**What do you like best about Simpro?**

simPRO provides a thourough process from start of jobs to invoicing.
It is (mostly) reliable and well supported.

All though simPRO is easy to use, there is a lot of support information to prepare for integration all the way throught to advanced use of the software.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Feature requests to meet company specific workflows are slow to impliment.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

simPRO has removed the need for paper which allows us to; Complete jobs quicker, Force structure to the job management process, Invoice faster, and Provide reports to senior management and customers with ease.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

Good value for money from many features packed into one product, and the licensing model is great (pool of licenses for desktop users, cheaper individual licenses for mobile users).

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Not very intuitive interface, too many controls, which can't be hidden. The quote and job interface is particularly poor for managing jobs with many parts. It's also a bit buggy which can take time to fix.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us schedule and track high volume of jobs, and with features such as importing jobs, this helps us keep on top of our workload.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

Simpro is easy to use, integrates with QuickBooks Online, and has excellent training resources and customer support. Their guided implementation process is unparalleled.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Terminology is Australia-focused in areas (while they add asterisks for US users, it's just not smooth enough), some features are clunky and un-intuitive, and simPOS (point of sale) isn't useful for our retail operations.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We went from carbonless service call forms and a whiteboard calendar to Simpro. It is literally saving our scheduling, invoicing, and operations procedures from an analog nightmare. It is especially helping our recurring revenue accounts by helping to automate invoicing and payments. Simpro is saving us countless hours in overtime and is drastically helping us improve our customer service.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

simPRO is very easy to work around and where working on small jobs (that last between 1-5 working days) provides good information around job margins all in the one system.
I haven't seen many systems that can be used by Sales, Operations, Commercial and Finance and simPRO will do this for small, packaged jobs.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

simPRO does not cope well with larger, complicated jobs.  There is no functionality to have multiple customers on the one job.
simPRO assumes that things are entered correctly first time and therefore there is a lack of ability to make corrections (for example no way to credit subcontractors).
Functionality to link to suporting systems was basic and we had to deal with this in-house.
After Sales support was poor, with our acount manager changing at least 4 times since implementation (3 years ago)

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project Managers are able to create orders whilst out on site and not having to phone in to a central team to place the order, this is more efficient and has saved the business time and money

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

It covers almost all aspects of running a Plumbing ( or any field service ) Company. I can use it as one place to do almost everything i need it to for our business. The reports also give great insight into how well our company is operating.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

It's complexity and permissions can make the user experiacne less than intuitive. The learning curnve is high and the learning resources seem to be a bit lacking. It's mobile experiance needs attention and support and training need to improve.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SimPRO manages our customers, sites and jobs. it allows us to schedule and manage workloads as job come in. We can run a number of employees and sub contractors all within SimPRO and can gain insight into our company operations.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

We run a medium - Large elctrical company and Simpro has helped our busy since we changed the ability for the guys in the field to put photos notes and there timeshseets from one app has streamlined our process, we can also use the eforms extension for our service reports.
Simpro support is always available and ready to help

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

The eforms can be blury at times and dont have the ability to convert forms that are in landscape.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timesheets from the guys where a big issue especialy the time it took to enter into each job for invoicing, Simpro as simplified this for us with the ability to timesheets for jobs straight away and it updating on the website and being able to invoice straight away

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

When I started my current role I was apprehensive  of the Simpro system as it a system I had never used it before, I found it very simple to use and super easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

At times it can be a little clunky, for example if I am checking a history for a site and I save and close the task I am looking at I will have to open the intial job again and go back through the stages just to get back to the point of veiwing the history.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to track appointments and seeing visits that require further work quickly, the fact I can review pictures from the field really helps me get the customers issues resolved and quickly.

simPRO has great support and ease of use. Being cloud is adds a lot of value. 
Integratin into our date base was very good.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Need to incorporate a pop up window for each site. The notes section takes too much time, service Titan and other competitors utilize a pop up window. For example - click on a site: late paying cutomers, or other reminders ... Construction coming up on 1/1/2026.

Keeping track of all business at hand - detail information relating to customers and sites.

