They are adapting to the changing world of virtual/hybrid conferences. They have exhibit halls, sponsor listings, and a lot of options for attendees to network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Whova? Whova's customer service is lacking greatly. Their Customer Success team is very rigid and inflexible with their wishy-woshy terms of service. They have made many changes in service on the platform over the 2 years we were with them, but some were restrictions of service which I feel we should have been notified about in advance. The new gamification section is a neat idea, but in practice, we find that it is more of a distraction for attendees to not participate in the actual conference. They instead are in essence spamming other attendees to gain points. We should have never given gift cards to the winners of the Leaderboard Contest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Whova: Whova makes your attendees create a free Whova account to get into their software. They create their own password in the process and you cannot help with a lost password. As an administrator, you have to have some technical experience, especially when programming the video streams from other sources. They have a built-in chat for technical support, but if you need to solve a complex issue be sure to contact your account manager for resolution. Be prepared to have a new account manager periodically. The Customer Success team is overtaxed and as a result, have a poor attitude toward customers. With the global COVID pandemic, our conference committee had to quickly figure out a way to host our annual conferences virtually. Whova provided an easy-to-use platform for our attendees which promoted networking and allowed for our sponsors and exhibitors to participate/showcase their products. The platform worked with most web browsers and there was no need to download additional software unless you wanted to participate thru the mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. When we used their registration for our big conference, we did not find it to be robust enough for our needs. It is likely fine for events that are for less than 100 people but not for large events.
