What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

I like the sourcing process in Sprout Social Influencer Marketing; it's great for finding influencers that align with the client's demographics, and I've liked it historically. The reporting features are fantastic, providing great visibility into campaign performance and allowing us to pull live monitoring of campaigns for instant updates. The platform also helps with brand safety by flagging potential risks, which is really helpful and speeds along the process of vetting influencers. What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

I'm unhappy with the recent data changes and things being sampled. I don't love the content workflow approval because it alerts the influencer immediately, which isn't ideal when the client's comments are not complete. Also, I don't use the messaging feature much as it doesn’t provide full team visibility, even within organization logins. The recent need to authenticate for certain data points has been frustrating, especially early in sourcing when we aren't typically doing outreach yet because it feels like a waste of the influencers' time and we've had negative responses from people seeming to think it's a bit sketchy since we don't have the relationship yet. What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

I love that Sprout Social Influencer Marketing recently updated their platform with a new, fresh look. The AI features provide a wide range of metrics and information to review when I’m selecting influencers. I especially like the metrics that rate how well an influencer’s brand aligns with my brand, along with the one that flags any posts that could potentially be red flags. Together, these features make it very easy for me to vet influencers who could be a good fit for our brand.

I use this tool every time I need to research an influencer before deciding whether we could work with them. Even better, customer support makes it easy to get answers to all of my questions, with live chat support directly on the website and a wealth of help articles that help me solve any problems that may come up.

I am also super excited to try the new tool that Sprout Social Influencer Marketing just released called Recruit. This will allow my brand to create landing pages designed to attract and filter potential influencers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

I wish the search feature were a bit more advanced. I’d like to be able to search for multiple topics at once—for example, someone who speaks about Higher Education AND Business—instead of only being able to search one topic at a time. That kind of filtering would really help narrow my results and make it easier to find influencers who better connect with my target audience. What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

One of the things I like best is how intuitive and easy the platform is to use. The interface is clean and straightforward, which makes it quick for our team to search, evaluate, and organize potential creators. The lookalike feature is especially valuable, it’s been a great way for us to discover new influencers who resemble creators we’ve already had success with in our program. I also appreciate how quickly you can view an influencer’s audience breakdown. Since our campaigns focus primarily on the U.S. market, having immediate access to geographic audience data makes it much easier to determine whether a creator is a good fit. What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

One challenge we’ve experienced is that not all of OUR creators are verified within the platform, which can make it difficult to manage a complete roster of partners in one place. Additionally, we haven’t found the campaign functionality particularly effective for tracking content related to seeding or paid partnerships. I use Sprout Social Influencer Marketing to see how different brands are doing on social media and to find the best influencer fits for a campaign. It's very easy to use, and the data is pulled very quickly. It's also very intuitive, and even if a brand or influencer profile isn't in the system yet, it takes very little time to add it and start seeing insights rapidly. I think it could improve and add a specific section for the audience interests for some influencers. It's particularly helpful in gaining valuable insight on an influencer's content performance and their analytics. My favorite feature is Sprout Social Influencer Marketing's search tool, as it's the most comprehensive I've used and presents influencers that are relevant to our campaigns. The filter tool works very well, allowing us to find influencers who have audiences aligned with our target demographics. This is crucial for the niche topics and audiences we focus on. I don't really enjoy using the campaign management tools on any influencer platform. I have to track influencer information on various spreadsheets and reports and the campaign management tools feel like double work for me. I think maybe I might need additional training on how to use these tools because I have a hard time recalling how to set up the campaigns. I'm really grateful for the recruit system in Sprout Social Influencer Marketing. It's incredibly helpful to have a landing page where people can apply to work with us, and it serves as an always-on area where we can source influencers for future campaigns. I also like that Sprout has pretty good tracking features, allowing me to see all of the different posts during the given time frame as long as I set up my campaign properly. What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?

I guess there's two things that I think could be better. One of them is when I'm building out the campaign, there's a bunch of little things you have to do, and it isn't clear what the influencers are able to see on their end. I would really appreciate more clarity on that front. The other area is sourcing influencers. I know Sprout Social Influencer Marketing advertises a lot of capabilities, but using the platform hasn't been beneficial for me.