It can be at times a little confusing to train new people on this software but once we get the flow going its very easy to manage and simpro does offer a lot of help options like the step by step is one of our favorite to use.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

I really enjoy the layout of simpro, it's job and asset creating is detailed and customisable which makes it ideal for any business.It refreshes fairly quickly which is helpful when working in a reactive team such as service.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

The layout of the week view for engineers, its looks quite cluttered and can be hard to navigate. There could also be more assistance on the use of reports, this seems like an excellant feature that could be utilised more.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has began to solve its scheduling feature, allowing you to create teams so only seeing relevant engineers. This means we are moving more away from other systems and using simpro more as a singular system for scheduling.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

It's one place for our software organization needs opposed to the archaiac groups of excel and word docs we used to rely on. Their rolling updates heavily involve the voted on ideas of other users. Them listening to user feedback so heavily is a nice change of pace from other closed off experiences.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

The UI and user experience is pretty rough and unorthodox. Things you'd like to be upfront and in your face are hidden behind menu, after menu. Scheduling is a ui nightmare, but I hear they've been working on it, so hopefully it becomes easier to understand.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

as mentioned before Simpro is allowing us to consolidate our information into one hub.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

Reduces Paper work in office, for tradies, etc. Convienence of Tradies doing PO's and time sheets from their phones is OK, but it is not easy. We ahve also found adding our own forms so Tradies can use from their phone is very simplistic unless one spenmds lots of money with consultants to fix.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Lack of any real help from Simpro and our "Account Manager", who may as well not exist. We often use a 3rd party Consultant to assist. Also teh way it guesses the job outcomes is not real or realistic in many cases, it need to be Red is a loss, Green or Black a Profit. The cost is also exhorberent, we pay almost $40K per year plus have someone almost full time administering various aspects of it.  So in real terms it is costing $120K per year, almost 2 peoples wages. IT IS NOT CHEAP, and only does half of what the salesman said it would do.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

in hindsight not much, especiually with teh csot being so high. Stops using lots of paper, we save maybe 1,000 sheets per week

It is easy to use and it integrates with other programs that we use such as Xero, Tango and Zapier which automates many processes seamlessly. Customer Support is always helpful and resolves issues quickly and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

That licences on eForms is not automated and requires an email or phone call to increase and implement.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BI Reporting functionality that is being released early in the new year will assist with weighted KPI's which determine our bonus structures.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

Very good tutorials that are built into the system itself. Plenty of resources to look through. Automation is a great help. BI reporting works well, albiet quite slow. API allows for intergration with other platforms.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Tends to have outages during the day, lasting for a few minutes. Typically around once or twice every 3 months.  BI reporting can be a bit slow to load, but we do have a lot of data. Support team sometimes take a while to respond.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps with allowing us to schedule work to the men. Forms are great for post work sign offs. BI reporting allows us to make business decisions based on real data.

SimPRO does a good job of integrating the basics - customer, site and contact databases, scheduling, invoicing, parts inventory, etc.  Our techs use the mobile app for almost all their "paperwork" leading to higher accuracy.  SimPRO customer support (account managers, chat support, email, etc) has been excellent and always easy to get in touch with.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

The scheduling calendar interface is cumbersome at best.  This is a vital feature for managing our technicians on a daily basis.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old paper system had become unmanageable and simPRO solved this.  Reviewing job and invoice history now takes a matter of minutes instead of hours.

Timesheets should be able to be exported more intuitively. Also, it's not possible to lock down timesheets after initial input for supervisory access only.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

Simpro has dramatically reduced the amount of paperwork used and the amount of time looking for paperwork. We now have multiple users who can all enter notes and status updates on all of our current jobs. It is also extremely easy to review notes and information on previous jobs.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Simpro has been increased our efficiency but like any software program, it will not be without some small inconveniences. Over the last 1 1/2 year, we have experiencd outages and slow response times on a couple occasions. Simpro has achknowledged the issue and has said it will be addressed moving forward.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simpro allows our technicians to provide us with notes and pictures in real time while on job sites. No more waiting for paperwork to come back. We are able to provide quotes to customer much quicker which ultumately results in more sales.

I like the ease of the system and the ability to have SimPRO complete alot of automated tasks which frees up time to complete other tasks.

The only down side to SimPRO is whenever an update is carried out the system crashes and is glitchy for atleast 2-3 days after which makes working a nightmare!

