I inherited this system and I thank my predecessor for selecting it because even as we grow, we cannot outgrow it. It's a singular repository so each retiring board member can easily pass the baton. If the outgoing person doesn't train their replacement there are plenty of help videos or the admin or any other board member can step in and help train them. No individual effort is too onerous (such as polling members or sending out newsletters or renewal invoices or setting up meetings). If it tracked when to file our docs with the Secretary of State (aka task tracking by deadline), paid for our domain name and room rentals (aka outbound bill pay), provided virtual interface (aka ZOOM) and spend vs budget (aka Excel) we wouldn't have need of anything else! And I haven't checked the project forum -- any or all of those could already be identified and being spec'd.

  ### 16. Pick another platform

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Not much, one of the organizations I am a member of is using this and that is how I became familiar with it.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

So much, It is not easy to navigate.
nothing is intuitive when it comes to adding an event.
if you don't save every page, you lose your info.
there are limits to how many emails, invites, and members can be added before you have to pay more.
there is a large time in sending out emails, so if you need to contact people asap, this is not the place to do it!

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. we have gone back to evite to send out invitations to events

  ### 17. Highly Customizable for all your needs!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghan S. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Combines email communication, event management, and membership database into one efficient, user friendly platform.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Does not create a web link for emails to use for websites or future sharing. International transaction fees. Integration with quickbooks is difficult and if you don't integrate, you'll have to deal with the confusion of their automatically generated invoices. No option to create forms.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Made it easier to do a mass cleanup and purge of our contact database. Communications with members is quicker and easier. Emails are easy to put together and very customizable.

  ### 18. Great associates program for our organization.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

The system keeps good track of our associates. Makes it easy keep them up to date and manage the fees they pay to us. We use an API to interface to external sites and that works great.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

It's sometimes a little difficult to add or change card numbers for our associates. They forget to pay an invoice because it is on autopay and then CAN'T because the card expired and by the time they know that the invoice isn't still open!

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the associates data on some outside programs that allow people to locate the nearest "member" of the association. We also use the membership data base to allow our members to access external websites used for their business. By having those API's available it makes this very simple.

  ### 19. An excellent CRM with great functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rochelle R. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

The member management features in Wild Apricot are very strong. I appreciate how easy it is to ascertain membership level, payment status, past interactions with our events and email newsletters. The events feature is very good. We run a lot of events and have had great success using Wild Apricot for registrations, email alerts for attendees and follow-ups. The email editor is very easy to use, and offers lots of options for custom design and branding, we we really love. I also appreciate how easy it to to see how long someone has been a member. It is a great product overall, we're really happy that we use it in our organization!

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

The biggest area for improvement would be an easier way to edit the front-end, member-facing pages of our Wild Apricot website. While it is possible to edit the CSS files, it is very difficult compared to WordPress, Squarespace and other site building platforms, and we'd really like more capability to easily create a custom site on the Wild Apricot platform. We currently link our Wild Apricot events and registrations to a WordPress website, which we consider our main site for content. We use Wild Apricot as a secondary site for items related to membership like new sign-ups, renewals, event registration and those types of things.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wild Apricot helps us manage our members! We also know an individual's membership status, which organization they belong to, how long they've been a member, and what they're interested in based on their interactions with our events and emails. The biggest problem we've solved it making it so easy to manage membership within our organization - it's way better than a spread sheet!

  ### 20. Wild Apricot at a not-for-profit Boatshare

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert H. | Commodore, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

The database is extensible by our admin team, so it is easy to tailor the system to capture exactly the information that we need on members, event registrations, etc.

The event management function is amazing - we are able to use it for all manner of functions beyond its intended use (selling membership extras after initial signup, incident reports, guest visits)

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Security is not granular enough - it would be great to give our admin users more capabilities without giving them everything.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Use the free version to build and test your application - true opportunity to try it before you buy it.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Self-serve capabilities for members; big solution for a small organizations; no need to maintain an IT competency.

  ### 21. Excellent high value product for small but mighty associations and clubs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

The best thing about the system is how easy it is to configure and learn. Some systems have a very complicated database setup process, but not Wild Apricot. Setting up membership levels, database fields for contacts and members is super easy to do.

The database import function is really powerful as well. It makes sure that all the data you import is correctly organized and validated against business rules in the system.

The other thing I like is that the system makes sure all administrators can participate in the management of the system. There is no limit to the number of administrators that can be assigned to the organization.

We also like the QuickBooks integration using the Wild Apricot QuickBooks Manager and customizing our website with WordPress and the Wild Apricot Text Manager. Both are products from NewPath Consulting (https://waxm.newpathconsulting.com).

