What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

Sprout Social has really in-depth analysis tools when it comes to Competitor analysis and social deep dives into brands. I feel as if I am able to determine industry benchmarks and provide my clients with really in-depth analyses about their growth, social performance, and more. What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

Sprout is excellent for finding creator profiles across all segments, especially niche influencers, which is the preference of some clients. It’s also very effective for understanding certain creators’ performance in terms of engagement and reach, allowing me to determine whether they will be a good fit for a campaign. I mainly use the platform for news and trend analysis for clients, as well as to help colleagues who are looking for specific profiles and can’t find anything. I primarily use the search panel and Signals in my day-to-day work. The platform is very intuitive, delivers all the results I need, is easy to use, and integrates well with other platforms and social networks I work with, making my work more accurate and efficient. The integration and implementation across the entire agency was easy, with excellent support, which made it easier for us to understand and use the platform. What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

The need for two-step verification when logging into the site is tiring; there could be a “remember me on this computer” button. Sometimes, this becomes an issue when sharing logins with colleagues. The platform can be quite slow, often disrupting workflows. Each time a setting is changed, the system reloads, which interrupts everyone’s work. Applying or changing filters can also cause loading issues. In addition, the platform feels outdated from a technological standpoint. For example, it lacks AI-powered recognition and relies solely on subtitles, something less common in today’s social media landscape. As a result, we lose valuable data due to the absence of AI voice recognition. What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

I love that Sprout Social Influencer Marketing recently updated their platform with a new, fresh look. The AI features provide a realm of metrics and information to review while selecting influencers. I specifically love the metrics that give a rating on how well the influencer's brand fits into my brand, and the one that identifies any posts that could potentially be red flags. This makes it so easy to vet influencers who could be a good fit with our brand. I use this tool every time I need to research an influencer before determining whether or not we could work with them. Better yet, the customer support makes it so easy to find answers to all of my questions, as they have live chat support directly on the website in addition to a wealth of help articles to help me solve any problems that may occur. I wish the search feature was a little more advanced. I would like to be able to search for multiple topics at once (for instance, someone who speaks about Higher Education AND Business), rather than only being able to search for one topic at a time. What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

I find that Sprout Social Influencer Marketing does a great job of finding me influencers that no other platform can find, and it makes finding influencers for programs simple work. The old version's affinity option was also key, as I could find creators that were similar to ones that clients asked for or influencers who match my type of creator! As for the search feature, I loved the filters I USED to be able to use, especially the audience race filter, which helped me look for more BIPOC creators since Canada tends to have fewer BIPOC creators. What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

The reimagined Sprout Social Influencer Marketing platform has been extremely disappointing. One of the features I previously praised, the Affinity tool, has been replaced with a version that is far less useful. The new version removed the filter options, which means any Canadian creator I select is now compared to almost all U.S. based influencers. This is irrelevant for us as we work exclusively with Canadian creators.

Additionally, the Signals/Report feature, which our Tagger representative could not explain during our meeting, appears to have been removed or renamed. The training provided was insufficient, and our feedback was met with no answers.

Customer support has also been extremely frustrating. When our rep was out of office, I attempted to reach support via email. I received a response only after 24 hours from an automated system, which failed to answer my question and only stated that the new system is "easier." This did not resolve any issues.

Filter options in the Home/Search section have also been limited. For example, the Engagement Rate filter was removed and replaced with a tag option called "Engagement Leaders," which is not helpful. Often we need specific engagement rates, not just creators with high engagement. Furthermore, some engagement metrics do not make sense as it is unclear how anyone can have an engagement rate over 100 percent.

Overall, the platform feels like a step backward and these issues significantly hinder our workflow and efficiency!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

It's not very helpful at times. You can search for an influencer and then you don't have a way to contact them if you'd like to pay them to promote your brand or service. It's more so for visibility of their posts in one place, and less so a useful tool that helps us launch campaigns. Communication with the infulencer needs to be improved.

It's easy to use, but lacking in execution. Because of this we tend not to use it as much as we thought. We use it about once a week or so. I would still recommend this to people trying to increase their knowledge of different influencers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