I am still awaiting two outstanding issues, but have not heard back at all - 684168 & 686409 these cases are now 2 - 2 weeks old I feel getting things sorted via the raise a case takes the longest compared to Chat

All in on piece of software - removes the need for multiple systems needing to interact with each other.
It's in the cloud so accessible on the go when traveling between sites and locations.

Auditability / lack of any change log - simPRO are improving with logging but this doesnt go far enough like other, similar products that are on the market. Too easy for data to change and not knowing who or when is a problem.

Access to data - like most cloud/saas systems APIs is the way to go but understandably these need developed upon customer feedback to what the users need access to.  
We recently are trialling a new method of data delivery with simPRO which hopefully will improve our real-time/in day reporting capabilities.

Only downfall we've seen so far to simPRO is the mobile app.  For some of my crew, there is almost too much information and can be either confusing or daunting keeping them from using it correctly.  I slightly simplier version may benefit some mobile users.

I have been using Simpro for over 15 years now, and I can't see myself using any other estimating software.

Downsides seem to be the new take-off tool. Although it is a good feature, it is still very clunky and hard to use. Maybe that is because I'm so used to the paper-based way of doing takeoffs.

The few downsides are being limited to what technicians can see in the field on the application itself.  Also, some areas are limited to being able to see things at a glance.

The Submit an Idea portal is a great asset for giving ideas on how the software can be improved and knowing what is being worked on. The training modules have come a long way since the beginning and are very helpful. There are a lot of different integrations that Simpro plays well with. We use the software daily and it does a good job of being a central place for us to run our business out of. It integrates well with our guys out in the field.

1. It's not user-friendly, many people can't figure out how to do some basic tasks in simPRO. 
2. Some functions are not very useful.
3. Notifications stack up after a short while, but nobody cares and reads them.

It gives me a tool to do my estimation, build quotes, and generate quote letters. It saves me time developing my own tool (e.g. an Excel sheet). Also makes it easier to review quotes among our team.

Colours for job status make the jobs easily aviewable of their status.

It is a one screen interface. I owuld like it that i can use one screen for my list and the second is an active task page. so when i click a job from a lsit on  my left site it loads the job on my right side so i can continue to review jobs on the list and not keep reloading the list.

There are a few things we have tried but they just lack a little refinement. I.e takeoffs.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

Ease of use. 
Support whenever required.
The system has made running our business easy with the ability to instantly keep track on progress of jobs, schedule staff. And invoice clients with confidence that we have captured all the costs accurately.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

We don't have much to complain about with Simpro. Some of the bolt on features such as EForms & SimTrac need to keep pace with developments as Simpro grows & improves the bolt ons need to keep up.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to easily keep track of inventory & billable hours.
Our staff are able to review upcoming works with all the attached details to help the jobs run smoothly.

Simpro mobile app users infomred that  it lack lot of features  limited functionality compared to the desktop version.

The team tailored it to our unique needs and meet to do onsite training of the product. That made sure the product and training fit out goals and crew.

It's a sizeable upfront investment and you need to have a pretty clear path/goal of what you want out of the platform and design.

Getting schedules, historys, and information into 1 central location so any of our techs/PM's/designers can jump into a project and get up to speed.

I like how easy it is to schedule jobs for the engineers, it is easy to navigate and pull off reports. It is good seeing the day and week view and having the different statuses of jobs.

It can be a bit glitchy at times when you are clicking through options too quick.

**What do you like best about Simpro?**

The different parts of the ticket are simplistic and easy to read. Updates are easy to view. Finding a history for the customers on the customer page is really easy. I do like the new customer portal look. The ease of setting things up is also a plus.

**What do you dislike about Simpro?**

Dashboards would help greatly, or a way to seperate different types of tickets in an easy query. Also, the customer portal having more functionality and  to show certian fields and hide others from view.

**What problems is Simpro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides one platform from ticket entry to the invoicing which is really nice. The down side would be how tickets enter the system. An email input would be helpful.

I don't like how you can't raise a quote from a failed asset on simPRO Mobile. Also it can't COINS as a accounting software progrm

Ease of use right out of the gate. Minimal initial setup. Very user friendly. Live chat for customer support is a huge plus.

Not a lot of options to truly customize your experience to tailor it to your company. The catalogue is sufficient but bare-bones.

General project management workflow between teams. The use of Tasks is a huge help in my role as it leaves clear definitions on what is required and when.