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

The website module while usable, doesn't create the most beautiful websites in the world. Luckily there are many Wild Apricot partners that can help create a beautiful website and customize it to our needs.

I am not a huge fan of the new email editor either. It is usable but it is somewhat difficult to create new email templates. I have figured out how to use it but it can be a bit more flexible, but like anything there's somewhat of a learning curve especially if you come from other systems.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Make sure you take a look at the requirements your organization makes before diving in. Wild Apricot is aimed at smaller associations under 5,000 members.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem we are solving is creating a "single source of truth" about all our members and non-member contacts. Not having to go to multiple systems makes the lives of our staff and program volunteers really straight forward.

  ### 22. Wild Apricot is a Great Tool for Smaller Organizations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

One of the best features of WA is online technical support. The client service reps are well versed and provide links to their help wiki as well as screenshots to show you how to accomplish your task. They also do not rush you along and out of the chatbox. They are concerned that you receive the best assistance and that you have an understanding and comprehension of what they have provided you to resolve your issue.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

I find that WA has limited capabilities in the invoice template arena. It is a bit inflexible when it comes to having various templates to be used. For example, New member message/template; Renewing member message/template; and other generic one-off needs for messaging. I would like to also see more flexibility in reporting for membership.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, I have had an in-depth conversation on how to switch our renewal process from one designated date a year to anniversary dates. My rep provided wonderful screenshots and an explanation on how to proceed. I am going to give it a trial run and then touch base if I have further questions.

  ### 23. Wild Apricot is Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lance S. | Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot has been easy to set up and use, in my experience, easy to find answers to my questions and get help from customer service. The range fo services rolled into one package is key for me.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Some idiosyncrasies, as all systems have, but mostly everything works well.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used it for a few different organizations. It's great for event management, for database for contacts and membership with online communications, and the website is easy to use and sufficient for my needs.

  ### 24. A Great Fit For Us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris L. | Pastor of Membership Services and Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot is a simple, all-in-one, solution to member management. It has allowed us to transition membership information from at least four sources to one. It allows easy access to contact our members via email. It has also provided a level of automation to our renewal process that we did not have previously.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

It is not fully customizable to your processes. We did have to adjust several of our processes to fit Wild Apricot. Additionally, the website templates feel old and outdated. They are functional, but could be improved.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It brought our membership database into the cloud, allowing us the flexibility of remote work. We made the transition before Covid-19 was known to anyone. Wild Apricot has allowed us to continue to serve our members, whether working from home, on the road, or in the office.

Moreover, it has automated aspects of our renewal process, saving us close to 15-20 hours weekly. Our processes were extremely manual prior to Wild Apricot. By automating what we could, we've been able to reallocate resources to focus more on member needs.

Additionally, it has become the "single source of truth" for all our membership information. Depending on what information I was after, I used to have to access as many as 4 databases to gain information necessary. Several of those databases, I had to rely on others to provide the information for me. Now everything I need is right at my fingertips.

  ### 25. Wild Apricot Membership Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Membership Secretary, webmaster, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I like Wild Apricot because it keeps track of membership renewals and automatically emails reminders.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

The email editor for contacts and membership could be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Try it out using the free version.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Wild Apricot the membership database was enter manual in Excel.

  ### 26. New Path Consulting / Wild Apricot experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele C. | Freelance Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2021

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Easy to use format, esp for people with little computer experience

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Give up a little flexibility in favor of standardization across platforms, but I recognize that this results in savings to customers.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Join a user group - I'd definitely recommend working with New Path Consulting for initial migration of legacy data and at least for the first year on a consulting basis.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlined operations and a more user-friendly experience for members

  ### 27. It is quite easy to manage the website on WA, good functionality and support

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

easiness in managing events, membership and pages

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

some limitations in the looks of the website, templates. , but I am not experienced with those. Will be great to be able to create a modern-looking homepage

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making our purpose and aims visible to general audience without spending a fortune on the website

  ### 28. Best Association Management Site

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Ease to reach help, set up events and track successes

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Accounting with my quick books and some of the options invoice reminders

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Call the Apricots. They are awesome.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great way to track events and people. Really no problems after initial use and getting familiar with the site

  ### 29. Clunky but gets the job done

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2020

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Once you learn the ins and outs of Wild Apricot, there is a lot that you can do.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

It is not super intuitive. Some features that work on the website creator do not translate to their email editor, fonts don't always save, etc.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage our membership emails and website through Wild Apricot.

  ### 30. Wild Apricot helps us with email, contact lists, and membership.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2020

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

It is pretty easy to navigate. It tracks our data well.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

People constantly create a duplicate record with a second email address. It takes a lot of time to keep the database records clean.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to send emails with a standard template, track open rates, and target our emails.

  ### 31. Membership Survey

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2020

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Ease of use for tech averse people, modern look and feel and prompt, courteous tech support!

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

I would like to see how to flag "suspended" memberships

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adding online sales, increased events, email communication with members and contacts.

  ### 32. A good event signup/management and email integration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I find the post email send data clear and comprehensive

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

There is some kind of bug with formatting emails, where it acts on its own, and even in the code I can't change it.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eblast sending, and event registration management. In comparison to another marketing email program, we appreciate the ability to send targeted emails easily to those who attended an event-- without having to manually create a list one email at a time, and have that list permanently living in our system.

  ### 33. WildApricot Rocks!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Terri R. | Virtual Assistant, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2019

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Membership and event management. We are able to capture pretty much any information we would like to upon registration of members or events.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Limited functionality on the "store" feature. Currently there is not a way to charge one price for shipping but it is in the works.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Wild Apricot is constantly working to improve functionality and add features. They have an extensive knowledge base and tutorials, and their support has been amazing. They are quick to respond and I have never had an issue they couldn't help me with. Their website builder is easy to use and has several templates to choose from that allow you to add your own customization.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to keep track of member renewals and set up automatic payments so that we do not have to invoice every year. We are also able to easily send email communications to our members and contacts.

  ### 34. great for clubs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I like the automation of emails. All memberships are renewed automatically and the events are all automated too.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

a little tricky to use initially and to setup.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Membership management and event management for clubs. Centralises everything for us.

  ### 35. Great Tool for Beginners

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I like the Wild Apricot Member Tribe FB Page for support.
The "help" section is extensive and they send out helpful emails with tips and tricks every week.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Event Management is poor and the forms have limited customizable options.
Reporting is inconsistent...the same fields are not always displayed in the same order which makes comparing sheets difficult.
Many workarounds are needed to complete our tasks.
Customer service is friendly but, the company is pushing self-service for "help." It's understandable to keep pricing down, but it is cumbersome to learn.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Wild Apricot is always updating and expanding offerings. A new event RSVP tool was added recently that I am excited to look into. A new member app has been launched too.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wild Apricot is an excellent database tool to house our membership. There are many pieces that are automated that eliminate hours of manual administrative office work.

  ### 36. It's okay but there are better options that have more functions and are still affordable

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becca D. | Co-Founder & Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I like the price - it's the most affordable association management system we've found. It works pretty well for event registration, too. It has saved me time, and made it easier to track and manage our members. I like to use it for our monthly webinar registration. Much easier than Eventbrite, which we had previously used.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

It isn't very user friendly. I haven't been able to get it to work for automating our membership renewals. It also doesn't have all of the functions that I'd like. I don't always get customer service responses in a reasonable time, and not all of my issues have been resolved. I don't believe they offer the least expensive option that we use anymore, either.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

You might look into other options such as Member365 instead.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm managing my association with more ease - it saves me time and reduces the number of apps that I use to track our members. It works a lot better than Eventbrite for one person who is registering multiple people for an event like our annual conference. We were also able to use it to register for event add-ons like workshops, meals, etc. It easily generates lists of event attendees, which I can export and easily use for creating conference name badges. Overall, it has reduced my workload, which is what we we looking for when we decided to start using it.

  ### 37. Does everything well, but nothing amazing

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve B. | Business Functional Analyst, Salesforce, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

It's easy and all-in-one. I use this with a completely volunteer run organization that I'm a part of outside of my day job, and by using something like Wild Apricot we can mitigate the need for a half dozen separate systems that probably don't talk to each other easily, and do it all under one umbrella. We're a very small group and we don't need our IT needs occupying our time that's better spent elsewhere. Wild Apricot simply takes care of everything we need for our website, membership, events, online store, and much more. It's all in one place, it's relatively affordable, and it just eliminates the hassle for us.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Although it does a lot, it does it all "well" but not "amazing". It's UI and features are miles behind other cheap or even free/open source alternatives. It's a bit of a clunky and dated interface, and even things like the blog capabilities of it don't come anywhere near what other blogging platforms, even simple ones, have to offer. They recently raised the price on the platform, but in my opinion they need to look at what competitors in each space are doing and make those areas of their platform better represent what the market is doing.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Great platform for time and/or resource strapped organizations, but with a little patience or willingness to have separate platforms, you can get stronger individual platforms in each area (at the expense of more time needed to manage each, and/or more cash needed for separate subscriptions). Hopefully they strengthen up in the weak areas sooner rather than later.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the need to have our website, membership database, mailing list, online store, event registration, and blog EASILY taken care of in a very small not for profit that simply doesn't have the time or resources for managing many different IT systems if we tried to do each of those with separate systems.

  ### 38. Wild Apricot as site builder, hosting, and emailing support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

The emails look beautiful and professional and are easy to create and send.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

They issue a domain name and format that may not match your already established website. So you either redo your site's format, embrace the awkward change from one site to the other, or simply build your site through them in the first place.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Try out the trial plan and expand from there.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great platform to build and maintain a large email list with lots of options. You can organize your contacts in multiple ways. They also offer hosting, meaning Wild Apricot can replace several different services all at once. I would recommend testing them out early on in your site building process, rather than switching to them once you are established elsewhere.

  ### 39. Easy platform to manage non-profits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

This website provides an all-one page to effectively manage non-profits. I use it to register people for events; it keeps track of current and past events, along with donations and whether or not a person has paid. It's easy to export information from as well.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

This can be hard to use in that sometimes you have to click back a few times just to get to the page you were on. Going into someone's membership page creates a strange loop that makes it hard to navigate back to an event page.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

I highly recommend!

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were searching for a way to track event particiation and donations, and Wild Apricot provided that. Each person has a "membership" where I can see their past registration and payment history.

  ### 40. Non-profit user management and website

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebekah L. | Industrial Organizational Psychology Graduate Assistant, Professional Training & Coaching, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Liked the membership management feature, especially the ability to bill. It is helpful that the ability to create a website comes with the user management capabilities.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

It's not very user friendly, there are features that require html knowledge.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

It is helpful for managing users. The web interface is kind of behind, but they are continually adding features. Those features just are behind the industry speed. They do listen to their customers.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the user management and website all in one place.

  ### 41. Simple Platform - Easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Recreational Facilities and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I like that the platform is simple - it is easy to understand and not overcomplicated. The average Joe could come into this platform and get set up fairly quickly and easily. Customer service within Wild Apricot rocks too! 🙂

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

I know that us marketing folks use pre-recorded webinars over and over to save us time, effort, and energy... But a live person that comes on at the end should be able to cut off the webinar recording so that they can be heard and questions can be easily answered without background distraction.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

QuickBooks online doesn't integrate with this platform (though in not sure it integrates with any, really) so be prepared for that.... May be worth it to switch to QuickBooks desktop. 🙂

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Membership database simplification!

  ### 42. Best

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vijay S. | RF Design Verification and Test Engineer, Wireless, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Membership management makes easy.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Interface can be improved and made more flexible

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

Give it a try atleast

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Database management and exporting is easy and fast

  ### 43. Okay for starter sites - no able to grow too much

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2018

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Good to keep up with memberships and post events

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

How long it takes for support and customer support to get back to you. Unable to make the site secure (https). Unable to replicate pages with ease - must create a template which is clunky and hard to do.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

If you need to take care of memberships and events within the membership, very good platform.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good to keep up with memberships and post events

  ### 44. Effective in managing membership information databases, dues collection, and event fee collection.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph L. | Finance Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2016

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

I really liked the ability manage our multi-tier membership model with auto-renew features such as email reminders and reoccurring payment set-ups, and event registration / attendance tracking. It was easy to set-up events and programs for members to sign-up for and pre-pay online by connection our PayPal account to Wild Apricot.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

The design side of the events pages was not as refined as some of the other event scheduling specific web offerings. This was not a big issue for us as we were able to link our events scheduled on Wild Apricot to the event platform of our choice on the back-end for registration and payment.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer use the platform as our business model has changed, but while using Wild Apricot, we used the platform to bring a community of entrepreneurs and supporting cast together for pitch competitions, classes, and advisor connections. With a small team, this made managing hundreds of member participants easy.

  ### 45. Wild Apricot

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zelma W. | Client Retention Manager, Real Estate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2015

**What do you like best about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot is great for small businesses and creating and managing a small CRM/CMS. The ability to build a community atmosphere, register for events and also manage back-end operational tasks like accounts receivable and billing at a economical price is a plus. The ability to automate tasks such as emails is very simple compared to more robust CRMs.

**What do you dislike about WildApricot?**

Wild Apricot is not user friendly, it is hard to see the UI from the administrator login. The ability to toggle between user and admin view would be helpful. The name itself seems to put clients off when automated emails are sent out.

**Recommendations to others considering WildApricot:**

I would recommend taking advantage of the free trial prior to purchasing to ensure it suits your business needs. It is a very basic CRM and may not have the analytics of other products. If you are looking for a system that will scale with you, this may be the one for you.

**What problems is WildApricot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organization needed a customer management system that could handle reoccurring billing for annual, quarterly memberships at different price points. Wild Apricot makes it easy to see at a glance how many members you have in various stages at just a glance. You can set-up newsletters, events, campaigns at various intervals with just a few clicks.
